Don’t go here… Big Rhonda the customer service clerk and Baldy Zack the manager (who’s obviously compensating for the lack of something) refused me service in every possible way by telling me there isnt any way to cash my pay check because the payroll isn’t local but i work down the street. They wouldn’t try it or even give an exemption to a local worker and from the beginning of the encounter made it known they didn’t want my service. Don’t go here because everyone is lazy and entitled at this location.

They should just close this down. Customer service is the exact opposite you receive here. They don’t want to do anything but sit around all day and collect a paycheck. Truly pathetic…

I echo the others here: they don't serve the western union.Only cash very specific checks and no Cashier's checks. When I asked if there is anywhere that cash checks she told me to look up check cashing locations. I replied that I had, and this location came up and that was why I was calling. She launched into an overly detailed and unasked for description of their policies, at no point addressing my question.

This is our go-to grocery store because it's ALWAYS clean, quick, offers great selections, and is the best bang-for-your-buck in the area.

Purchased 90 flowers from Folsom store. When I tried to return 8 within 7 days was told flowers are "NON-RETURNABLE". No sign posted, no disclaimer on receipt. I was told notice was on website!! But I could not find it! :0(I guess before I ever buy from this store again (IF EVER) I will have to visit their website first, OR, go to ORANGEVALE store. They take returns. Finally found return policy for ALL OF WINCO: Q: What is your returns policy?A: Our Quality Assurance Policy means that we offer full reimbursement or replacement for any items purchased that do not meet your expectation of quality. Any return that does not fall within this policy must be approved by store management. All returns should be handled at the customer service counter. Any return over $10 may require store management approval. Returns for product purchased at a different location may require management approval.Back to Top.Q: Can I return a perishable item?A: It would need to fall under our Quality Assurance Statement.Back to Top.Q: I bought too many of a certain item, can I return the extra ones?A: It depends on the specifics of each situation, these types of returns will be at manager's discretion. As can be seen, it is all up to store returns manager. Unfortunately, the returns manager at Folsom store is not as customer oriented as at other stores.

I have shopped at a couple of WinCo Foods stores in the Sacramento south area before. The stores are a big mess all the time. The shopping experience is not enjoyable! I want to pick up what I want and get out of there quickly! But this one in Folsom changed my view of WinCo Foods. They're good! I don't expect WinCo Foods will have much customer service. The main selling point of WinCo Foods is the good quality food at an excellent price. The Folsom store is keeping the low prices, good quality, plus a clean and well-maintained store. Much better than the other WinCo Foods I have shopped at in the past! The parking lot at this location is also spotless. It was pretty busy when I was there on a late Sunday afternoon. But I was still able to get a parking near the entrance.

First time in a WinCo because we don't have these down in SoCal. Prices were amazing and there were a ton of good deals all around. Why the 2 stars then?1) This location or chain (not sure) doesn't take credit cards; only cash and debit is accepted. In this day and age, who still carries cash? Also, as most people likely know already, you should never be paying with debit cards given the opportunity cost of missed cash back and points from credit cards. It's a major disincentive shopping here because every other competitor accepts credit cards. If WinCo's concerned about the fees, just hike the price of items by a few cents. They certainly have the margin to do so and still be competitive.2) Crappy customer service at the front. Dude supervising the self-checkout put me on blast and lectured me condescendingly on the no credit card rule in front of everyone, as if I should've known that already. I get that retailers will pretty much hire anybody these days given the labor shortage, but they should really make sure their customer-facing roles are staffed with people with basic social skills. Uncalled-for outbursts like this just leave a bad impression of the brand. So what started out as a really impressive visit nosedived at the end.

I've been a fan of Winco since I shopped Boise Winco years ago. Modern day Pak 'n Save, but Winco is employee-owned. I've been in this store a couple of times in recent months. It's "flipped" compared to the Orangevale location. A little challenging to find things. Today this location had excellent cilantro. I don't find the best bunches at the Orangevale location. BTW, if you like cilantro but don't eat it fast enough, get an herb keeper online or at a retail store. Cilantro lasts me 2+ weeks if I change the water every 2-3 days! Shopping Winco you'll find that they have most of what you need but not always a variety, it must keep costs low. Be sure to check out the bulk items - candy, beans, pasta, trail mix, nuts, dried fruit, and tons of seasonings and herbs. They also sell inexpensive herb jars.

