Never shop Safeway online. When you can’t pick up your order, it can’t automatically refund you. You have to request your refund, and after that you still need take long long long time to get your refund.

The score was mainly the customer service experience at the self checkout yesterday, when I actually didn’t need help as round 12pm or so. Was blonde lady in her 50-60s watching over self checkout area. Had just about finished scanning my items and happen to look/think last minute items in the self checkout area, when she rudely came up to me thinking I needed help and I’m like “what “ and looked at her and and said no “ and she was like “o…” and walked away as she was surprised. It was not even a hello which she approached when it should be more “hi, are you doing ok so far”. Hope she was not stereotyping or racial thing on her end

Absolutely ridiculous they told me I could not place an order for donut pick up because they already had one order already for that day. Don’t advertise if you can’t fulfill the order.

Love this Safeway but they close well before 2 am unfortunately :( sucks for a night shift worker when you Uber somewhere and their posted hours are wrong

Where to start? If I was a family on a budget, I wouldn't come to this Safeway. Almost everything here is 30-40% higher in price than competitors like Trader Joe's. That being said, there are reasons to visit Safeway. Their Boar's Head Artisan sandwich shop makes amazing sandwiches. I like their sandwiches more than many independent and chain sandwich stores in the area. I also think the bakery does a solid job and makes quality cakes and other baked goods at a fair price. If I didn't feel I was being price gouged by the rest of the store, my review might be more favorable to Safeway overall.

The 2 crabs that I purchased were the worst ever. The crabs had a strong fishy smell, simply revolting. I think they should have tossed it out, instead of selling it to a customer. I do not recommend buying crabs at this Safeway.

There were no carts, when I asked I was told “yea, they have been stolen”. I had to cut the diet soda’s from the list, couldn’t carry it all.When checking out, the guy took no care packing the fruit and veges. Ripped leaves off cabbage and just threw everything in the bag.Left me with the feeling that management needs a lot of work!

Fab selection - everything you could possibly want grocery wise. Take away and fresh food fab. Great choice.

The cashier lady who was running lane 3 today was extremely rude and threw my eggs in a bag without even caring as gave and was very rude when I asked for another bag for them. She also was very rude to the lady who was ahead of me as well.

Overpriced. One impossible meat patty was $10 ($9.99 if you want exact) and I had to get two because I had a vegetarian friend. Real meat is literally cheaper at Costco. I could get 4 patties for $10 at Costco. Not to mention, fake meat is also WAYYY cheaper at Costco. Safeway is acting like a tourist trap. A small bag of jelly beans was $2.5 and my friend wanted it so I bought it for him and then he said he didn't like it. It was like 30 jelly beans in there for $2.5. It's literally a robbery.

I've been here a few times and every time the place looks very ran down and dirty. Also customer service here sucks. They are all very rude and seem to hate their jobs. They leave expired food on the shelves to sell. I bought a ranch mix and didn't check the date. I noticed it was six month's expired when I got home. That's horrible, won't shop here anymore.
