I joined at the end of 2019 after not having a gym membership since Covid hit the country in 2020. I just wanted to ease back into a gym routine (I do other outdoor activities like skiing and cycling) a couple of times a week and didn't necessarily want to pay a lot. My prior gyms were those that were the largest and best in town (Lifetime and Cal Fit). I joined Crunch as the price was right and it has the minimum of what I need (but certainly no more).I'm able to go to the gym during the day, thereby avoiding the weeknight crowds typically seen in gyms from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Unfortunately this gym is pretty small, so even though I go during off-peak hours, there are sections of the gym that are always in use and you need to wait your turn or work in with others. One time I actually had another member refuse to allow me to work in because he "only" had two more sets. Approximately half the floor space here is devoted to cardio (which I do outdoors, not at the gym), but when I'm there, fewer than 10 percent of those machines are in use, while the weight section of the gym is heavily populated. They have some machines there which require you to take the weights on and off, although they also have those where you simply move a pin or flick a lever to change the resistance. The machines that require you to move the weights are actually very good, but those too are frequently in use. The main problem here is that virtually none of the gym members bother to re-rack their weights and the gym staff does nothing to enforce this. You can look around this area of the gym at any given time and see that 90% of those machines still have stacks of 45 pound weights on them from the prior user. Part of the reason here may be due to the fact that the gym does not have a central weight rack (or tree) for people to return their weights to. Each machine has some limited room to rack the weights, but it's insufficient for the amount of weights in the gym.Compared with the larger gyms I mentioned earlier, there is a lot less choice for equipment. For example, there is only one ab machine (and none for working your obliques). There is only one incline and one decline press (the kind where you have to take the weights on and off). But if you have a limited budget, this gym is still a bargain. You can still get a good workout here if you are prepared to wait for some stations to open up, particularly in the free weight area. After my membership expires, however, I'll be going back to Cal Fit where there is much more floor space and many more choices.

This is a decent size gym with decent and clean equipment. The only complaint I have is the personal trainers. They are very rude to others when they are training someone or just walking around. They walk so close to you when you are working out, step on or right by your things, and have no reguard for someone working out. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve almost hit the blonde small trainer with a weight, bar, or band by accident because she’s so close to me or waking right in front of me in the middle of my set. I don’t know if they are trained to put the needs of their trainees in front of others trying to use the space too but it sure seems like it. Other than that it’s a great gym.

Crunch fitness is a scam and they screw over young kids. Please go elsewhere. Elaine Rockhill is a nasty person and overtalked me the whole conversation of how they screwed over my granddaughter as she was forced to move cross country over a death in family and she cancelled ther membership. But they told her she had to go in person only to cancel it. Now 5 months later she says she would take an email but is responsible from June till now. Nice way to screw over a minor child. Now she is sending it to collections. Unbelievably nasty on the phone and talks with a forked tongue.

Ask for dharmani. Awesome guy, he's one of the trainers and he took the time to help me out with an issue I was having without hesitation. I wasn't even a client. And the exercise he suggested instantly caused something that was out of whack to click back in place. It's great when people help people.

Took a HIIT class with Andy and he was an excellent instructor. Best class I’ve taken there yet. He was fun, attentive, had great music, engaged and made sure we had proper form. Thanks, Andy!!

My son trains with Darmani here and I cannot tell you how much fun he is having while training with him. He is a great influence on my teenage son and my son’s motivation to stay healthy has continued to grow everyday. He looks forward to his workout everyday with him. Recommend Darmani and Folsom Crunch fitness to anyone in a heartbeat.

Will be fair and give 3 stars because it is an inexpensive gym but still pricier than the place across the street which has all the machines I need and in better quality. This place definitely looks like a warehouse in comparison, similar to 24 Hr but with less space and is busier. Gender ratio skews significantly male and the crowd is a lot younger than the other gyms I've visited.

Best gym in Folsom. I went to 24 Hour Fitness for years but I've been going to this Crunch location for 2 years now and have canceled my 24 membership. This Crunch location is new, clean, and the management is great. I've seen the manager Janna clean small pieces of trash off the ground herself, something I could never see the manager of Folsom 24 doing. The management at 24 just doesn't care, things remain broken for several months at a time. At Crunch they fix things immediately, they actually care.

Crunch Fitness - Folsom is the BEST! I have been working out at this gym for two years now. Every visit starts with a warm welcome upon entering. Janna and team are upbeat and friendly and the place is clean. Their group fitness classes are fun and I also highly recommend their personal trainers. Ask for Fatima, who is wonderful to work with, to get started on your goals today!

These past couple years I had the pleasure of visiting Crunch and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the facilities and services offered. The gym is well-maintained and has a welcoming atmosphere that makes me feel comfortable and motivated to work out thanks to Brandon and Brianna always doing a great job.

I highly recommend the classes with Guide at the Folsom Crunch Fitness! She is an amazing instructor who has changed my life. I decided to try her yoga class 6 months ago and have since felt much better physically and emotionally. I also do her other classes because she keeps me motivated and is a kind person. Thank you Guide for inspiring me to be better!

Starting to go to the gym was the best decision I could have made. And choosing Crunch in Folsom was the second best decision. The gym has enough equipment and machines, so you can exercise there even at the busiest times. And as for the Crunch team, they are the nicest people I've ever met. I laugh heartily with them every time I have my personal training, and whenever I need advice on something, they are there for me.But the biggest shout-out goes to Fatima, because she can push me further then I thought it’s possible and she always has a smile on her face.I recommend this gym 10/10.

I recently joined Crunch Fitness in Folsom and I have to say this is the best gym in the area. The facility is clean, has plenty of machines, and classes, and best of all the entire staff of trainers is awesome! I have worked with trainers, Fatima and Darmani - they make working out fun, and easy, and I have already noticed a huge change.

What a great gym as a first time user! Clean, welcoming, great equipment and helpful employees. We found Mirissa Z to be friendly and always ready to lend a hand or answer questions. What a great team member for helping those of us who are new in the “gym world”. Look around for her because you will know her by her smile and friendly attitude.