Winco is a great grocery store for those who are primarily concerned with saving money. Prices on most common grocery staples tend to be lower here than anywhere else in town, including Wal-Mart. Liquor prices are also low here, and it's stashed all over the store. There's the liquor aisle, the walk-in liquor fridge, the end-cap liquor fridge, plus customer service. Pro tip: If alcohol is the only thing you're buying, you can check out at customer service. The employees are usually friendly, but not always, to be real. The store is an acceptable level of clean, but sometimes just barely. Social distancing and mask orders were absolutely not enforced at this store during the times that they were in effect. For this reason, I actually stopped shopping here for a while, until I was able to get fully vaccinated. Areas of the store that I personally routinely avoid include the meat and produce departments. I prefer to purchase these items from more sanitary environments. So, what keeps me coming back to this store? Other than the low prices, it's mainly the deli (except the lunch meat, which I do not recommend). The pizza dough is surprisingly not bad. The Chipotle chicken sundried tomato wraps make a great lunch for a short hike. The mashed potato bowls from the deli are one of my top "guilty pleasure" foods. I'm sure they're so bad for you, and they definitely don't adhere to the diet recommended by my doctor, but I usually end up eating one at least one per month. They come loaded with mashed potatoes, fried chicken, gravy, corn, and cheese. So bad, but so good. The thing is, they're almost always out of mashed potato bowls. Out of the last six times that I've driven to Winco in hopes of finding a mashed potato bowl, I've found two. On Saturdays, they are often sold out by noon. By contrast, they make way too many turkey bowls and breakfast bowls, which sit unwanted near the empty chicken bowl spots. Winco, if you're reading this, please start producing more chicken bowls, and less turkey bowls. I bet half of the turkey bowl sales come from people who really wanted a chicken bowl, but were unable to find one, anyway. Overall, sometimes I wish that the store was cleaner, or less crowded, but it's kind of a "get what you pay for" situation. I will continue to come back because I like saving money, and many of my basic necessities are simply cheaper here than they are anywhere else in town.

Why are there only 4 cashier lanes open on a Sunday afternoon. The lines are insane and the cashiers are painfully slow. Must be amateur hour at the cashier lanes

Hmm. I just finished watching the evening news. One of the segments was on food produce inflation price increases. Ouch. Then I thought of the Folsom Winco Foods grocery store. They have fresh produce and quality groceries at bargain prices. If you want to save some money, Winco Foods may be for you. I say " may be" because the catch is that you bag your own groceries and this place is capital B Bizee crowded during the day especially on the weekends. But savings galore! The produce and bulk foods are my favorite sections. They also have a bakery (front left corner) that you can order decorated sheet cakes, a hot deli counter ( back right corner next to the bulk food), and pizza counter ( front middle before the checkout stands). In the hot deli, they have whole roasted chickens $5. Fried chicken combo (4 pieces $4.55). At the pizza counter, you can buy a whole pie or just a slice. The produce is super fresh. On my last shopping trip, I noticed staff sticking fresh produce. Non stop. The prices are fantastic. 33 cents a cucumber. 33 cents a lemon. Fresh packaged herbs were $1.98. 88 cents an avocado, the avocados were not soft mushy and not rock hard either. Huge heads of lettuce $1.99. Living butter lettuce $3.99. The bulk food section is awesome. They have spices legumes, pasta, grains, rices, flours, dried fruit, nuts, loose leaf teas, and candies. Loads of items. Some are in pull down release containers and others are in barrels that you have to manually scoop with a scooper. Plus the grocery store is open 24 hours and seems pretty secure. At various times of the day that I have shopped, I have seen Folsom PD drive through the parking lot occasionally. If Winco had staff to bag groceries and had newer grocery carts, the rating on this puppy would be through the roof.
