I live in Roseville and I will ALWAYS go to Folsom to go to this ER. I have been to sutter where there is zero parking, I am ignored and wait forever crammed with people. MERCY HOSPITAL always treats me so kindly. From the check in, to vitals, to triage. Today I saw Alyssa and she listened to me and made me feel calm about ear and head pain. They had a room for me and got me what I needed and communicated very well with me. I forgot the male nurses name but he was so nice to me. I love that you can park right up in the front and it's a comfortable lobby to sit in with charging cables available. Thank you guys for what you do!

Rethink going here for any treatment! RNs were nice as well as other staff but the ER Dr was beyond rude and refused the treatment I had orders for and was specifically told to go there and receive. What happened to "first do no harm"?

I walked into this place in extreme pain in my arm, of course they thought I was over exaggerating the pain. Waited for about 3 hours for a CT scan which lead to discovery of a lump in my arm. They sent me home with no help with pain and a referral for a surgeon that wasn't available for about four months. Talk about a slap in the face and a complete waste of time. I ended up having to start the entire process over with Sutter Health and they were able to find me a surgeon right away. When I called to get a copy of my image the person that answered the phone said they were busy and hung up on me. I had to go down there in crazy pain to request my images. I've never been treated this poorly by a medical establishment in my entire life and I will go out of my way to make sure that they never get business from anyone in my family ever again. They literally have no mercy and their connection to the church is BS. What a f*****g joke! Update: Go f**k yourself "Mark" !

Go to sutter. Or uc Davis. Do not recommend this shitty hospital. They do not care about their patients. They let you just lay there in pain. My friends fiance was treated as if She was just there to get High. When in fact she had a broken back! The front desk wouldn't let him go back to see his future wife. They told him he'd have to wait. 4 hours later they finally let him back. To tell him there's nothing wrong and his fiancée was a junkie. Don't go to this hospital at all costs.

My 86 year old mother was admitted to this hospital and was diagnosed with a UTI. In addition, the next morning, we were told she tested positive for fentnyl. She was reported to the drug registry. We spent two days of total chaos and panic trying to find out how she might have ingested it....medicines or what? We were told there had been other cases of seniors that had tested positive as well. We insisted on a second test and it came back negative. The social worker called the Dept of Health and they said they had no other known cases reported (how could this be). Finally we were told that she was removed from the drug registry as staff could clearly see that she was not a drug addict (we can only hope that is true) and at discharge, we were finally told that they believed this was an issue in the lab and there was no need to continue the "investigation". If we had not insisted on the second test we would still be terrified that it was in her meds. Frankly, we don't know what to believe. After going home, within 12 hours, she had to go to the ER with what they say was a TIA. She was put into a room in the emergecy room and told she would most likely be staying there for the night. Those ER beds are not meant for overnight use. She was miserable. She was starving and at 9pm (after 3 requests for something) they finally brought her a dinner and said they were sorry but it was cold. Oh and the "incharge floor nurse" was totally rude when we arrived in the emergency room. She refused to allow anyone to stay with mom who was pretty upset by what was happening. She was in a bed in the hall and she said I had to leave until she got put in a room. Rules are rules but sometimes they need to evaluated based on the situation. Nor did it require such attitude. Addressed with some level of compassion may have totally changed to experience. They are totally overloaded and apparently not staffed for the load. There were employees milling around but would not do anything to help. Assume it was because her bed was not assigned to them. Who knows why. And while she was in a room on her first visit the nurses spent all their time sitting in front of a computer instead of in front of their patients. She rarely needed them for anything but when she did they never came and we had to go look for them. Oh, and a few smiles would go along way! The nurses did not seem to enjoy what they do. Adds to the stress of what is already an unpleasant situation

if i could give this establishment 0 stars, i would. this is the most unempathic and uncaring hospital i have ever been to. my friend and i have been waiting for almost 5 hours now, we're here because her doctors told her to go to the er, we let them know she needed an IV, they have taken an EKG, copious amounts of blood, and might have to take more because she's "been here for so long." there is a man who has been here longer than us, has not been called on, has asked for help numerous times asking politely for a diaper change, and they just excuse him, hes paralyzed, disabled, and he's violently SHAKING in a wheelchair and not one doctor has noticed. all they keep doing is moving him farther and farther away from everyone. there was another woman in here that was having horrible troubles with her back, she was moaning in pain, saying she had been there for 8 hours and not one person had seen her. when she had asked to be discharged that's when they finally decided to bring her back. multiple staff have been extremely rude to me and my friends boyfriend, i was physically pushed by one of the doctors because i was standing in the walkway, not in the way, but in the walk way with my friend who was being asked questions. she did not say excuse me nor did she apologize for shoving me out of the way, she also excessively rolled her eyes when my friend was trying not to FAINT while getting her blood drawn. the physician that drew my friends blood was extremely dismissive to her, did not give a countdown and just shoved the needle in her arm, she told him that she has history of fainting, especially while getting her blood drawn, and he told her to just breathe it was fine. she politely asked for a ice pack because she was ABOUT TO FAINT, and he said no. i had to leave the room to ask a completely different doctor in order to get her one. this place is disgusting and i feel so sorry for ANYONE that comes here expecting to be treated with decency.

