I've never had a negative experience with Ferrell Gas, but this particular fill was extraordinary. It was a torrential rain storm and the young man who came to fill my tank donned his rain gear and battled the elements!

During the heavy rains in the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area in Feb 2024, I placed an order for propane anticipating to have to wait at least a week or longer. Much to my surprise, the delivery was made the following day!! Thanks for helping us feel a little relieved knowing that I wouldn't run out of fuel.

Site visit was thorough & Ferrell Gas rep was very helpful, answering all of my questions and explaining exactly what work would be needed before larger tank could be installed. Very pleased.

We've been customers for 4 years (Account # - 233874930) and have generally been pretty happy with Ferrellgas service -- UNTIL THIS WEEK. ? We've called three times to speak to a manager about our rates. Each time, the representative at the call center was very nice. While a manager was not available at the time of our calls, we were promised we'd get a call back. Each time no callback. So it's not the call center's fault ... it's an inexcusable failure in management. We even drove to the local Ferrellgas office in Fort Bragg only to read a sign on the door that the location is CLOSED. This is very frustrating and a complete waste of our time. Unless we can get our issue resolved, we'll be shopping for a new propane supplier next week. 4 Stars for Customer Service ... 0 Stars for Management.----------Monday, March 25: Two days after my post, Ferrellgas responded to my review by providing an email address asking for more info. I then sent the following message to that email address. I hope this will finally lead to a resolution."Thank you for your email acknowledging my situation.My request is simple: I need to speak with someone at Ferrellgas who has the authority to lower the rates I am paying for propane.I want to give Ferrellgas the opportunity to retain my account, but, after three attempts last week and wasting hours of my time, I was unable to discuss this with anyone who is in a position to make a difference.Please call me at 707-xxx-xxxx and let's try to come up with a solution.Thank you,

I placed an order. They cancelled it “accidentally” kept my money with zero notification that it was cancelled, then processed the order a week later. Kept getting spam voicemails asking to confirm my physical address. The absolute worst.

The service I have received has been exceptional, except for the times I ran out of propane (after placing an order when my tank readings indicated 25-30%) due to unforeseen events not under your control, such as weather or propane shortages, etc. Otherwise, I would only ask why not use the opportunity to offer your regular costumers who use your website a chance to see what the current price of propane is for their account? Doesn't have to be daily or hourly. Maybe just one day per week since that is typically what the propane suppliers have done in the past. I checked on line and all Ferrellgas offers is the phone number. Your doing so might be the FIRST company to offer such a thing for their propane customers and would certainly be in line with your "mission statement" of:"{At Ferrellgas, we work every day to uphold the highest standards of safety and service in the industry. We are always looking for ways to make your propane service even easier.} We'd love to learn more about your latest experience with us. Disgusting! Save your hard earned money!!! Stay away from a company that promises to deliver “timely” and provide “emergency deliveries” which they do not!! Just stay away.Customer service employees and delivery personnel are very kind. That part has no issue. Phones were answered but with empty promises. Ferrell gas takes your money and then don’t deliver based on the date of the invoice. An invoice is a contract! And they do not abide by that…

The delivery was great and the driver was thoughtful and kind. You promised me a $50 discount on my first fill-up after I signed up for the 'auto fill.' I have not seen that discount on my bill! I would appreciate it if you did the right thing and kept your promise ! Thanks, I appreciate being a customer for over 15 years.

I've been happy with the service since we moved here in 2016. The drivers are timely, and kind. Those in the office answer questions and are also kind. I highly recommend their service.

In today's world of maximizing profits at the expense of customer service, it was a total delight to discover Ferrellgas. Terrific women handling the signing-up logistics, making sure everything was covered and done with such sincere warmth and caring. On top of that your prices beat the others. So-- 5 stars. Glad to have found you!

These days it's difficult to find customer service that gives customer service. Ferrellgas delivers on both ends: phone and delivery people give terrific service. This is much appreciated!

An awful experience from the very beginning. I set up an account in October 2021, and after taking $300, they told me that they would be calling to schedule tank set up. I did not receive a call back. After the holidays (January) I realized my gas was getting low and I hadn't gotten a call. I called Ferrellgas back and asked what I needed to do to set up the tank. After describing my tank to a second person, she said that it sounded like I might need a new tank, that they were out of the rental tanks due to COVID, but had one I could buy for $1200. I decided to shop around. After a couple of weeks of comparison shopping, I called back and found that the one they had for sale was gone. I asked if they had any advice on how I could get service, and they said the inspector could come by and assess my existing tank to see if it was safe. The inspector came out a month later (February 2022 at this point) and confirmed that, yes, the tank was unsafe. He told me that Ferrellgas rents tanks for $45 a year and that the first year is free. I called the office, and they said they had a rental tank they could install. They didn't say anything about costs, but I assumed the installer knew what he was talking about. Finally in March 2022, I got a rental tank installed for an additional $111 (installation cost). I just got a bill for the first year rental, which I was told was free, and it was $65 rather than $45. I asked if they would waive the fee, and they refused. The people who work here are nice enough, but they aren't very good at communicating, and the headaches I had to go through just to get 72 gallons of gas were ridiculous. Not to mention the cost! Almost $500. Don't go here.
