I went to Home Depot on a very busy day to purchase custom cut blinds. Mark in the flooring department went well out of his way to help me. He did an excellent job and prevented me from accidentally purchasing blinds that wouldn't have fit in our window space. Before him Mary and Cliff (prior employees) had also gone above and beyond to help me. Mark is a true asset to the store ensuring customers like me return again and again!

Oh my gosh. This company is a mess. We bought carpet from HD. On the evening we went to HD there were no carpet people available to help us. A young man did the best he could but had no training selling carpet. (Kudos to him as he tried hard to help us). We were able to pay for it online. Then we got a call from somebody with a very heavy accent. Eventually my husband got hung up on. Agent said she couldn't hear him. She did call back though. When will the carpet be delivered? At HD's convenience. Not ours. An email will be sent for us to call and schedule. What the H? We have a schedule too. Does HD care about that? There are either too many or too few chefs in kitchen at HD. HD, please listen. When making a big purchases it is preferable to work face to face with a live person. Choose the carpet, sit down, pay and order, schedule a delivery and provide a detailed receipt. The customer leaves happy. This isn't rocket science. Stop all of this online and phone calls. Completely unnecessary. And we, the customers, are NOT happy.

This store is great at providing product but this review is for the lack of lighting in the parking lot. It is pitch black from 7 pm until the store closes. It is not safe for women, customers or drivers as no one can be seen. I would hate for someone to get mugged, hit or trip due to lack of lighting in the parking lot. There are lights in the lot but not one was on. Why? There's no excuse for not making sure your customers and workers are safe on the premises. It's brighter at Chik Filet.

I just tried to just pick up an order. Only one person at the customer service are working. 2 others just talking. I waited for 20 minutes then just gave up. I cancel my order and order it with someone else.

Wanted my kitchen remodeled, new countertops and cabinets. Kitchen designer came up with great plan, although it took about 4-5 weeks to get the quote. once I agreed to move forward, I was told I had to pay in full up front (50k). was told they'd place the order and would be 8-10 wks for everything to arrive and then the install would be scheduled. THAT WAS 4 MONTHS AGO. no one contacted me to give me updates. when I contacted them I was told everything was on schedule. that was 1 and 2 months ago ( called them a number of times). my last call into them this week resulted in a callback where I was told they had a "system glitch" and the order never went through! had they looked into my order they would have seen a problem, instead they just gave me lip service. I signed the contract in early July and now it's mid-October. They have my 50k and I have nothing to show for it. At this point I want a full refund, but they are hemming and hawing about it!

Under Normal Circumstances, Home Depot on E. Bidwell is usually my go-to place as they have most of the items I need with spectacular help from their employees, I've been coming here for years, as I'm a Folsom local for more than 20 years, However today, Sunday the 3rd, was unfortunatly a different experience, I know most people who read reviews want us to keep it short and to the point so that's what ill do for the miserable experience I had today..... At around 2:00PM, I walked in with 3 things on my mind, light bulbs, and interest in re-doing my fence, after collecting the bulbs I needed I headed over to the paint section where I encountered "Paul", a supposed ASSISTANT MANAGER for the store. Even before I said a word to this individual, he looked like he was already in a bad mood, which is understandable, everyone has their days including myself, but he took it to the next level today, I asked him and another employee standing next to him if they knew where I could find some Paint for a project I wanted to take on with my home fence, he and the employee who was (just an accessory at this point which I won't really mind about) handed me this brochure and told me I could basically go and help myself find what I needed. * For Context* .....Ive never handled paint or bought any type of paint before in my life so im pretty new to all of it, hence why I asked if they could possibly show me where and what I could purchase. I then responded, "Is this the best that you could help me with today?" Paul, a so-called "Assistant Manager" completely EXPLODES, and when I say explode, I mean he basically loses it and accuses me of being "Disrespectful" when all I did was basically ask if he could help me further since im new with this stuff. He then goes on to cause a scene in front of all the customers by getting in my face (and I mean HAND DISTANCE from me) and telling me that "I Need to Leave as his quote....SEEN ME before". Now for more context im Hispanic appearing, so in my mind, as I was completely dumbfounded at what was transpiring in front of me, I immediately think that he got the wrong person as I'm a Regular Shopper at this specific location and have a pretty good rapport with most employees there including one of my good friends Jerry (Amazing guy by the way!) Paul then takes my shopping cart, which I spent about 20 minutes filling up with certain light bulbs and other misc items, and yanks it out of my grip as he continues to yell that "I need to leave the store now" and has my cart relocated ( and probably re-shelved). Paul continued to be passively aggressive with his stance intruding my bubble, and when I told him to not touch me, he showed his arms at his waist and said" im not touching you" when his whole body is literally in my close view basically cloth on cloth.....! At this point the actual Manager, Matt was called, which I appreciate, he took me outside and we had a cordial conversation, explaining what happened, he told me he wasnt present at the time of the altercation so he cant comment but eventually, let me return to my shopping whilst simultaneously helping me with my initial paint issue, and towards the end of my encounter with met I told him that I appreciate his help and I feel like this is how any employee should be, ESPECIALLY a "Asst Manager". It was obvious something was wrong with Paul in his life aside from work, but employees SHOULD NEVER bring their anger to work, and NEVER bring it to a Regular Customers face, which he did today in full..... As I was wrapping up my conversation with Matt ( A respectful, helpful, and friendly individual), I asked him if Paul was still around, as I wanted to ask him why he thought I was someone he knew ( who im assuming caused issues there before) because if you ask any other employee there and they see me, I can almost gaurentee you they will have nothing but positive things to say about me, but Matt informed me that he was on lunch, which was odd since it

