Management or lack thereof . So took a class. I had a week free pass . When i wa about to leave the guy at the front desk asked me do i wanna sign up. I was ltelli g my self i need to incorporate boxing back into my workoutd so i signed up. It seemed pricy but i was like " f*ck it" . I signed up and the guy with the cauliflower ear was being super nice and started telling me about all me i mate see some other charges for like tissue and and cleaning supplies for the gym once a year etc etc . I still signed up and he seemed happy. I talk to several other people who attend the gym and one who use to be employed there and they all told me i was over charged. I proceeded to continue to workout for the remainder of the month but i knew i was gonna cancel because i wasn't happy with being over charged. I called to cancel a week before the next bulking cycle so i do t get charged again and the cauliflower ear guy at the front desk told me i have to come in. I went in and he tried to get me to freeze my account but i told him no i wanna cancel and he seemed aggravated. He got the paper we signed it and he cut the bottom piece off for me and i thought everything was squared away. I recently received a call from them thinking they were trying to sign me back up and a email . Boy was i wrong. They were contacting me to update my payment. They never canceled my membership and i still got charged for a month and they were trying to get ANOTHER MONTH!!! I contacted the gym they took my number down and said they were gonna call me back and never did. I called a few days after that and they said you are canceled , idk what you are talking about. Apparently they canceled me because i called and complained about them still charging me but i wanted my refund also. The individual i was on the phone with kept making excuses about management and a refund. I kept picking with him and he was like " oh yea it's a note in here that you came in and cancelled " I'm like well the date should be the computer and he said "yea it was two days ago ." So whoever answered the phone that day officially canceled me when i had to call and complain about them trying to charge me again and getting my refund the first time. I just read several other reviews that they have done this to many other people. It's pathetic , stealing and deceptive . I called my bank and disputed this transaction because i know they were gonna make more excuses about my refund and would've kept taking money out my account if i didn't have a new card .

They should rename the gym to UFC Folsom Kids Gym as a kid it's a fun place to be,as an adult the depressing atmosphere is very obvious as soon as you walk in the door and the owner has you believing it's a positive environment because you don't know any better, give it time. Catering to kids is his only way of supporting the gym that at one time was thriving but Mark the Owner is losing members cause his way of dealing with clients that have a legitimate concern about his way of doing business and screwing over the members is to cancel their membership. My reviews will be a better fit for UFC Folsom than my business!

If you’re looking for a different training/fitness style than the standard box gym, this place is a great option. The coaches are experienced and motivating, and the classes are high energy and enjoyable. All walks of life and skill levels are welcome, and everyone walks away feeling like they challenged themself. Small group classes provide a nice comraderie

NOT A GYM FOR WOMENAT this gym during jui jitsu I have had men grope my breasts, and continuously press their bonner against me in guard, and mount. I told Rudy the manager and he told me to take it as a compliment. Rudy would also RELENTLESSLY stare at my breasts and comment on my body as well as other woman's body. The men here do not have your back. Also white belts crank heel hooks so be prepared to get hurt if your a girl. ( this happened last December and I'm just comfortable now saying something) . Also the way some of the men here talk about women is unacceptable. I wish I left this gym a long time ago. And you pay first and last upfront then they don't give you your last month. Rip off.

I truly wanted to love this place :( When my son started football, I called the gym and asked if I could cancel our membership because my son wouldn't have time to go to the gym with football practice being 5 days a week. And the man I spoke to said I could just put the account on hold but that I needed to come into the gym and sign something in order for it to be put on hold and stop charging my card monthly. My son and I both came in that same day and put the account on hold. Some months later, I realize that they have continued to debit my account every month. So I called the gym and explained the whole thing and the gentleman I spoke to said he would put my account on hold (which if they can just do over the phone why was I asked to come in and sign paperwork in the first place ? lol) and that he had to ask the owner if there was anything they could do about the overpayment. I got a call the next day saying that they would give me a credit on my account for the overpayment. Which at the time I was totally cool with. Well fast forward to more recently, we have moved out of the area and my son is in his off season for football. So I call the gym and ask for a refund on the account balance so I can put that towards another membership and at a closer gym. They responded with "ill ask the owner" again. I don't hear back for a while, call a few times and then finally talk with the GM who tells me they will not refund the money, nor can the transfer the balance to another ufc gym because they are privately owned. And they will not transfer the balance to another person (like to a friend or family member) lol so basically because a gym employee didn't file or process my request to put my account hold properly I am just SOL? I feel like the whole thing was just very unprofessional. It took months of calling to finally get a 'sorry not sorry' in response! So I guess my only option now is to ask my bank to go to bat for me.

