I brought my dog with a heart condition. And after a treatment that didn't work, they had her sleep at all. They are good doctors and they are not that expensive.

When I first took my kitty Rabi Dr Zafar barley checked him and said he has fungal disease gave a medication from his office just to give him bath didn’t explain medication is poisonous we can’t use very often he didn’t bother to do any blood work or any antibiotics we took him every week he just said give him pedilyte he keep loosing weight within 3 weeks he died , I can never forgive that doctor for not taking care or prescribing him the right medication.
I will never recommend anyone to this place if they love their pets

I cannot recommend this animal hospital based on my recent experience. When I brought my dog in for limping, the doctor conducted a quick examination but failed to thoroughly assess his paw or suggest necessary diagnostics. Instead, he quickly prescribed medications without a comprehensive evaluation. While my dog and I were waiting in the exam room my dog laid down and I saw his paw was a little red so I took a picture and showed the nurse and asked if what they prescribed and the 2 injections they gave him would help with that. I felt like she dismissed my concern and said that it would help with the inflammation but didn’t bother showing the doctor my picture or anything like that.
After noticing that my dog's condition worsened throughout the week, I sought a second opinion from a new vet, who informed me that two of the prescribed medications should not be administered together due to potential gastrointestinal issues. This concern was confirmed by several other veterinarians. I called about 4 other animal hospitals near me and they told me the same thing.
When I contacted Fontana Animal Hospital to express my concerns, their response was dismissive, and they did not adequately address my dog's existing health issues, which had been previously communicated. Although I received a refund, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the distress caused.
I strongly advise potential clients to consider other options for their pets, as both the quality of care and customer service were lacking during my visit.

BEWARE COMING HERE. Dr only wants to make a quick buck. My sister brought in our sick kitten and Dr recommended an IV and told her he wasn't sure she would make it.Our kitten was clearly not going to make it, but I am not a Vet I would have not known ! The Dr prescribed $135 worth of medication and had the nurse distribute the medication before leaving the vet and our kitten passed away on the way home. Why make us pay for medication if our kitten was clearly extremely ill. I expected the Vet to use his knowledge and best judgement instead of selling us medication and sending us on our way. After going to speak to them and tell them we don't need the medication they said we cannot return it because they already used it. Smart tactic because clearly our kitten was not going to make it. They tried to tell me that with the symptoms our kitten had it was really weak so again why send us home with medication when they could have told us the truth and relieve our kitten peacefully. I am no Vet That is why we went to the Vet for professional help. Do better! Our kitten is dead and we have all the useless medication. I asked if they recommended euthanasia and they said no. An honest Vet would have. Towards the end of the visit my sister asked the Dr what the cost for the visit and medication would be he had the audacity to make a joke and laugh and said one million dollars. Obviously it wasn't but what kind of joke is that especially when vet visits are expensive and she was sad and worried. Please be careful where you take your pets some Vets just want your money.

It has taken me 2 years to write this review as I didn't want to write a review while in grief. Connie was great with my pet in every visit, unfortunately I regret bringing my Dog here I believe he could have gotten better care somewhere else. I had to put him down due to a heart condition, I know that he wasn't going to live his full life but I also know now that he didn't get the proper care at this vet as this vet did not prescribed the proper treatment. If you need shots or something quick for your pet this place is fine but if you need long term care for your pet this place IS NOT the place for you. Don't gamble your pets life you will deeply regret it.

