“I am a newbie in buying precious metals. I came in and told them what I wanted to spend. The guy who was there spent time with me and explained what to purchase and why. He was professional and courteous. I am coming back to buy more because of the service I had. Great experience”

“I've worked with the Ballast Point team for the past few years and they have done wonders for my financial (and mental) health. Because of their guidance, I was able to fully understand my compensation package and how to leverage it for my goals. Despite studying economics, I didn't really understand how to even get started with planning my finances, and they really have made it easy. It's great that they also have expanded their practice to serve clients in Texas where I am.”

“The Best Bank Ever.Great service always. I stayed with them even with others panicking because I didn't want to be part of destroying the only bank I've ever found with terrific customer service. Now that it's been taken over by Chase (which broke into our safe deposit box without notifying us, even though those fees had been regularly paid, and sent everything to the State as unclaimed property,) I can never trust that bank again. Another problem with the big banks is that they have a single phone number--you can't call the branches--and are faced with a confusing, multiple-guess menu with many barriers, if you can even get to a live person. If you do get someone live, it's likely they'll be in some foreign country and have limited English proficiency, and I don't want my banking information accessible to people who aren't even in the United States. Sad that depositors panicked and destroyed this wonderful bank. While I'm glad Chase will evidently protect my balance, their terrible customer service means I will bank elsewhere. I feel awful for the employees whose lives have been upended and hope they fare well.”

“A first-time customer visiting their physical office because I couldn't complete opening an account online from home. There's no front desk, but the staff was prompt to check in with me when one of them finally had a moment before assisting his other client. The total wait time was about 40 minutes (I arrived at noon), but again, the staffs did what they could when they could... to check in with me twice and to ensure I'm not just being abandoned, lol.And all I had to do was complete opening a new account on their iPad... which was sitting on the desk where I was waiting. I wish they would have just told me to try that while they're busy with other client. But now we know...Overall, very nice staffs and I got what I needed to be done.”

“I have been an occasional customer of the Wells Fargo Bank branch in downtown San Mateo for years. My experiences here have always been great. Located on 4th Avenue, the bank is one of few establishments in the area with its own parking lot. At times, the lot can be at full capacity, forcing customers to either idly wait for a space to free up or to park at a nearby public lot and walk a short distance. The branch offers an ATM machine at the front entrance and a few more at the rear of the building, facing the parking lot. Inside, the spacious and clean venue provides seating in the lobby area, new accounts section, and nearby the back entrance. Service is typically quick and smooth, even if you fall into a long queue. During my most recent visit on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 12, 2023, the tellers were very friendly and served customers with warmth and smiles. I was so impressed that I was compelled to ask to speak to the Manager on Duty to provide my positive experience, sharing my observations of client support from individuals who appeared to prioritize customer care with enjoyment. The Manager thanked me for the accolades given and agreed that the hard-working tellers deserved the recognition. Banking can feel like a tedious chore. Thank you, Wells Fargo Downtown San Mateo, for demonstrating that a trip to the bank doesn't need to be dreary nor unenjoyable.”

“Big shoutout to Sunny Yang at San Mateo branch! Seriously, she's hands down one of the best consultants I've ever teamed up with. So, we had this task of shifting some assets over to Schwab from another company. You know how it goes, tons of roadblocks: forms everywhere, notary stuff, and all that jazz. We were making calls left and right to our assigned agent, but they were slow as molasses in January and didn't really help. Enter Sunny Yang – she's the real MVP. She spotted our pending case in the system and reached out, offering her wizard-like assistance. Super responsive, friendly, and total pro vibes. She stepped up and started making requests for us, sending us options, and basically guiding us through the maze. Thanks to her, we managed to sail through the transfer like a breeze. Wwithout her, I'm not even sure we'd have pulled it off.Keep rocking, Sunny! ??”

“I may have concurred with the 2 star rating across the board however I think Wells Fargo has accomplished a lovely thing. By chance and never expecting to become a client, I visited the Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park branch to take care of some Wells Fargo specific banking needs. Thankfully, I had someone who was an account holder but much to my surprise, the customer service was absolutely amazing. Having been a 20 yr client of "conservative" Union Bank, what a refreshing ease of transaction for a change! Fast forward a few months, had the same " in house, Wells Fargo need" Called blindly on New Years Eve! The branch manager picked up, within 1 hr, was at the branch, an assigned account manager addressing my needs and out the door, SUPER thrilled to be a new client and my banking needs addressed to a tee. Based on my previous interactions and a recent account opening at another bank up the street (acronym: BA") I can truly say, BRAVO. The fact that this branch doesn't treat clients like internet hackers, money launderers or down enemy #1 is truly an appreciated and a welcomed look. Thank you Wells Fargo, Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park Branch. (Resident in the area since 1980.)”

“With all the covid upheaval from the past 2 years, the branch is now open during business hours 5 days/week. The tellers are great, very friendly and doing their best with a small staff. I miss the old B of A before the remodel of about 10 years ago. The atmosphere was more welcoming. But I guess the changes were necessary from a financial and security viewpoint. I'm grateful to have a bank and ATM that I can walk to.”

“I walked in extremely confused about how to go about transferring funds from one institution to another. Frank Benson was so helpful from the get-go! He hopped on the phone with me and the other institution to help facilitate the transfer. I had my 2 pups with me and he was even kind enough to grab some dog treats for them as we waited. Thank you for explaining the whole process so thoroughly and kindly!”