We signed our boys up here for a few months on a month by month contract. Our initial reaction was wow! Nice facility, spacious, clean, and the manager, Mike, was super friendly and made a great first impression on us. When we were signing up, he charged us for some boxing gloves and hand wraps, instead of the initial registration fees, since the gloves and hand wraps were a little cheaper. We thought that was super nice of him. We also thought the membership deal was awesome. You pay a flat fee each month and can come to as many classes as you want, up to 5 days a week (there are no youth classes on the weekends). The coaches were passionate and taught our boys a lot. Our boys liked Gabe the most because he was strict and really pushed them to their limits. They looked forward to coming every week and most weeks we would take them 4x a week (their coaches were there M-TH.) After about 2 months, my husband called Mike and let him know we would be canceling our boys' membership. While we and our boys loved UFC Gym, the main reason we decided to cancel is because it is far from our home. Mike told my husband he had to fill out some paperwork the next time he came in to cancel, and also mentioned freezing was an option. My husband said when he went in the next time, Mike looked at him without greeting him and said, "So, are we canceling or are we freezing?" You could also freeze your membership but since we knew the distance was the main issue for us, we wanted to cancel. My husband was taken aback and surprised by Mike's unfriendly and straightforward demeanor. He said as he filled out the paperwork to cancel and even afterwards, Mike made him feel really unwelcome. I wasn't there with my husband that night but was really surprised by what he told me because Mike had always been so kind and personable towards us. My husband said he felt that as soon as Mike saw he was losing our business, that he immediately changed tunes. As my husband said, "Some companies only care to be nice to you as long as they're getting your money. But as soon as they don't, their true colors come out." Even though we had paid through the end of the month, my husband didn't take our boys back to UFC Gym after that encounter with Mike due to Mike making him feel so unwelcome. That is really too bad that Mike acted that way. Just because you lose a customer, doesn't mean you should burn all your bridges with them. You never know when continuing to extend great customer service and kindness could win a customer back or when their word of mouth could help you gain new customers. But with how Mike acted, he lost us as customers permanently.

This review is in regards to management and not the trainers at all as I haven't used the gym.Just before Christmas I purchased a Christmas special that included a month of training for my son and a kit of some gloves and a couple other things so he had something to open on Christmas but when I told his mom what I got she didn't approve so the next day I tried to return it the guy working there said he needed to talk to management and took my number but then never called. When I returned to see why I was never called and what the outcome would be I was denied the refund with an explanation that it was because there was merchandise included but I had the unused and unopened merchandise with me to return and was never called because they forgot. I see several reviews posting issues with management and billing at this gym so be very careful about giving them your money.

The instructors are incredibly helpful and caring. It’s a great place for beginners to learn and also perfect if you have some experience and want to turn up the heat. Mike the manager and all of the coaches have gone out of their way several times to make sure I’m getting everything I want and more out of my membership. Amazing culture, sweet atmosphere, and I can’t recommend this place enough.

I started training here a few months ago with my son who enrolled in boxing to deal with bullies in middle school. I have previous martial arts training but have concentrated on the conditioning classes for boxing, kickboxing, and HIIT. My son stopped going to boxing but I've stayed on because of the great workouts and the dedication of the instructors. I highly recommend this if you're interested in an alternative fitness workout from former MMA fighters and other combat martial artists.

There a half rate fight gym that charges you hidden fees. Your better just skipping this one.
