I want to shout out to the two wonderful women at Quest Foster City. I stopped in on a rare day off as a walk-in and was only able to schedule an appointment for 7 and a half hours later. Within 10 minutes, Rimi came out to the lobby and asked if I wanted to wait until 2:30, or do it now. Success!....except now the doctor's orders were not in the system. Lorelei spent extra effort hand entering the orders from my Stanford app into the Quest system. She drew my blood, and I was on my way. Thank you, Rimi, and especially Lorelei!

It was a very smooth operation because Chen, the lab technician is competent and experienced. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The only suggestion I have is Chen could have been friendlier and conversational; therefore, one star withheld .

Even for a walk-in appointment ( was sent by my Doctor Who has an office down the hall )you still have to wait a obnoxious amount of time. With no one else in the lab I still had to wait, then when it looked like I was on top, they decided to take a 15 minute break and penalize me for not having an appointment, which is a ridiculous process. More than one quest lab penalize you for not making an appointment and has a defunct appointment schedule. First come first serve it's seriously not an option.

The guy is completely uninterested in doing his job. I have email from quest for a test, an appointment, and it's showing up in the app that I have a test. But he said he needs to go for lunch and he can't find it in his system so he won't do it. There want any attempt to figure out how to problem solve. After wasting 30 mins I decided to go to a different provider.

I was a walk-in (no appointment), got there right when they opened and waited about an hour, which I thought was pretty good. The phlebotomist was friendly, efficient, and got my vein on the first poke and I barely felt it. One of the best blood draws I've had. She was excellent!

Understaffed, long wait times.

5 stars, hands down! Super clean, polite and friendly service, plenty of free parking, 30-minute wait only for a walk-in, easy to find. The lady drawing my blood was so careful and amicable. It seems that mostly derogatory reviews are related to walk-ins and then it’s on us, and not the place. For reviews to continue being helpful, we need to be unbiased and honest. The place does everything it compromises to do in an outstanding manner. I did have to wait since I didn’t have an appointment, but this was on me, not on Quest.

It's a weird place. No one at the front desk to talk to. And the entire checkin process is so impersonal. This process would be ok for something that isn't personal health related. But this is about health and people are anxious. Invest in a full time front desk person.

Surprised by all the low reviews so writing this to make someone else feel at ease. I had an appointment at 11:30 on a Saturday and I was seen around 11:40 (and out of there by 11:45). Everything was paperless and check-in is done on your phone. I was really nervous about getting my blood drawn, but the girl was kind and it only felt like a small pinch . Immediately after leaving, I received an email for a link to where the results will be uploaded (about a week later). Would return to this location again

This place wasted 90 minutes of my son's and my time because they wouldn't make a 30 second phone call.Once we checked in, which I must say was a dystopian process, someone came out and asked if I'm the one with the baby. After confirming, they told me that they cannot draw his blood because they did not have the right supplies. All they had to do was call me earlier in the day, but instead they waited until we drove to them. Her excuse was that "she was unsure about his age", then call and confirm.Quest has 2.6 stars on Google, and that is far too generous. They showed absolutely no respect for my son's and my time, and clearly have a problem managing inventory, and the fact that this place is still in business despite the terrible reviews shows just how broken our healthcare system is.

Very bad experience. There is a chinese guy who draw blood for my husband. He is very rude and shouts at my husband for not drinking enough water because he could not get any blood. And when I ask if we can get the results online he replied very rudely. If you don't have compassion with your job might as well not work in healthcare setting especially when your dealing with patients. We regretted coming in Quest Foster City.

No appointments available for weeks out, walkin for test when opened, huge wait even with noone in the lobby. Over 90 minute period watched them accept 2 people in front

Bad, bad, grumpy service. We did not have an appointment, and the lady barely had a breath to talk to us. I have been to the San Carlos branch, and it was bad. They ate not worth my business.

Waited for about 30 minutes without an appointment but is recommended highly to get an appointment before hand. Very kind staff and took my blood with barely any pain at all. Got in and out in about 10 minutes. Not a fan of the lack of person at the front desk while the console takes care of all of the check ins, but it makes sense.
