Bank of the West was my bank from 1994 until last fall when BMO purchased them. Service fees for various services have increased significantly, they no longer support the common financial software companies like Quicken and many ATMs that used to be fee-free aren’t any longer. Phone calls to service centers are not something one wants to try.
This afternoon, I found the service at those branches now resembles the other experiences I’ve seen since the ownership change. I think it is time to end the relationship after thirty-years.

Told me I should be able to do a large cash withdrawal if I schedule it... drove 2hr round trip only to be told that they are unable to accommodate large withdrawals.

Moved to the West Coast, knowing we were leaving our bank, BMO Harris, behind. Thank God we could do direct deposit and online banking, but we celebrated when we found out they bought Bank of the West! Hello, old friend! I had a problem and came to this location, and they resolved it in less than 10 minutes. Thank you, guys!! Efficient and straight to the point. From identity theft to car loans, BMO has handled it beautifully for us for 15 great years!!

I rarely go into the Bank Branch but when I have, the people there have been super helpful and friendly. Their investment people have been great.

They’re hella rude I called with a question about my account and they told me to hold and then hung up. And when I called back they forwarded my call. Wednesday Jan 11 10:47 am.

Nope don't waste time on this place takes 30 min just for then to feel comfortable to attend you then charge ten dollars to cash your check when it's from that bank what a joke takes less time to go to another tp cash a check

Hold times are apx. 1+ hours and it does not appear to matter what time of day). I finally DROVE to the bank while on hold because they had still not answered. This is not convenient.

Folsom branch---2 people i spoke with were Extremely rude--unhelpful--inaccessible--called 10am was told i'd get a call back from a banker--got a call back at 2 from the teller saying the banker would not help me on the phone...You must make an appointment to speak with a banker. Website gives you-- in person or phone options---however---NO APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAIL. Then Jeff says NO --phone help is possible and why can't i just accept that. even tho i am currently on the phone with him---he refused to help me...he basically hung up on me by saying he was done.. (new account question) I must come in (i am 1 week post op and can't! also---covid??) ..i called another branch and brandon said he would look into it and get back to me--whether he could or couldn't--at least he didn't just dismiss me,,..Jeff in folsom---sorry my 25,000.00 isn't worth your trouble . i tried calling corporate customer service--was on hold 45 minutes before i was disconnected...same today!

Simply awful- incompetent, slow, mis-functioning computer systems, not friendly, and now moving from free products to expensive beyond bigger competitors. The Icing on the cake - sent me a letter telling me i would now be charged $60 per month for two business checking accounts. I called left message no return phone call. Well, so much for personalized business banking service. Called main number gave me wrong information then acted as if it was unimportant. Message received i will shop for a better bank. Regardless of your visit, the day of the week or what time of day you visit this location, plan on waiting. This location ALWAYS seems to have clocks that run backwards. Whomever made the executive decision to cut Saturday lobby hours on most of BotW's locations slit their own throat. Many options out there that beat BotW in service, options, account fees (lack thereof) and availability.