Let me start off by letting you all know that I am a registered nurse (RN) and in the middle of the last year of my nurse practitioner (NP) schooling. Not to toot my own horn, but basically, I am on my way to being what I call an "underpaid doctor with less schooling" or, in the words of a physician I've worked with, "You're basically a doctor." Before you read any further and say, "Well, you should have known better since you're almost an NP," ... FYI, my specialty is PSYCH, not medical, although I do, of course, have some medical nursing experience. Moving on.. I work/live in DTLA, and my mother lives in Fontana with my dogs. I go to see my mom and my two dogs one day each week whenever I can fit it into my busy schedule. My preferred vet didn't have availability for teeth cleaning that worked with my once weekly in Fontana schedule. So, I found FONTANA ANIMAL "HOSPITAL," and they were able to schedule my dog's teeth cleaning basically that same day. Great! Right? When the vet examined my dog, he supposedly said she had ringworm? My dogs do have allergy issues. However, during this time, they were not that bad, but they did have some redness on their paws. I must have said no, it's allergies. We are just here for the cleaning. Fast forward one year.. allergy season again... I was so busy with school, work, and managing both my and my mother's health when I found my dog with a circular rash on her belly. Again, my preferred vet was not available as soon as I needed it and could be available myself. So, I brought my dog to FONTANA ANIMAL "HOSPITAL" because I remembered that they do walk-ins. Great! Right? WRONG!!!!! The vet and his workers said, "She has ringworm, we told you last time! you have to throw everything away, shave all of their fur, blahblah" .. well .. I also had a rash on myself.. which the vet told me was also ringworm?..... After a few insanely stressful weeks, I realized I was spending too much money at this vet, and my dog was not getting better. One time they even let me leave without giving me all of the unnecessarily prescribed and overpriced medication... I had to talk them into giving me a refund for that, which they did. I even almost redid my entire backyard because FONTANA ANIMAL "HOSPITAL" insisted it was ringworm so the spores would be in the soil. Thank God I only got as far as having my gardener treat with fungicide.. I was finally able to get my dog to my preferred vet, and they confirmed it was allergies and basically said, "idk what it looked like before, but this isn't ringworm". I feel terrible that I put my dogs through all of that topical treatment which burned their skin ....FONTANA ANIMAL "HOSPITAL" said I needed to treat them both.. even though neither of my two dogs (or myself) ever had ringworm. TAKE AWAYS: -THREE wrong diagnoses by this vet. (My rash was viral and stress induced.. my two dogs rashes were allergies.. -Unnecessary trauma for my dogs being kenneled, shaved, and having their skin burned by unnecessary topical treatments... -Minus $2k of my hard-earned money and almost my sanity (trying to treat me, my dogs, and two households for "ringworm") As for me, I will not be back, and I recommend you take your fur babies elsewhere. One star because the girls did seem like they wanted to help, but I'm just not sure anyone here really knows what they're doing....

if i could give 0 stars i would ! i was recommended to take my dog here for his rabies shot and 4 days later my dog passes away ! the first picture was him before his shot & the second was 3 days after , my dog was perfectly fine prior to taking him in that day so the only people to blame is them because he was a inside dog there was no change to his diet nor was he in contact with any dogs after ! tryna say it was parvo if it was parvo there would have been signs prior to that visit !

We took our cat who has been throwing up. They saw him right away. Turns out he has kidney disease. They gave us medication and a prescription for food. Staff was attentive and the vet was informative. He is feeling better.

Called in on the phone because I was required to switch Animal Hospitals. Rude attitude, very unfriendly! I will certainly not bring my dog to a hospital that DOES NOT SMILE! 1st young lady answered with the intrest of me stating what I needed with so she can proceed to her day. Once I heard her tone, I told her "Nevermind, Ill take my services elsewhere" (She should've clocked out). 2nd lady picked up the phone with somewhat customer service and assisted me with urgency and got the prices I needed. If their front desk has that customer service Imagine what service the vets have! Maybe this company should teach their employees some customer service or TO SMILE! Overall, Customer service was unacceptable !

It's a bit pricey but I've been taking my dogs and cat for over ten years. my sister was told by another vet that her dog had parvo but she didn't feel that was the right diagnosis. I told her to go to this vet and she found out her dog didn't have parvo but parasites. I trust them and Connie is amazing and the main reason I continue to go there for my dogs.
