Love this spot. The tide pools showed us a bunch of crabs and muscles.

Review primarily for the rv dump station, as we camped with our travel trailer nearby without hook ups. No park entrance fees, $10 (card only) to use the RV dump station located past the ranger station to the right. Just past the 2 dump stations there is a potable water spigot for filling up fresh water tanks.

Our family has been enjoying Mackerricher State Park for 30 plus years now. It is well laid out and offers a beautiful setting of camping spots within walking distance to the ocean. We see wales, go fishing, or just camp around the fire. The weather can be foggy sometimes but to me is wonderful.
Restrooms: Brand new restrooms are being built and updated as of July 2024.
Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed on a leash and on most beaches.

I come a couple times every year for last 30 years and it has always been a great place. The sand is always evolving.

This is a very picturesque slice of the Mendocino County coast. The boardwalk in the day use area overlooking the water is absolutely breathtaking. Clean, comfortable campgrounds. I would definitely recommend a visit.
