Crazy that I can go in and sign up for credit cards, but they wouldn’t let me get change for cash because I don’t have an account for debit? Poor customer service

After reading the review, I was a bit worried about my first visit to this Citi branch. But to my surprise, I couldn't have received a better welcome! I am really pleased to receive enthusiastic help from all the staff here, especially Ms. Bao Khang Hong. Deserves 5 stars.

Run. Run to another bank because this particular branch is the worst in service I have ever experienced in banking. More specifically their Banker Kimberly Randall. She was the rudest and most useless person at that bank.
Not only did she take other calls while I had an appointment and was 20 minutes late in taking me, I’m pretty sure she discriminated against me due to my banking issue.
Never coming here again.

Horrible service. I do not recommend going to this branch. They don't even know what they're doing. I wanted to see a personal banker, and I was told they were going to let them know. I was waiting for 20 minutes, and Asian personal banker was just passing by without saying a word, just assuming I was waiting there for something else. There was a client in front of me waiting as well until she said I give up. I only have a quick question, and then she was stand up to leave when I told her she should just go up there and asked one of them since there was 3 personal bankers but only one was helping a client. So, she left very unsatisfied because they couldn't answer her question. It is mainly Asian employees there, and they seem racist. No interest in helping their clients. I felt stupid just waiting there until I stood up to ask a teller, and that's when a manager came to see me, but she provided me with terrible service since she didn't help me at all anyway. Overall, they provide poor/terrible customer service. Not only that, but the manager told me that one was off and the other banker that was helping the client was able to help me, but it was going to take 15 to 20 minutes more. This is ridiculous and pathetic. I just left extremely unsatisfied. Do not go to this bank. I only like the blue credit card from this, and that's it.

I came in to open an IRA, it would've been a new relationship with Citibank. was assisted by a girl name Bau, when I told her I wanted to open an IRA, first thing she asked me was who is your primary bank, you should take it there. Itold her I like the rates offered here, she still insisted I take it to my primary bank. I can tell from the beginning she was not comfortable doing IRA, as she kept brushing me off, giving whatever excuses not to help. I don't think these banker get any incentives with IRAs, since it get sent to their retirement center to process. I've never seen this level of service or lack thereof, and I work in the banking industry. I would be so embarrassed if I was her, the lack of professionalism. I thought a banker would want to assist knowing there could be other deposit relationship in the future. Working in the banking industry. I would be so embarrassed if I was her, the lack of professionalism. I thought a banker would want to help and possibly discover a financial need that there might be a deposit relationship attached to this IRA. I walked away with a sour taste in my mouth, I was very happy to get less than 1% of what they were offering at another financial institution, because they wanted to help and wanted the relationship. Hopefully Citi offer Bau some client experience training, she definitely needs it.

The manager/director, whoever that man is that walks around and asks if anyone needs help is really rude with zero communication skills. He cuts you off as you speak and just waits for you to finish talking to give you a short answer. Zero stars for a that socially awkward man. The tellers have five stars from me.

Banks generaly don't receive good feedbacks, but i'll give this FV CITI a solid 5 stars.My main agency is in Irvine, but i live closer to this one, so i go there more often when i have a question or issue. The people there are ALWAYS very helpfull and friendly.

Bankers:Kimberly Lam RandallBao Khang Hongso I asked Bao over the E-mail if Citi have update on the loan, and she tells me to call the customer service number. This is the reason why things are moving online, or overseas call center, because why do we need in person service if they can't provide service? and why those bankers even bother to give me their business cards to contact them if they aren't going to help? then these people start crying there are no jobs in USA. at where I work, I don't have time to be on the phone listening to customer service hold music. the second time I follow up with Bao, she said she is on vacation.I waited until my day off and I went in to Citi branch in person near my house, for such a large bank, I bet Bao is not the only one that can take care of my case.This is not rocket science or on-call trauma transplant surgery.For start, Lam said she have client coming with appointment, for the whole day, and was reluctant to help me. then she said she will help me until the client show up. (this was Friday 10.28.2022 12~ 1pm) .by the time I left, I did not see anybody. There was one client stop by, but she went to another banker who was on computer the whole time without helping me.and I am pretty sure it's not like she deals with Million dollar clients on the daily basis. At Chase bank, the Private Client banker help me just as attentive as the regular banker.I asked the same questions to Lam, she asked to see the Citi's offer email, and ask me to go home and call Citi myself. Lam even said calling from home takes the same amount of time as waiting in the branch, even after I explained to her I can't be doing that at work. If I call customer service during lunch break, and I am still on hold after lunch time, then what? they need to have those DMV automatic call back service (holding in line while not requiring your phone to be in the call).I asked Lam when is the deadline to accept the loan offer, she then asked me how long I wanted to wait. (what is this? Jeopardy? answered my question with a question), the reason I asked was because I need to have funds ready for a project, but I don't want the fund sitting and start accruing interests. So timing is important. She gave me an arrogant look that she is the authorized expert on loan and I should not question her. Yet in the end, I did not get any 3 of my questions answered.the same thing that upsets me about Bank of America next door. there are many personal bankers just sitting in the open view on computers, but none of them have time to help customers!finally I drove to Huntington beach branch on Edinger and Becky Jimeno help me called Citi's loan center. even tho Becky explained to me it is the same amount of wait time if I call myself vs personal banker. I got my answers in the same amount of time as Lam and Bao's gibberish.

Just walked in to try and open an account and three people standing around one customer while a line is waiting to be helped, the gentleman behind me asked if they needed all three to help one person and one girl threw her hand up as if to say one minute then walked off with the other girl giggling and laughing one of them was dancing around as they continued to talk in the corner. Forget it I'll open an account else where if this is your idea of customer service.

I should have taken it as a sign when I saw that they still had the old ATMs. All of the other branches that I've been to had upgraded their ATMs 3 months ago. Well, the ATM at this location ate up my money and gave me a receipt that said it couldn't give me my cash right now. I have taken it up to customer service, but really? This should not have happened in the first place.

Why does this bank only have 2 ATM's, one walk up and one drive thru, but both doesn't work? They always seem to have this issue all the time!! You can't go to the teller to pay for your cc/ you have to do it online. In the past you can. It's odd and time to close my accounts bc it's not worth it!! I'm sure other banks have more than 2 ATMs and they work ALL the time.

Terrible service. Tellers work slow every time
