Not a huge fan of this particular Chase Bank. Maybe their management staff has changed from a few years back but my dealings were not very positive. I had previously met with some of their investment advisors and didn't cone away impressed. They had also enrolled my wife who at the time didn't speak fluent English in a checking account that charged her $ per month if she didn't maintain a very high balance; some may view this as a predatory practice. I corrected the situation and got the fees back but didn't feel good that she got signed up for that kind of account. I feel the employees at the Chase Bank off Norfolk in San Mateo are much more honest and on the level and do my day to day business with them. I use the ATM at this bank and nothing else.

I had a great time visiting this branch to open a chase saphire preferred card! I had been eyeing it for the longest time and recently they decided to offer a really great intro bonus. I heard it was better to open an account in branch (better perks) so I made an appointment here with Priscilla! She's amazing and we had so much fun chatting about travel and our future travel plans! :) She was also super skilled at answering all my questions and overall helping me to open this card I've had my eyes set for a long while. She even rush shipped it for it to arrive earlier. She's the best! Thanks again!

This is absolutely the worst bank. I've never endured such awful customer service in my life. A young Asian banker helped me. He had such an ATTITUDE it was ridiculous. The guy literally works as a banker and he must think he's second in line to the throne or something. I have to switch banks. I had heard negative things about the customer service at this branch and it's TRUE. Giving one star is even too many stars...

This is the closest branch to where I live (UNFORTUNATELY). The tellers are usually pretty good (there's a girl who's always there, she's friendly and nice) but weird enough the two times I was helped by the managers there (one male one female) were the two times that really left me frustrated. My most recent trip went something like that 1. I had to deposit a check with $x 2. I had to make a transfer for an amount slightly less than $x I asked the teller (who was the manager) if I had a hold time on the money (i didn't want to be charged with any fees or anything) she told me I needed to sit down with a banker I waited for a solid 10-15min (after waiting in line for the teller/manger for over 10min) spoke to a banker.. asked her the same questions... she says she needs to ask her manager.. goes to the lady who was my teller (manager). comes back to tell me the answer is yes WHY COULDN'T SHE HAVE JUST TOLD ME THAT WHEN I WAS WITH HER AT THE TELLER WINDOW?! INSTEAD OF HAVING ME SIT AND WAIT? i just don't get it?!?!?! she was also really rude when I was interacting with her at the window, ignored my questions and just very short.

Went in for a Notary as I have done before and was told by the Associate I now have to make an appointment- no "let me schedule one for you" or this is when I can help you" but only, you can try the other associate - went over to the other office to see if she was available but she said she was booked too - again, no assistance on booking an appointment- went to the clerk at the counter and asked to book an appointment- all she could do is take my name and number down on a sticky and now I get to hope they call me fo an appointment. really Chase - you are way better than this - you Associates in offices need to go back to "Customer Service" school - it is never "No" but "this is what I can do" - I gave 2 stars because the clerk was very apologetic but did not know the schedule for the team that said I had to schedule an appointment with. Otherwise it would have been 1 star.

This is a big multinational bank and the staff here are quite unprofessional or untrained or something totally wrong here. 1) They do sloppily slow service and can't maintain a proper queue system to record names 2) Did run from post to post for a simple check deposit as I had questions why they confirmation slips quoted many business days while its an official/certified check and should be readily honored. After seeking consultation w/ Manager learnt that she was not shuttling between this and another near by branch, strangely there were two in charge managers where one (gentleman) can't speak professionally well without an attitude and the other(lady( would try to explain for a good 15 mins for a dumb reasoning. All along they can't seem to differentiate a regular check and an official check.. you don't need an MBA or a trained banker to know that. I learnt later that its a procedural thing but experience could be a lot better.

had to get money into a chase customer account quickly before a deadline. took cash to the branch to deposit it, both teller and banker said it was not allowed so i was turned away. then i call the main number and i'm told it is possible if it's a business account. wouldnt it be reasonable for their employees to mention this to me before both of them turning me away. They need more training.

