On Sunday 01/14/24 I went to the Fontana Joann store. I have shopped at Joann Fabrics for over 20 years and this is the first time I have experienced the most rudeness and racial experience from an employee by the name of Cheryl. She was preparing to cut my batting & fabric when another customer came up to ask her to get someone to assistance in unlock cabinet to get scissors. This employee is literally just dropped my fabric and walked away to help her. After five minutes waiting for her to return I went asked the store manager to help me and as I proceeded to tell him what happened he also was looking for her to return and asking me where did she go? Well I was checking g out the lady who the employee was helping came up to me to apologize for how Cheryl treated me she agreed she was rude and wrong for how she treated me. The employee came up to the register while I was there and passed right by me and just stared at me, and still did not apologize for leaving me standing at the cutting counter. This was very unprofessional and outright rude. If I could give her a rating of nothing, she would get it.

Awful and unprofessional location. Always dirty, never has what they say they'll have online, and has long waits for fabric but I've never been so pissed that I felt I needed to leave a review until today. You guys closed an hour early but I really could care less when you close, but stay true to your posted hours. Driving all the way over just to find out your lazy employees decided to close obviously before they were supposed to (posted differently in their own app about that specific location). Michaels was closed but at least they were upfront about being closed and didn't waste my time. I will not be returning to Joanns and if I do I'm going to be annoying.

I dont shop here often and I am glad I dont. November 2022 i lot mu receipt ok totally my fault i still had no use for the things so took the loss and got store credit for way less of what I paid. I asked if they could look up the purchase using the card I paid with and he said no we dont do that anymore. So ok what ever my fault got the store credit wrapped the store credit with the receipt and put away in my purse. Today December 2023 I needed something was near by remembered I had store credit I stopped. Tried to use it the cashier said "you have to call and activate it." I said no its a card I was given for a return. She said i dont know how to use these I have never seen one. Mmm ok, can you have someone come help you? I asked. She went and ask a man on the sales floor and she comes back and said he said its store credit. I said yes correct from a return i ha previously made. She asked when i showed her the receipt. She still was confused. The man comes and tries. All these times when they slide the card it says reading error. I mentioned it to him he said I don't know why but you must have used it. It has no money. What? I haven't used it thats why it was still wrapped in the receipt. I have been trying to contact corporate and i guess you can only do it by email. Looks like they just disappeared my money. I don't recommend shopping at Joanns specially not at this store.

Was visiting my family is so Cal. Took my Mom to her favorite craft store Jo Ann Fabric. Greeted at the door with a friendly hello and welcome by Gina. She was very helpful in locating some items I didn't think the store carried. My mom was picking out some fabric for the Holidays. Robin, was attending what they call cut counter. She was very helpful helping and suggesting different kinds of fabric that go together for thanksgiving. My mother ask for a certain kind of fabric, but robin wasn't sure. she then asked for assistants from gina. she new exactly what we were looking for. This store employees truly work as a team, I highly recommend Jo Ann Fontana for any craft projects you may have coming up.

Went to get some fabric and SARA was no help. She has glasses and short hair. She had a horrible attitude and was not willing to help after I asked her a question about how many yards she thought would be best for my project. Luckily someone else came and they traded and DEBBIE actually helped and was so sweet and nice. SARA do better and learn some customer service you have horrible attitude. Learn from Debbie.

When I catch feelings I tend to get into a baking/crafting mood. I prefer to go to mom and pop shops to support local businesses, or Michaels for proximity, but I happened to be in this plaza with my friend who was getting a deal on kitty stuff at Petco. It's funny cause she meant to look for stuff at Joanns but I was the one who ended up buying stuff. So as we were browsing I stumbled upon this super soft clean White Grey Plaid Eddie Bauer fleece ($17.99/yard). I was inspired to make one of those cute tie blankets so I browsed for a second pattern that was cute and would go well with the first design. I found this super adorable Happy Sushi fleece ($14.99/yard). I took the fabric to the service station where they section off the material for you. I asked for 2 yards of each material. Service was friendly and informative. I was advised to get special fabric cutting scissors ($19.99) since fleece would be difficult to cut through. Crafting can get expensive. Even with a 50% off coupon on the Happy Sushi fabric, a 25% promo on the White Grey Plaid and a 25% off on the scissors... the total was still probably more than just buying a blanket. Oh well... sentimental value is priceless. If you find yourself at Joanns and tempted to buy something, remember to go on their website or app for promos and coupons to make it less pricey. I had other crafting equipment at home. I looked on you-tube for the various styles of executing the tie blankets and found at least 4 different styles of tying the knot. I decided on the loop through technique that requires a bit more work but I find it has the nicest cleanest looking execution. I am really pleased with the finished product. I don't think I'll be making another blanket any time soon but I feel like Joanns is really pricey even with the coupons and promos.

