This company is a joke, my grandfather is who 82 years old couldn't believe that they asked him for his date of birth at one of their stores when he purchased lottery tickets. He then tells me that the clerk told him if he didn't provide his date of birth, that the clerk wouldn't sell him the tickets and would get fired if the clerk went ahead and sold him the tickets without a date of birth according to their "new ID policy". That's completely ridiculous and laughable. If this company is forcing their employees to ask people clearly old enough to purchase lottery tickets asking for a date of birth, honestly for the employees, I feel bad that they have to follow such a joke of a policy. I bet they get so much ridicule for that. That drives people from not wanting to shop at your establishments, this company should be ashamed of themselves.

Absolutely braindead and paranoid corporation, requiring age and now D.o.b for buying a scratcher or alcohol as if showing an ID isn't enough to these people. This corporation deserves to be sued into oblivion.

I will not name in Detail which location I experienced this.. But strauch co is a self absorbed company. When covid 1st hit and masks were required they did not require this of customers. Employee's saftey was put at risk so sales would not have to suffer. (Also refused a meeting with the owner because I knew this would be the outcome...)