I was at Home Depot today and wanted to pay cash for my one item. All I saw were self checks that said, "credit card only." I finally saw an employee and asked where I could pay cash. She pointed to one register and I had no clue how to use it. I asked her for help. She pushed some buttons and told me to feed in my dollar bills. Some of them were rejected and she sighed and told me that the machine wouldn't take wrinkled bills. Finally I got my item paid for and left. I won't be shopping at Home Depot any more. Human clerks are needed. I'll pay a bit more and go to the local hardware store that has NO self checks, but friendly, smiling clerks. Automation has nothing to do with customer service, just making more money for owners and putting more people out of wor.

I recently purchased a mini fridge from Home Depot Folsom. I asked for help loading it into my car because I had recently had a medical procedure and was not supposed to lift heavy objects. The employee who helped me was absolutely horrible. He walked out with the fridge and left it out at the store entrance, and then walked away from me. I had to roll it out and load it into my car by myself. When I was done, he came back and said, "See, it's not that heavy. You can do it." His attitude was utterly ridiculous. I was very disappointed with the customer service I received from this employee. I understand that he may have been busy, but there is no excuse for his behavior. He was completely unhelpful and his attitude was very unprofessional. I would not recommend Home Depot Folsom to anyone, especially if you need help loading or unloading heavy items.

I walked into the El Dorado Hills Home Depot because I was working on a project involving tile. I was introduced to Frank in floor/tile department. He had a great sense of humor and an expert in flooring. I also was assisted by Angelique who checked me out at the register she was also very friendly and customer service driven. It's was actually nice to go to Home Depot and not feel lost in a maze but was met with friendly and helpful staff.

Rented a truck to pick up a ping pong table from the rental side of Home Depot. Fred was behind the counter. He was efficient, friendly and super funny. I left with a big ole smile on my face. The return was super easy and once again I was entertained by Fred. It was a good eye opener that they have SO much tools and other things to rent. A true do it yourself paradise. There's been other occasions where I've stopped in to purchase plants and my husbands list of stuff to complete his projects around the home. I can honestly say if you need something for your home this is the place to go. Plenty of parking, clean store and friendly employees.

while the purchase went well I knew I was in trouble when their customer service told me to call back in the morning after I explained the delivery driver brought too large a truck. while speaking with customer service I could tell the problem wasn't going to be resolved so I asked for store manager. HD rents out trucks that could make it up my driveway but they stuck with the delivery company week later date. Since my knee isn't working going up/ down stairs for another week to use garage refrig wasn't in cards. I went to Lowe's down the street and wish I would have gone there first. 2 days and new refrig is in.....with Great delivery people.

Funny story. Sharon refused to give me a refund for a piece of ducting I purchased because I only had pictures of my receipts. Manager Paul supposedly backed her up on this even though I've used pictures of my receipts many times before for returns. She said there's too much fraud so I needed to have the physical receipt. For context, I probably have more than 600 receipts from this store so I don't make a habit of carrying them around with me. I take a picture and give them to my bookkeeper. That includes returns of course. Much easier system for me and the people at Home Depot have never had a problem scanning the barcode of the receipt off my phone. It's basically standard procedure for decades now. So Sharon said she can't give me a refund and asked me to step aside so other customers can get service. I said wait a minute, what about giving me a refund without a receipt, can you do that? She said yes of course! And immediately gave me a refund without a receipt. Seems completely stupid to me but next time I'll make sure to avoid her and use any other return person as there are usually 2 or 3 people working in returns.

I need to book a measure for closet doors but no one from Home Depot will call me back. I filled out an online request. a week ago. I started calling the 800 number yesterday and after choosing the right prompts it takes me to a survey and then ends the call. This happened 3 times. This morning I tried again and still can't get to a person. I could go in store but my experience there is you sit at the back desk and wait endlessly. There is probably a 50/50 chance of getting help. I go with Home Depot because I assume they will be cheapest, but their service is so bad and is not improving. I feel like I have to beg them to sell me something. I want to buy the closet doors, Im ready and willing to pay, but there is no one available to help me. How this place stays in business I will never know.

I placed an order online for 50 bags of black mulch not realizing that was quite a bit, to pick up at one time as well as my vehicle I was driving could only a accommodate 20 at a time. When I called the following day, I spoke to Tanya from customer Service. It was so refreshing how Tanya was understanding patient and willing to solve my concern. Because I wasn't able to pick up all 50 bags at one time. She extended my helpful pick-up date. Thank you caring Tanya...
