When I arrived the shower had hairs in it and was otherwise dirty , the shower did not drain because some loser had put toilet paper down it and clogged it up . The bed was dirty . The breakfast is all cheap crap food that is poor quality . It is located right near a major highway . I had a 2 star experience here .

The room was spacious, and the queen beds were great size for my son and I. The beds were soft, and the pillows were comfortable to rest our weary heads after a long day at my son's volleyball tournament. My only complaint is that the carpet is loose, and it appears that they are held down with weak magnets. I could see a guest tripping on the loose carpet and falling or banging their legs on the furniture in the room. On a positive note, our stay included morning breakfast, which was slightly different each morning. Overall, the Hampton hotel was a good price and value for what we received.

In spite of remodeling going on - and it is at a distance from rooms being occupied and there was no noise - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as usual at Hampton Inns. All was impeccably clean and organized. Always lovely bedding.
Nearby activities: Just about anything you may want is available nearby. Mendocino Foods is adjacent and has a large selection of food, including healthy options.

We have stayed at this hotel before, but it is much improved over our last experience. Even though they are still renovating, the hotel is quiet, rooms are very nice (I especially like the fact that the air conditioning units are not the typical window style AC units with air blowing all night long), The room was a double queen suite with a lot of floor space and the hotel is pet-friendly, but you would never be able to tell based on the cleanliness of the rooms. The exterior of the hotel is clean as is the parking lot. Breakfast was good and had the usual breakfast items we have come to expect at a Hampton Inn. The Staff were nice, easy to deal with and efficient, made check-in very quick and easy. The location is very good, a couple of restaurants in the same parking lot, the Palladio is right across the street making shopping and dining very accessible. We will stay here again.

I like Hampton Inn. I'm a Gold member but this definitely wasn't a Gold experience at all. I don't like the new policy for every once in a while room cleaning. That was pandemic stuff and now I expect a clean room and daily trash pickup. If I don't want cleaning I can always leave the Do Not Disturb sign out.
My first night there the fire alarm went off and there was a strong chemical smell throughout the hotel. 5 fire engines and 2 1/2 hours later we were told the hotel was safe to re-enter but no explanation why we stood around outside for such a long time.
The next morning I was crossing the brick pavers under the Porte Corchere heading to my car and suddenly found myself face first on the ground. Turns out there's a major depression in the pavers and obviously there's a trip and fall hazard. The front desk staff came running out, saw that I was apparently okay, moved the smoking post over to the middle of the hole and said she would put in a work order to have that fixed that day. Three days later I saw someone else trip in the same location and the hole hadn't been repaired.
The water closet smells like urine, no matter what I tried to do to air it out. My last night there were 3 dogs in the room above me - two little yappy dogs and one very large sounding dog , all running back and forth and barking nonstop from 7 pm to 1 am. You can't hear them in the hallway on my floor but I definitely heard them in my room. Going up one floor you could hear them standing outside their room. The TV remote didn't work. One plus, the use of the laundry room washers and dryers was free. You might have to purchase soap from the front desk but no quarters needed!
I'm not sure I want to stay at this Hampton Inn again.

Review based on our eight night stay this trip. Staff were courteous and friendly. Room was newly updated and spacious. Morning breakfast option have improved in quality. I am a gold member. But, Newer hotel policy of not providing full daily service cleaning for the (upgraded) room is problematic for us. Even though we requested full daily service, we needed to call down most nights for fresh towels and trash removal. We also experienced dog barking from several rooms during our stay. Not sure the reason for so many pets allowed on the same floor. These issues may not be an problem for some on just an overnight stop. With other lodging options at this price point, we will consider alternate accommodation on our next visit of more than an overnight.

In desperate need of updating. Wallpaper coming off the wall, carpet seams coming undone, dated furniture and decor. Service was alright. Stayed a long while. Free laundry is a good deal. They are remodeling, so maybe give it some time before staying, but not up to Hilton standards at all.
Rooms: Very old and dated. Falling apart.
Walkability: Not very walkable. A handful of shops are walkable, but sidewalks are lacking in some places.

It is not as good as the first time we stayed here 6 years ago. It feels run down already. Drain in shower did not work well. When you showered you were standing in water. It was very cool which felt great in this awful heat. We only stayed here because we had to evacuate our home due to the Pay Fire in Placerville.

Hampton inn had a room for us last minute and we had a cat as well. They were kind, efficient, and quick to get us situated. On our way out my little toddler got to say to roughly 45 (I stopped counting at 40) firefighters from the Oroville fire. I love that this hotel is able to take them in while they are on the front line. ❤️

We stayed one night as a stop between Yosemite and the coast. It was okay. Carpet was torn and so was the office chair. View was non-existent. Breakfast was decent.

I generally love Hampton Suites but this one changes that. I had a clogged toilet and reported it to the desk. The male from the desk went to get a plunger and when he came to my room instead of fixing he problem he handed me the plunger and expected me to do it. This might be ok at a Motel 6 but not for a Hilton property.
Very disappointed.
