Drove by and saw this store. Actually turned around and went back so we could poke our heads in. We were DELIGHTED by what we found. Beautiful fabric and goods from West Africa!! As well as so many interesting, lovely, unique home goods. I can’t wait until we are in the area again!

Poor customer service snd a rip off. Never purchasing anything from them again. I wasn't give the opportunity to return or given a discount to purchase more fabric to equal the yards I was looking for.

What a great and interesting store. The owner, Rebecca, is very helpful!! I'm a quilter and found so many awesome African fabrics mostly from Ghana. Everything in the store is really interesting.

I was looking up the business hours and saw a 1 star review, with a really positive message... That seems like an error... one that might lower the overall rating. So, I will say I love this shop. They have home goods; indoor and outdoor decor, dinnerware, table linen, cooking utensils, baskets, accent furniture, rugs, and books. They also have a small selection of beautiful clothing (some vintage), a large collection of beautiful jewelry and handbags. There are also beads! All of the items are gorgeous. If you wanted to see everything you could spend at least an hour. I have purchased many items from here, the prices were fair and the people working there are helpful and knowledgable. I have also exchanged items (tags on, in excellent condition, with receipt,) my husband has picked for me with no trouble at all. FYI, Tangents in Mendocino (also an awesome place) has the same owner.

I loved this place and I'm so glad I stopped in with some friends while we were visiting Fort Bragg. There were so many cool authentic looking tribal items so even if you don't end up buying anything (they're a bit pricey), it's worth the trip just to look around. The store is organized in a way that there will always be merchandise that meets your eye level, so no matter where you look, there is something new to see. Highly recommend checking it out if you have the time. Their handcrafted soaps smelt divine along with their perfumes. I ended up purchasing a beautiful flowy shirt from the $10 sale rack that hung outside! Can't beat that!

I've driven regularly past Ananse Village for years, and had never stopped in, not quite knowing what to expect. It's far larger and more eclectic than I guessed, with a large selection of diverse items from around the world -- art, jewelry, cloth, clothing, books, and more. I'll certainly be back, and highly recommend stopping in!

Just too delicious a shopping experience to enumerate. My personal favorite - handloomed and dyed fabrics from across the world with fantasticly low prices. Second fav - the massive selection of handmade Ghanian beads! oh lala! And there is much more - it's a world bazaar! Stop and shop, you won't regret it!

I am sorry to say that I passed by this store every week for over 7 years and never stopped. Not really knowing what it had to offer i was astonished with how large it was, what unique items they carried and the kindness offered by the owner and staff. This was on Christmas eve and the selection was full of amazing and beautiful gifts. I will not try to tell you everything that they offered, you will just have to visit the store and see for yourself. I ended up getting a small pot for plants, a huge deep blue Ramen bowl and a wonderful cotton throw blanket. The items are from all over the world. I will definitely be there again.

From the moment we walk in to Ananse Village, we are always impressed with all of the very cool and many unusual items that aren't available anywhere else. We stop by often, to see what new items have arrived and revisit the items we enjoy seeing.

I stopped by for smoked paprika knowing some spices were sold at Ananse Village. There was no paprika but I had a most enjoyable walkabout looking at jewelry, clothing, myriad gift items and delighted in chatting with the sales gal, Happy. She was!
