I went to check out this colorful clothing boutique four years ago since I loved the colorful bags and clothing that I saw on their Instagram page. I guessed that it was more of an older woman store but I thought that maybe I could find something colorful that I liked. I walked in and there were white a few customers in the store (a group of white teenagers with their mom). I started to browse around and was immediately greeted by the owner Anita who I know was the owner when I saw them on Facebook. 5 minutes pass by and the other group of young white women and their moms leave the store and it's a just me, the owner and the old lady white employee named January and a 25 year old white young customer. I was just looking around when the white old Hag Employee named (January) approaches me out of nowhere in the store and comments about how how I should get this big blue purse that's to the left of me. I reply back to her aww yes it would match my blue ruffled purse I was wearing on my arm that day that was matching with my blue colorful outfit that day. The old hag approaches me and reaches out to touch my purse after I brought attention to my purse (the old snooty white lady didn't even ask my permission if she could touch my purse). I thought she was coming over to compliment my purse which is what she first started doing. Then the rude hag stopped and rudely pointed out that I had my purse tag still left on she started to rudely berate me and question me about why I had my purse tag still on purse which had the loggo brand and the barcode on the back of it. (I had lots gotten this new blue riddles purse off of eBay and yesterday was my first day of wearing it out, I had just forgotten to take that tag off and I actually liked the little Alyssa tag on it and thought it was cute). It's my purse and I can decide to leave the tag on it if I want old HAG! Seriously this rude snotty snooty old lady just wanted to pick on me that day since my purse wasn't elegant enough to be in the store since it had its tag still on. The old bag literally questioned me and asked me if it was mine. I got offended and told her that yes it was mine and that I just wanted to leave the tag on and asked why she was asking? And What her problem with it was? January then condescendingly answered back in tone like she was trying to be educate me that people might try to think I'm stealing and that they might think it is one of theirs. I was shocked and dumbfounded that this old white hag had just called me a thief and thought I had just stolen one of her bags and was walking around the store with it. The whole time while the old hag January was berating and bullying me about my tag, she was smiling with the biggest stupidest grin on her face. She could tell I was clearly upset and offended and didn't look concerned at all of offending me and trying to make me feel bad. I told hag January she was treating me like a thief and was being racist. The old hag just continued to smile at me and tell me that's wasn't her intention and she never apologies once for offending me and being racist towards me. Who goes and attacks a young customers 40 years younger than her about a silly little thing like a tag on her purse that they feel is extraneous and gauche?! This old employee hag named (January Lee) does who is her 60-70 and looks like a old witch and who has a snotty sense of entitlement. I've been treated like a thief like I was going to steal things at a lot of stores and have been discriminated a lot throughout my life and dealt with racist experiences my whole life. No other person has rudely commented or been snooty about my choice to leave tags on my own purse. It was none of that old hags business to bluntly comment and antagonize me about what I should do with my own purse.

Beautiful clothing, excellently curated and sized for women of all shapes. This boutique is unlike anything in the area. I love coming here and finding a truly eclectic piece of clothing or outfit that is stylish and tailored. The owner Anita is delightful as well as knowledgeable about the designer brands she carries. If you're looking for a sophisticated outfit or styled pieces to add to your wardrobe, this is a must stop.

I was having a girls day with my sister, in Folsom, and this shop was one of the few shops we actually went in to. The shop was beautifully decorated but the gorgeous Coat Dress outside was what drew us in. As we looked through the shop we noticed that each piece we saw had distinctive detailing whether a blouse , Dress, or pant. They have very unique pieces and Anita was amazing, and quite charming. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the lovely experience today. Rose M Cooke

We were attracted by the lovely red dress being showcased in the front. James, husband was very cordial and helpful. He allowed us to browse freely and showed us the clearance areas. He shared the testimony of the boutique beginnings. We could tell the buyer, Anita has impeccable taste. If you want to see a flash of New York, London, Paris and Milan in Folsom, please visit Anita Rochelle Boutique. The apparel you buy will light up the room!

Anita Rochelle Boutique and Fine Art is one of my favorite shops on Sutter Street. The shopping experience starts from the street, where there is usually an outrageously cute coat or two on display outside the store. In fact, when I recently noticed the pop-up shop at Palladio, the coats were the first thing to draw me in, just like at the home store on Sutter Street.(You can find my review for the pop-up shop by scrolling down three reviews, or by clicking here: bit.ly/3H6rq3u )The first time I stopped by Anita Rochelle Boutique & Fine Art, I'm pretty sure it was just around the corner, at 303 Riley Street, in the space which is now occupied by The Vault.Back then, the shop was called The Bag Lady. When it moved around the corner, to where it is now, it became The Bag Lady Boutique & Sutter Street Artist Gallery. As popularity continued to grow, The Bag Lady finally became Anita Rochelle Boutique and Fine Art. These days, the boutique carries designer women's fashion, plus overcoats, purses, and jewelry. The walls are plastered in local art, which is also for sale. All of the items sold here are unique, and most of them are surprisingly reasonably priced. Most days, you can find the owner herself tending to her beautifully decorated store. She's very friendly and easy to talk to, even for a shy person like me.The boutique sometimes hosts special events, such as this weekend's Trunk Show featuring a designer from New York. Special events are usually listed in advance on Facebook.Overall, this is one of the best shops on Sutter Street. I highly recommend stopping by to check it out.

Such a lovely place, I was able to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Anita Rochelle Boutique at Palladio. It was co-hosted by the Folsom Chamber. We shopped, drank, and ate! Swing by for a new wardrobe, accessories, a nice gift, or just to chat! : )-Anthonyxibarrax

Anita knows fashion. Some of my favorite tunic tops are from her boutique/gallery. She has a a nice variety of apparel, original art and home decor. Her boutique is in a great location. She has something for women of all sizes from bold lto the little black sophisticated dress. Check it out!

It's all well and good with the owner of this store, unless you have an issue with something you bought. I have called her twice, visited the store and left my name and number to advise her of a problem with a blouse I bought there. Anita will not respond, no matter how polite and patient I have been. This is very poor business practice and I am out the money I paid for my blouse - that can never be worn again. DO NOT SHOP THERE.

Anita's sense of style and sweet disposition are the cherry on top of this wonderful boutique. I was stunned to find so many options for my oh so curvy (size 16-18) figure. I walked out with jeans, a light overcoat, two tops, a fabulous sweater and a VIP card, to boot! And the best part? When you shop here you're supporting a Black Woman-Owned Small biz <3

For Christmas I wanted to buy my wife something really nice. So, fully realizing that as a man that would be beyond my ability in the area of Women's Clothing and Purses I decided to find a nice boutique to get a gift card from. I found the Anita Rochelle Boutique and I have to tell you I was not at all disappointed. I went and saw the owner and told her all about what I wanted to do and how important it was to me. I got a $300 Gift card for my wife and gave it to her for Christmas. My wife shops at places like Ross, Target, TJ Maxx and Marshalxs. It is not an issue of money, it is were she feels comfortable and figures she can find decent clothes for a women that is not a size 0 or even a "chubby" size 3. When my wife when to the store the owner immediately put the connection together and made sure my wife had an amazing time. She spent time with her to get my wife to look at different options she would not normally look into and really get out of her comfort zone. If that was not amazing enough. One of the very expensive purses my wife purchased that was hand made by a local artisan was missing a important piece and the zipper broke without it. The owner was great in taking the purse back and sending back to the artisan that made it to have the purse fully restored to the condition is should have been. It was a great experience for me and my wife. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great customer experience and quality products.