Great store just don't need to return anything. Manager, I think her name is Kandi, makes it as difficult as possible. I wanted to return a lamp. I had the receipt and was well within the time frame. I bring the lamp in and get told I have to wait 30 minutes because manager Kandi is on her break and will need to do the return. Fine so I shop at a different store and come back. They finally get Kandi and start to process my return. Then she tells me because I purchased with a debit card so I need to wait for a corporate check. So now I've got to hope I'll get my money back by check sometime in the next month. Joanns in general makes everything so difficult despite their "easy return" policy on the receipt. This is not the first time a Joann's manager has made the return process difficult. Save your time shop amazon at least they provide some quality customer service.

Feeling so grateful for Gina in the fabric department she is very helpful and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to help us decide what fabric is good to use for what we needed the fabric for. Not to mention very patient with us . She turned our frustrations into laughter. Just what we needed!!

It's very clean and the items you need will be found easily as they're in their respective aisles, and it's relatively empty so there's no long lines. Only issue is that workers are hard to find for assistance, and their is no cashier stationed in the front so you'll be waiting around for about 30 minutes for a person to assist you. There is a button to call for assistance but even then they take a while to get to the front, there is no self checkout either.

Most all Joann stores have courteous, helpful and friendly personnel. However the employees at the Sierra Lakes store deserve kudos for being extremely professional and keeping a well organized store. Nothing like "hands on, face to face contact"!

The customer service and bad attitude of both the manager and Sara are what's prompted me to write this review, after my visit to this store yesterday;I was looking for just 1 skein of yarn in a certain color. The Joannes website showed that this store had 2 left in stock. And since my local store didn't have any in stock I decided to drive to Fontana store so that I could buy the yarn. What followed is what I can only describe as disrespectful and rude and unhelpful. First I tried to find the yarn myself in the shelves- but there wasn't any in that color. After that I asked for help from what was supposed to be the manager. When I approached her and explained I needed 1 skein of this certain yarn, and it says on their website there are a couple skeins left in that store , she began speaking to me in slangy English and bad grammar and offensive language - she said "that don't mean nothin' that don't mean nothin'"! She also repeated a phrase which I think meant that she hadn't finished putting out the entire amount of yarn stock. And that she assumed that was why I couldn't find it. She began walking away from me over to the fabric cutting table. She asked the girl Sara for help. Sara asked me "do you have a picture of it?" I shook my head- mostly in disbelief. So all 3 of us, including the person who I later found out was the manager, walked into the yarn section, where I thought they'd see that NO there wasn't any of that yarn. I repeated explained what I'd already told the "manager" with slangy language a few minutes before this. But Sara pretty much began a sort of speel about I don't know what. She took out her cell phone after scanning the code on a yarn shelf that had another color of yarn. And she then speeled more about all of the other stores on her cell phone list. I conveyed to her more than once that I just wanted to know if she knows if their Corona store may have that yarn color in stock. Since I'd driven so far there due to their website having it in stock there in Fontana. I don't think she even understood what I meant. Because when I asked her AGAIN if she can tell me if the Corona store might have the yarn - she just re-read the list of other stores she had in her cell phone. I don't know what the significance of that list meant. But that seemed to be her proof that I needed to stop asking her for help in finding that yarn. So I finally gave up and asked her one more time "so again, your telling me that it isn't at any nearby stores like Corona either ?" She said that's right. I just said okay and shook my head and walked away to leave the store. As I was walking in the nearby aisle I heard her saying angrily to the "manager" who had the language problem "how many times am I supposed to repeat something?"So I stopped at the front register and asked to speak to a manager. A minute later, the person who couldn't help me in the first place - even though she is a manager came walking up. I said "your the manager?" She said nothing and screwed up her mouth . I told her that Sara person was rude and offensive and that I don't appreciate her treatment. And that I'm offended. The "manager" screwed up her mouth again and then said "I'll talk to her".I left.In the first place - why was the person who is supposed to be the manager not able to help me find 1 skein of yarn? And why was she trying to delegate another person to help me, when that Sara person so clearly resented being asked questions by me - a customer? As a last bit of information; none of my friends or acquaintances in any of my crochet or quilting groups shop at Joannes because of the rudeness of the clerks. A couple years ago everyone I know have boycotted Joannes because of the awful experiences we've had there. If I wanted to be treated so rudely I would've gone to wal Mart!Amazon was going to be my next try. And because of rude-ass trash sp
