Eduardo is my tree guy. He is very helpful in picking out trees, both choosing based on criteria, and picking the best tree on the lot. We spent almost two hours. Today he gave me watering and fertilizer advice and asked for pictures so we can document progress.

This place is awesome, and I haven’t even darkened its doorstep! A little context: for more than a year, I’ve been on the hunt for a particular type of fruit tree that is hard to find in the area (and the local regulations make ordering one online nearly impossible). After months of searching, someone recommended Moon Valley, and so I called to inquire.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Amanda, who was so exceedingly knowledgable, lovely and helpful that I felt compelled to write a review singing her praises for going above and beyond at 7:35 am for a random person (ie not officially a customer*) with a lot of questions (some related to the fruit tree; many completely unrelated).
Anyway, the world is in a weird place, leading many people to be [generally] more gruff/distracted/distraught. Understandable! But I’d be remiss not to give Amanda a shoutout for bucking the trend and making my day with her good attitude, patience and willingness to help, despite the plant I was seeking not being in stock currently at the nursery. How unusual is that?!

Recently bought a few large fruit trees for my empty backyard. Miguel answered all my questions during tree selection, explained in detail what worked for my area and planting location. Jorge and his crew were great for the installation, they answered all my questions when I was determining the layout and offered additional insights on growth and tree needs. Great service!

Friendly Nick in Fillmore helped us get an avocado tree with three avocados growing on it on January 26, 2024. I wanted to review him in Yelp but it's gotten impossible to get into Yelp with their "I am not a robot" thingie. Nick was extremely personable and answered all our questions. He gave us a gallon of Moon Valley Nurseries Super Charged Moon Juice because we told him that we've tried planting three avocado trees in our backyard which have all died. He said that since these are grown in this area they have acclimated to our climate and should do well. Thanks for your help, Nick!

So happy we chose Moon Valley in Fillmore to help us with our backyard landscaping. We just completed a large hillside With walls, stairs, lighting, and irrigation. Royce and Amanda helped us with all the choices for plants, including seven trees, and worked with us to provide the best value and pricing for our project. Royce took us around the nursery to help us choose and tag the trees that appealed to us. Royce came out to our house and flag locations for all of our trees, which was very helpful. On the day of the planting, Miguel and his crew showed up right on time and went to work. The crew worked together with the us to place the trees in just the right location with just the right orientation for the best view from our deck. When it came time to do our color plantings, Miguel and his crew came out a second time, placed all the plants to our satisfaction, cleaned up all the dirt piles and left the entire project smooth and clean on our hillside. We are so happy with the transformation that came about with the help of all the good folks at Moon Valley. We are so glad we chose to work with Moonvalley on this huge project!

Outstanding customer service and quality products at reasonable prices are an unbeatable combo. From choosing the right trees/plants with Kico to the actually planting supervised by Joel, it was an A++ experience. This is one of the most customer service-oriented companies I have ever dealt with. I highly recommend them.

Just had my MVP service done by Ramon and he was great. He took his time to explain to me what was going on with my citrus trees and I learned so much from him today about what to look for. I really hope he will stay as my MVP tech for the future.

We needed to replace a tree in our backyard and were looking for a large olive tree. We met up with Eduardo who showed us around. I am very picky and he was extremely helpful explaining the different tree types and what might work for our situation (we needed a tree that was not too messy and we wanted an evergreen). We ended up picking an olive tree. He helped us find a large one that worked perfect for our yard. We scheduled the delivery and couldn't wait for the tree to arrive.Two weeks later George arrived with his crew to scope out the area and they began digging the hole. Our tree was full grown and needed a double crew so Mauricio and his crew arrived a short time later. I was concerned they would not be able to get the tree in our yard due to the difficulty of the steps and having to bring it in the back gate. It took ten men, but they managed to get the tree in place. They were patient with us moving it from side to side until it was placed at just the right angle. We love the tree and would highly recommend Moon Valley.

We had an amazing experience with Moon Valley Nurseries, from start-to-finish. Our journey started with a visit to their Filmore location where Eduardo spent a couple of hours with us driving around the property and looking at different tree options. He was incredibly knowledgeable and very patient with us. When we were concerned about whether the trees we selected would work in the areas we were looking to plant them, he came out to the house to do an in-person consultation. When it came time to plant them, the coordinators Amanda and Miguel were very professional, customer-focused, and helped make sure everything went as planned. Miguel followed up several times to make sure everyting was going well, and after the service was completed, with ensuring we were happy with the entire process. He was great! And lastly, the two crews that came out (2 different planting days), led by Mauricio and George, were outstanding. The skills of each of the teams really blew us away. They were easy to work with, very skilled and efficient, and consulted with us throughout the project. It was easy to see the tenure of these teams by their craftmanship. They knew exactly what they were doing, overcame any/all obstacles (removed turnk & roots in the way), and their expertise in the prepwork, planting, and caring for the trees was quite evident. I highly recommend Moon Valley Nurseries for all your landscape needs. Thank you for your great work!

MVN was amazing. We were able to buy a 14 foot camphor tree back in Aug 2022 when it was 50% off. Kevin was the best and provided great customer service. MVN held onto the tree all through the rain storms this winter until our construction was completed and we were able to get it planted this past week (3/25/2023). The planting crew was awesome as well. Super professional and did everything exactly as we hoped for down to the small details (like the direction the tree faced and the level above ground for finished landscaping project). Thank you very much for everything!

Very impressive tree nursery in Filmore! We had the most wonderful time checking out the available fruit trees.Eduardo greeted us shortly after we arrived in the parking lot and gave us a very fun tour. We had so many questions about fruit trees and Eduardo gave us a world class education within 10 minutes. We feel so lucky to have spent that time learning from such a friendly and knowledgeable member of this team.The property is beautiful and I am very impressed with what they are doing here!Thank you