This review is about the branch manager Victor. I have been meaning to write this for a while as Victor has been pivotal in helping me set up and navigate my new small business. If it weren't for him I probably wouldn't have my business now. He is the sole reason I am banking with Chase, despite the cold, negative dead ends I continually reach with the CS people when I call the main line. I am so bummed but happy for Victor that he has been promoted to another branch, though it's no surprise. I guess I will be driving to Pacifica for my banking needs from now on! Thanks Victor!!!

I was a victim of an online hacker. I had to close my account and reopen a new one. Michelle L. was assisting me and she did a wonderful job. She was very patient, knowledgeable, and kind. She offered excellent customer service. I spent over an hour with her and she never rushed me. She wanted me sure that we were protected from any potential fraud. Thank you, Michelle!

Chase bank managed to lose my trust in less than 7 days. This must be a new record. In short I opened a new account and funded it with a check. They suspected the check was fraudulent since it was an out of state check and for a significant amount (of course I was never notified of this). The originating bank for the check was notified the check was authentic by the check writer. Whether or not that bank gave Chase the information regarding the check's authenticity... Chase decided to abruptly CLOSE MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT CALLING OR EMAILING ME because "we have to notify you in writing for account closures" which is snail mail and can take 7 or more days to arrive. Yet they urge you to sign up for email paperless statements to save them money and paper? Then they don't email you or even give you a courtesy call when they close your account? The Chase dept trying to clear the check didn't even call the Chase branch the check was deposited at to determine more information about me, the account holder. What is more significant than closing an account? And they could only confirm why my account was closed when I physically went to the branch. I called customer service and the Actual Branch the Check Was Deposited at and they couldn't tell me why I couldn't access my account online. Then after we determine why they closed my account they wanted to leave it close because they didn't want to "cause any problems" with the recall of the check. So they actually don't want me as customer (indicated by keeping my account closed while the legitimate check is recalled) because they can't successfully Vet a legitimate check? Hmm that's a great business policy, let's just close our customers accounts without contacting them, and keep them closed because we don't know how to resolve the recall of a legitimate check. Please avoid this bank and their TOTAL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!

This place sucks, I opened an account and deposited two checks that were my only source of income. Banker told me some funds would be available immediately, after I deposit the checks she tells me nothing is available until next day. It's now been 3 days and I still don't have any funds available! I went back into the branch and Noone can give me a straight answer and I waited a half hour. Do yourself a favor, do not bank with chase!

This location is good, but they seemed to always be short staffed! Please add more employees so there isn't a line out the door! And why are there about 2 other employees just standing behind the counters while there is a long line? And just ONE teller working? Please get it together..

I've only gone to this branch a handful of times. I can almost always expect a line going into this Chase. A lot of the time there are only one or two tellers at the most. No "hello, how are you?" before you make your transaction. They're just straight to the point, "what do you need and how can I help you". This branch gets the job done as far as transactions but that's about it. I wouldn't make this branch my regular go to eventhough it is closer to me than the San Mateo location.

Tip for the boss: If your ATM's are picky about the checks they take then staff up with more than one teller especially at LUNCHTIME on a FRIDAY. Or instead of running around looking busy actually man a teller station for 10 minutes. Didn't you used to in the beginning? I'm sure the stapler works the same way as when you trained.

Fees fees fees! I opened this account through Washington Mutual with zero fees as long as money transferred monthly. Wamu closed and became Chase. Had no idea that account terms changed until I got a notice of a low balance. They've been charging me $10 a month for a year and a half!!! I never checked the balance because I don't use the account so i assumed the same balance was in there. I went to the branch and they didn't want to do anything until I threatened to close this account. Then they tried getting me to move all my other account there - heck no!!! Manager offered to return two months worth of charges - said that's all he could do (yeah right). I feel robbed! Gosh, I just logged on and saw that I never finished this review from 2012.
