I rarely go to radio shack true value and today I was reminded of why. I went in to purchase a toaster oven. I walk through the front door and a younger gentleman is sitting at the register. No greeting. I say hello and ask him where I might find a toaster oven. He goes quiet a minute and then says “isle 19 if we have any” and then goes back to staring at the computer screen. I go to isle 19 and they have one overpriced toaster oven. I walk back by the register he’s still staring at the computer sitting in the chair I walk out the door without a thank you, did you find what you’re looking for?, or have a nice day.

Living in a small town should provide us a chance to get better service as we are always bound to run into each other AND word of mouth spreads fast. I am not going to name and names AND I would have pondered speaking to the manager if I didn’t overhear his conversation with the employee. We have four hardware/home improvement stores in town and today I visited two looking for this little part. The first had all the staff sitting and looking apathetic. I was barely acknowledged, asked where bulbs were and I was greeted with a response that reminded me of when my kids were teenagers and they huffed and rolled their eyes. Then when I returned empty handed and asked if it could be ordered ?, I got that x?. After listening to the conversation with the boss I knew what was to come, started to get ? but thought it just isn’t worth it. I wonder if customer service is ?.I know life is very tough now. Prices are high, wages are low and we are greeted daily with more ? ? designed to divided us and keep us agitated. Having to work under these conditions tests the best of us, we should remember it doesn’t take any more effort to be kind and we are the ambassadors for our businesses. How would you want your employees to be if you were the owner or manager?

Worst radio shack I've ever been too. Can't even return something that doesn't work because they're too far up their own assess. Also just trash selection and very rude associates

What ever you do, don't ask if this is the last Radio Shack standing, you will get your head chopped off. Very rude young man behind the counter. He needs a Snicker bar.

I bought a striker lighter, and it did not work. Then I bought a red dot scope and it also did not work. Let's hope that the two fishing licenses we bought are legal and will actually work.

Dude was rude. Was upset we called it radio shack even though theres a big radio shack sign outside. He wouldnt even take his hand off his chin to help us find what we needed. We just left without getting the charger we really needed.

i like going into this local store. i have found great items that i never expected to find there. i don't hesitate to share face to face with anyone how great that is. but when i go in the store looking for help in the electronics section. every time i do this man who works there, by the name of " nelson" has absolutely no customer service skills, doesn't listen, talking to me a senior citizen woman like i don't know what i'm talking about. then still talking at me with total disregard and i walk away to get away from a man who is just not a nice person. too bad you are either a good customer service person or you are not. nelson is not period.

Sunday afternoon lazy rude staff. Completely undisciplined and without any meaningful knowledge of job performance in a retail hardware setting. At one time this was a good store and competition should be a good thing. Bottom line is there are two other competent stores in town so no good reason to waste time parking at this oneGuess I need to put atleast one star to post.

Does not refund or replace the very electronics that they overcharge you for. That should have been my first clue.

Went to buy a solar charger for my phone for a camping trip. Upon bringing the item home, I found it was broken out of the box. I went back down to Radio Shack to return it the same day. I noticed on the receipt it said "no returns on electronics". Huh that's weird, no returns on electronics at an electronic store? When I got back to the store, the manager who did returns wasn't there, but all the employees working guaranteed I would be able to return it because they sold me a broken item. So I got a new solar charger at a different store and went on the trip. Finally after trying for a week of trying to return it the manager showed up and told me they won't do the return, for selling me a broken item, and that I must go through the items warranty. The item warranty only replaces the item, won't refund they money. So now I'm out $100. Don't buy electronics at this electronic shop.
