These VISA gift cards are a scam, I was given one at Christmas last year by my son, went to use it at and there was no money on the card. Called VISA several times (in India) and they told us a replacement was being sent out, this was months ago and now when we called again this morning and gave them the dispute number to see what the status is they act dumb and say they can’t use the dispute number to find the information. So a year has gone by trying to get resolution and nothing. I have spoken to others and they too have had similar issues don’t buy a VISA gift card, they take your money and you get nothing in return, thieves.

To VISA *********** **** Upon calling 7/23/23 to inquire about retrieving my bank statements, I had started an open ticket, and was told to call back with said reference number. On 7/24/23, approximately 8:30am, I was migrated to the topic of a transaction dispute, which was not the case. A customer associate said that my bank account would be closed within 5 days, on 07/23/23, which I had requested, as I am a potential victim of fraud. On the 7/24/23 call, I was told that my account was closed. I am still demanding that my checking account records be mailed to my physical address. This is bad business. The most recent associate, placed me on hold, from the topic of a transaction dispute. I was calling for a personal bank statement record, not a transaction dispute. This is bad customer service.

AUGUSTINE SAMUEL VICTOR & David Prettina left VISA Singapore to the VISA US without informing the landlord and agent in charge. His unethical and unprofessional way in these, has caused the tenancy agreement to be unfulfilled, loss of income, no termination of utilities and stress towards the parties involved as a representative of Visa.

Just got home from a visit to Visa’s HQ office and…wow. Sophie Li is a very kind and patient listener. Was also kind of cute! She can put a smile on a squirrel dieting on an acorn. I’ll never forget my trip here and intend on coming back to see Sophie again.

Visa is tracking gun purchases. It will be used to target and investigate you when there is no reason it should be. Get wise and realize that Visa does not care about your safety, security and protection.

I have been a long-time Visa card member, always paid my card on time, and try and keep a zero balance at the end of each month without incurring interest rate charges. I like the ability to dispute unauthorized charges online and usually receive credit for those bogus charges. Unfortunately, I recently disputed a charge and was forced to apply for new credit and card number. Now I have to wait 5-7 days for my new card to arrive in the mail adding an inconvenience to not being able to use the card for a week. I tried re-registering online with the new card to gain access but now I have to wait 48 hours for the online registration to take place before I can access the account. I can only assume at this point with all the credit card fraud going on and the re-issue of new cards, the process at the banks is having a hard time keeping up with demand. I wish the banks would find a more expedient way to remedy situations like mine.

Visa I think the reason people have issues with VISA is due to the business that is issuing the card not really Visa the Company. Chase Bank handles my Visa Card and they monitor any suspicious charges and have on occasion assisted me when I wanted a refund on a charge. I get lots of cash back which I apply to my statements. I save on my purchases. I have my phone, cable TV, WiFi medications and more automatically charged to my Visa and I earn cash back. I'm satisfied.

Did we think the ever expanding bounty of rewards, cash back and travel credits would not leave the merchant class seething with resentment as the ones subsidizing these perks. The further we move away from the pandemic, I see more and more restaurants offering discounts for cash or adding a credit surcharge for their plastic wielding customers. It only makes sense with inflation eating away at their profits and foot traffic starting to slow that any and all methods of preserving revenue are on the table. However, having been surprised by a credit surcharge at a few places I have to wonder whether this method is short sighted as countless studies have shown credit customers spend more as a rule. In any case, the long predicted demise of cash seems premature and if the card issuers start to feel declining volume... can a thinning of the perks be far behind.

I bought a visa gift card back in January and due to the fault of Visa, it was not able to be activated, however I didn't find out until after purchasing and trying to use it a few times to no avail. I have spent countless hours on hold trying to get ahold of people, have been told multiple times I would receive a new one in 7-14 business days, but after more than a month I still haven't. Tried calling again today, this time asking to speak to a manager to see if this situation could be resolved once and for all, as the gift card was for quite a bit of money that I can't go months without. However, the representative told me no manager was available, would not let me wait on hold until someone was available, and finally hung up on me. I'm trying to be patient with the whole situation and know they are just doing they're best, but I really can't wait another 7-14 business days to hopefully finally see my money come back. I also work full time and can't spend all day on hold trying to reach a manager. I regret my decision to ever purchase this card and will never again use visa gift cards again.

I am in dismay. Attempted to make an over seas purchase that was declined and Card services working with VISA is not able to say why the transaction was declined. I called VISA directly and they are worthless saying I need to work with card services. What good is an international credit card that does not work and further their so called service department will not help... I am dome with VISA... Discover Card has been great all these years, I am in total shock and disappointment with d*** VISA. Card will be cancelled. If a merchant does not take Discover Card, I am not with you as well.