My mom went to the emergency. The one RN Jennifer was judgmental and condescending. I overheard two other RNs gossiping and backbiting about a third employee. My mom was admitted to the hospital. I would receive conflicting information as to the seriousness of my mom's condition. Then the following day I find out second hand that my mom is going to be released. So I called the hospital and again get conflicting reports. One nurse says yes she will be released, another nurse says she will not get released. One of the RNs was very rude. I asked to speak to the doctor and left several messages, but haven't heard back. I never got a callback.

Awful hospital, both Folsom and San Juan. They misdiagnosed my wife who went unresponsive, and had to be sent over to the main hospital. She was diagnosed with brain cancer, and the surgeon who was supposed to do a biopsy and resection, was unable to do much other than get a minimal sample. We went elsewhere for treatment, and were set back many weeks which allowed the tumor to increase in size. We had not choice on where the E/R took her initially...this would not have been my first choice and would have demanded going to a real hospital if I had seen other reviews which mirror mine.

My friend went for mental health treatment and stomach pain from a misplaced IUD then was told she had endometriosis and that “anxiety’s happen in life” by a nurse and listened to other nurses around her put down other patients in front of her, going in for mental health treatment is extremely difficult and this could have been the last straw for someone please train your staff to be better.

My 18-year-old daughter has been placed on a mental health hold twice in the past year. Although she gets pretty good care from the staff at the hospital, the hospital is terrible in keeping the family notified when she gets moved. Both times, my daughter requested my wife and I get notified when she was moved. My daughter signed paperwork to share her medical information with us. Both times, nothing. The hospital moved her to a psych hospital and we were never notified when and where she was moved. Both times, I arrived at Mercy and was told they couldn't give me any information. What's the point in my daughter signing release forms if they aren't going to share the information. Terrible customer service.

This used to be my go-to emergency room for any emergencies I ever had. However, tonight I received the worst care I have ever received from an emergency room and that’s saying a lot, because I’ve unfortunately had to spend a great deal of time in the hospital with all sorts of awful health problems.I’m in immense pain, have been crying all night, distraught and torn, because I hate going to the hospital and try so hard to fight through my pain, but my family insisted I go because the pain was clearly too intense for me to be handling. The instant I spoke to the PA on shift, she treated me like a druggie who was here for narcotics, telling me how she knows I want to take pain meds “all the time” and how I will just have to go through the long process of receiving care from my primary doctor to get referrals before I ever get help; basically telling me to just deal with the pain, dismissing the fact that I’m suffering and can’t move without being shocked with a wave of crippling pain, and treating me as if I am hooked on narcotics.I explained to her that I actually don’t have a problem with narcotics, I actively stray from any pain meds, even Tylenol if possible, and that I’m breast feeding so I’ve put off any kind of pain med that has been suggested because I was trying to just push through it, but hit a breaking point tonight and my pain level has hit an all time high and I can no longer take it. She just said the same thing and acted as though she did not hear a word I said. They gave me an anti-inflammatory and one pain pill, along with my discharge papers and told me I was good to go. No testing was done, no real exam, nothing. This ER visit took all of 20 minutes and though normally that would be an amazing thing, it was due to a lack of care from the PA, which is truly disappointing.Absolutely not professional and definitely not caring. I’m frustrated, in pain, and plan on filing a formal complaint, because this kind of treatment of people genuinely suffering is not okay.

I personally had a really great experience at this hospital during my pregnancy + delivery. When I was in my first trimester I was having severe morning sickness and was throwing up blood, I came into the ER early in the morning and was immediately rushed to L&D where I was taken great care of. I never had any issues with any of the staff as other reviews mentioned... I delivered in May 2023 and from the moment I walked into L&D I was treated amazing by all the nurses and doctors and staff I came into contact with. I loved my nurses unfortunately I don't remember their names 3 months later They were very kind and helpful and sent me home with a big bag of postpartum care items. I have never had a bad experience at this hospital and I have been here close to 5 times during my pregnancy.
