After the most horrific car accident of my life...im thankful to just be alive. Buying a new car was not on the agenda for the end of the year, but it had to be done. After the hassle of getting the insurance money from the person at fault, it took serveral weekends and quadruple dealerships to finally find the right car. (EUREKA!!!)Losing the paid off low mileage Kia Sorento, it was a no brainer that we wanted the same but on a hybid level. (Full electic was way out of the budget) One of the salesman at Folsom Kia was very friendly and kind, gave a little of his family background before we got down to the nitty gritty.Huge parking lot..Good selection of carsNice office facilities

They've had my car for a month, and the manufacturer can't get them to return calls. I'm giving 3 stars for now, since I don't know the outcome yet. I'd like to see any of them go without their car for a month!

Eric Watkins and RC helped make leasing a new car an incredibly smooth process. I live 6 hours away in Eureka and when I got there I was in and out in less than an hour! Well worth the trip! I love my new Kia Seltos, thanks guys!!Ohh, the turkeys roaming around make the experience all the more fun ☺️

The folks at Folsom Lake KIA made the car buying process easy. They took they time to go over features of the vehicles and options for financing. We got a great new KIA.

I have had the best possible experience with the car dealer Eric Watkins. Trust is a word that is rarely associated with Car dealers, but Eric is just not any Car dealer. His slogan is " I want to be your dealer for life " and I can say with certainty that he will be the person who I will return to.I leased a Kia Niro in 2020, with the expectation that the process would be stressful, fraught with trickery and dishonesty as I had never purchased or leased a new car before. But Eric went the distance with me to deliver the best deal that met my needs and my price point. I returned this November and Eric delivered as promised. He worked extra late to insure all details were completed and I left a happy customer. I HIGHLY recommend Eric as your dealer of choice.

All the cars a bought from this dealer,I am very disappointed the way my daughter was screwed on the the optima I turned back in and she bought,if I would have know the transmission would only last less 60,000 mile I would have stopped her from buying it. I thought kia stood behind their cars ,but I guess not.

I recently had my car serviced at Folsom Kia, and unfortunately, my experience was marked by a series of communication and service issues. Initially, I faced difficulty in getting in touch with my service representative Rudy for questions and arranging a rental car for my family while my car was being repaired. Despite leaving texts, emails, and voicemails, there was no response. It took escalating the matter to Rudy's manager to finally secure a rental car. After a week or two of waiting, I received my car back, only to discover a major issue. I had driven it less than 20 miles when the engine began leaking oil do to an improperly installed turbo. I promptly returned my car for further repairs.Once again, I faced challenges reaching the service department to extend my rental car arrangement. Calls and messages went unanswered. The rental car company advised me to retain the vehicle and assured me they would initiate an extension request. A week later, my car was repaired and returned, but the communication issues persisted with the rental company calling me and telling me they can't get ahold of Rudy to finalize the rental car extension. The lack of communication throughout this process has been extremely concerning. I received updates only when the vehicle was declared as "finished," with no other information regarding the rental car, the status of my car, or any other relevant updates. I do not suggest doing any services through Folsom kia's service Department. They seem to be extremely understaffed and not available to help current customers with issues or updates. Take your vehicle to a different Kia if you don't want to deal with a headache.

Both Andy A. and Jon P. were amazing to work with. Relationship matters as does attention to detail. We experienced both with these two gentlemen, and the deal was consummated without any hiccups.

Bought a car from here before, process was simple and easy. I didn't like that they only offer to give you rubber floor mats AFTER you leave them a review. It doesn't seem like an honest way to do business....came back here a couple years later for service and to inquire into trading-in, the sales guy spoke with me for a few minutes and then left to deal with another customer, said he would return but never did. These experiences combined, I wouldn't return to buy a car from here. Service does a great job, though.

I just had a wonderful experience buying my new KIA at Folsom Lake KIA. Everyone was professional and friendly. They all really cared that I purchased the vehicle I wanted. The process was very smooth. They were very knowledgeable about their cars.

I've been going here since 2015, the service is on a whole different level. As they procure not just the purchase of an outstanding vehicle, the experience throughout your ownership is taken care of as you drive down the road. Think about this, in every aspect of ownership. Would you want to buy something, that was left up to you to maintain, or would you want a service and dealership that always walks side by side with you, not just in the purchase but throughout your ownership. Folsom Lake Kia has taken good care of my vehicles, yes I said it, 2 vehicles. It's not just about ownership, but the experience of ownership, and KIA understands this. Through turbulent challenges on the road, to the open scenic cruise, KIA has had my back.

