Update: Cleanliness has gotten worse. The pools and hot tubs look as if they haven’t been cleaned since opening. The hot sauna is constantly down. The steam room smells so bad. The front door has been broken for months. The general manager responds saying he is personally handling things but I’m not really sure what that means since things continue to get worse. Rates keep going up but the money is not being put back into the facilities. This place could be so amazing with the right leadership. Sad…
The cleanliness has really gone downhill. We go in right at opening and you would think it would be on the cleaner side. Everything is dirty and makes the facilities smell bad. The locker room sinks and benches are never clean, steam room is dirty and smells of mildew, and the hot tub area I don’t think has been cleaned since they opened. The amount of people is getting out of hand due to all the new construction and it may be time to open another location.

The front desk was unfriendly when I walked in and asking some questions. It made me not want to become a member

Lifetime Fitness Folsom Basketball Court Review
Let’s talk about the Lifetime Fitness Folsom basketball court. The rest of the club? Top-notch. Fresh towels? Check. Luxurious bathroom amenities? Absolutely. But the basketball court? Well, that's where the ball gets dropped—literally and figuratively.
First off, imagine stepping onto a court that seems to have been invaded by pickleball players who must believe the floor is a rugged outdoor trail. Outdoor shoes on an indoor court? It's like bringing sand to a beach—except this beach is your jump shot's worst nightmare. And if the shoe prints weren’t enough, the kids helpfully add their touch by turning the court into a sticky minefield of gum and trash. Ah, the joys of dodging wrappers while going for a layup!
Now, if you’re lucky enough to find a basketball that isn’t the wrong size, prepare yourself for one with the grip of a greased watermelon. Dribbling becomes a game of chance, and shooting? Let’s just say you might want to invest in a hand sanitizer stock, because you’ll be palming the ball more than Kobe ever did.
The hoops, when they're not on their monthly sabbatical, present their own set of challenges. Some lean like they're trying to take a nap, others stand short but at a height that turns your jump shot into a hopeful prayer. Oh, and that one perfect evening slot you love to play in? Get ready for the sun to pull a fast one on you. Western-facing windows mean every sunset becomes your opponent, blinding you just as you line up your game-winning shot. Who designed that? Probably the same person who thought the ball selection was *adequate*.
All in all, for a gym that charges a premium, you'd think the basketball court would be in better shape. Maybe fresh basketballs, a clean court, and properly working hoops aren’t too much to ask? After all, when you’re paying a small fortune, you’d expect a court that doesn’t make you feel like you’re playing in a post-apocalyptic pickup game.

Summer camp has been the best experience for our almost 5 year old. Shout out to Maddie and all of the staff that make it so fun and welcoming for the kids while Providing the highest quality of care. So impressed with the childcare staff! We’ve been Lifetime members for about six years now, and my daughter has absolutely loved going to their childcare classes and now loves their summer camp as well! We Highly recommend!

hard done. summers are busy but this is absurd. Regularly having to stand in long lines for the bathrooms, family locker rooms (which are gross most of the time) and other basic services. Today after waiting finally getting a bathroom and locking my bathroom door it wiggled open twice after multiple people shook the door trying to find an open bathroom. Embarrassing for sure but just a symptom of a bigger problem.
I had been on the fence after multiple other things (not being able to access other clubs, losing personal training sessions I pre paid for because I didn't complete them in a certain time, loosing swim lessons when not completed in a very short introductory period fees on any credit card transaction etc) I think the reality is the shiny has worn off and now I am left feeling like I paid a lot (pushing $400 a month for a family) for very little in the end.

For a gym I pay pretty penny for, I wouldn’t expect to have been lied and deceived to. I walked in the other day and spoke to this lady who was the manager that night, looked to be from Bangladesh. She advised me that the facility was looking for trainers “desperately” and I should apply. So I send in my application, and I have two bachelors in health sciences / kinesiology, she stated they had trainers on the payroll who also don’t have actual certified statuses so that motivated me to pursue the job more. Not even ONE DAY after I submit my application was I denied for no reason at all. For being a relatively fit individual who has over 5 years of training experiences under his belt, I was surprised by that response , it would have been better if she didn’t encourage me to apply from the get go. I’m cancelling my membership here and I’ll gladly work out at a different gym whose front staff aren’t deceiving liars.

Have been a member for over three years and travel a lot. I did not have my wallet on me and tried to enter the gym I pay over $120 a month for and was denied since I didn’t have my card although they can and have looked up my account in the past via my name and phone number. I was denied the ability to workout in my own gym due to a receptionist named JC who decided he was above kindness and simply said I had no access which is not true. Customer service is half of business and this business seems to care about the facade of a nice new gym built upon cheap employees.
Even if there is a new policy stating cards must be present for entry, you must give your customers a warning or an advanced notice but lifetime was incapable.

Very Disappointing. Lifetime Fitness personal training falls short—overpriced with a strict cancellation policy, and trainers providing only basic exercises easily found on YouTube. Sessions lack stretching and are tailored to prolong your training period rather than focusing on your progress.

Training at Lifetime Fitness is not good. It's very expensive and hard to cancel if something important comes up right before. Also, the trainers think they are the best, but they only do simple exercises that you can find on YouTube for free.

I am so not a gym person, but I could live at Lifetime Fitness. It's become both a social and a fitness gathering place. The trainers are amazing. Everyone calls me by name. I'm 69 years old, so I'm in the Arora program for older folks. It's fun. I actually look forward to coming. Who knew.

5 star facilities, super professional management, and mostly friendly staff are contaminated by a bad apple rude person working upfront at the check point! Jerid is the only one that does not belong there in such a place. I would love to see this place stay uncontaminated.