Incredibly bad service today 9/29/23.I came in today around 5 with 100% intention of leaving in a new telluride. It was more about deciding which one, but my plan was to purchase my new kia that day. Likewise, my wife was on her way from work in Sacramento as she was interested in either a seltos/sportage. We both were completely ready to leave kia today with at one FOR SURE and possible two brand new vehicles. I walked into the lobby, one person walked by me and said nothing. He was helping an older gentleman but he looked directly at me and didn't acknowledge my presence...granted, he was helping someone else, but still a bit rude to not even say "ill be right with you" or something like that, instead of looking right at me, giving 0 acknowledgement, then turning his back and walking off out of the building... However, as i stood alone in the showroom, i heard one or two people in the back, i said "hello" twice (it's still possible they didn't hear me, but the area they were in isnt big and even so that was twice id been ignored). I continued to stand in the showroom for 10-15 minutes more in silence with nobody around...during this time another employee walked in looked directly at me and walked right past and out the other door (he didnt seem to be a salesman, but still, it was like i was invisible...). Ok, so I then went onto the actual car lot and started trying to open car doors and looking in them trying to get someone to acknowledge me....nothing...in the 20-25 minutes i was there, the dealership was NOT busy. I was the only customer that i saw besides the older gentleman i saw when i first walked in. I encountered or tried to get the attention of 3 to 4 different people plus wandered the car lot by myself looking inside vehicles, and not one word was spoken to me there....literally not one. I went to Nissan cause i currently own an altima and was helped immediately and test drove the Pathfinder in less time than it took for me to encounter 4 people at kia only to be treated like a ghost. I do my due diligence when buying cars, so I wasn't as knowledgeable about the Nissan or I would have bought it on the spot. We're going back tomorrow to test drive a couple of their rogues with my wife. We expected to own two new kias by Monday, but my guess is that well be now be the owners of two new Nissans Our family was ready to drop nearly 100k at Kia today and have completely lost interest. Customer service matters. Nissan impressed me and treated me like a human being and valued my business. We are a family that loves replacing our cars regularly and I Won't even bother with this kia dealership again.

After reading the reviews for their service I was skeptical to take my car here. I had some routine maintenance I needed taken care of (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) so decided to just go as it was the near with the soonest availability. I was pleasantly surprised by my appointment advisor Matt K.! He was amazingly kind and made the process very quick and easy. The price wasn't terrible, expected them to overcharge for oil as most places do but it was only $10 more than if I had done it myself. Saves me the labor and time. Matt also gave me the exact cost estimate and exact time estimation (1.5 hours), so there was no surprises. Now for the downsides, the "complimentary wash" and waste disposal. I never expect a free wash to be good, but it was sad how they decently hosed down the sides and the front was still caked in dirt. And the final corner cut was the "hazardous waste engine oil and filter + drain plug gasket" fee. It totaled $6, which any O'Reilly or Autozone will take for FREE. I'd recommend working with Matt K. as your advisor if you can, very kind, honest and punctual!

We went in looking for a Hybrid vehicle with out knowing exactly what we wanted. We ended up at Folsom Lake Kia and was pleasantly surprised. Conner was very knowledgeable about the Hybrid models they had in stock. We left with the perfect car for us. A well equipped Kia Sorento Plug in Hybrid. This car has everything we wanted and more! It was exactly what we were looking for!

There are plenty of Kia dealerships in the area, anyone reading this should find any other one. In their response to my complaint with the Better Business Bureau about the issue outlined in my initial review, Folsom Lake Kia admits in writing in a public forum that they won't be looking further into what happened in my dealings with them. They also write "I have (sic) and never will reimburse for delays on lease buyouts as it's a courtesy transaction." First, I have no idea what a 'courtesy transaction' is. I paid for a car in full, so I am unable to see how the fact that I leased it before makes any difference. More importantly, per California Vehicle Code 5753, a car dealership has 15 days to deliver a title to a consumer following a paid in full purchase of a car. The compensation due to the purchaser is $25 per day after the first 15 days. Thanks to their initial careless error, compounded by dishonesty and misdirection about the status of my title, it took 105 days to receive my title. They have simply ignored my inquiries about the $25 per day that I am entitled to during the delay. In my first review, I stated I would not expect transparency, honestly, or accountability in your dealings with this company. Apparently you can add that I wouldn't expect them to abide by the California vehicle code, either. Find any other Kia dealer - literally anyone deserves better.
