DeeDee was amazing! Met us at their storage unit, helped us sort thru the inventory, she was super knowledgeable and we got full and queen mattress for great prices!! Total local treasure and glad to keep our money local. Will never shop for a mattress anywhere else! Thanks DeeDee!

I am totally pleased with my experience at Mattress Direct. Dee Dee makes the bed selection process very easy with absolutely no pressure from her to buy anything. She carries a high quality line of beds and because of her low overheard, is able to sell them at a reasonable price. I am now sleeping on a bed that is made for back support. It's making a difference in my low back and I couldn't be happier. Dee Dee is extremely easy to communicate with and is all about customer service.

2 months in update: the luxury firm back supporter = best sleep of my life. It's so great that my 9 yo giant dog started sleeping on it too (he usually prefers the floor since he wears a year round winter coat encasement) and he LOVES it. He never wanted to sleep on my old mattress, which was a good one, but this new one DeeDee hooked me up with is simply irresistible.

First of all, I was skeptical when I only saw positive reviews… but having met and bought a mattress from Dee Dee, I can confirm that it is all true because she is a solid business owner and extremely personable.Initially I was set on getting another innerspring mattress with individually wrapped coils but after trying out a few firm spring mattresses, including the back supporter Norwalk firms, I knew I could not go back to a regular innerspring mattress. The difference in support was confirmed by the position I wake up in from naps as well as sleeping through the night—I wake up in the same position I fell asleep in, which means I did not thrash about in my sleep due to discomfort.As for the sales process, Dee Dee was laid back, patient, and flexible in working with my schedule. She gave me time and space to try out various mattresses I was interested in and was knowledgeable about each mattress’s build, materials, etc.I had some apprehension purchasing the Spring Air Norwalk Firm mattress, as it was over what I had originally budgeted, but I don’t feel so bad given that those dollars went to a local small business for a US made product that has improved my quality of sleep.The delivery and payment process was quick and easy. Dee Dee is very thorough and took time to follow up with me. She accepts payment by check, PayPal, or you can do installments.Unfortunately I was too excited for my new bed so I put sheets on before snapping a picture but I included a picture of the mattress tags and part of the receipt.

I'm so glad I found this business when looking for a mattress. I wanted to shop local but never expected to find a deal as good as I did. I called to make an appointment and ion the agreed day/time (next day!!!) we met at the storage facility where the mattresses are. It was super easy to test all the ones I wanted to and when it came to delivery, the owner put the mattress on the back of her truck and followed us home!! The whole process was done masked, appropriate distances were kept and everything we touched was cleaned. I would highly recommend anybody to go to Mattress Direct and save some serious money since there is no big markup !!! You will not regret it!!

Buying a mattress from DeeDee was fast, simple and an overall great experience! Her prices were the best from any place I called in town, and she was extremely communicative throughout the whole process. If I could buy mattresses more often I would because of DeeDee!

Found out about Mattress direct on yelp and decided to give it a try, was not disappointed. Will be an unsual mattress buying experience (trying out mattresses in a storage facility) but a pleasant one. Really good prices and the mattress has been great so far (have been using it for a couple of weeks). Will definitely buy from Dee Dee in the future! Thanks Dee Dee!!

I have been shopping at Mattress Direct for over 10 years. Dee Dee is wonderful and so knowledgeable about mattresses and their construction. I love the portfolio of mattresses that she offers and that she has NEVER tried to up sell me. She gives me the facts, lets me lay on them see how they feel and then I make my own decision. You will not find a better deal or better service in town.

My daughter is at UCSC and I came up from San Diego to buy her a bed. We did not have much time and DeeDee met with us immediately, provided a wealth of mattress info!, and delivered the same afternoon. Very pleased.

This is the way to buy a mattress. We met DeeDee (by appt) and from start to finish it took just over two hours and this includes delivering and setting up the mattress. Don't be afraid of meeting at a mini-storage – she has lots of mattresses and you try them out right there. We shopped around at the stores in Santa Cruz and her prices really are A LOT less. It turns out her Yelp! reviews are real. A pleasant experience all around.

Thank you Dee Dee for helping us find the perfect mattress. My boyfriend was relocated for work and we had one day to find a mattress. We called Dee Dee and she accommodated our schedule, was great at showing us the mattress options, had us try the mattress out, delivered it to the apartment and assembled the mattress. She was so easy to work with, kind and friendly. We recommend her with no hesitation.

We just bought two twin XL foam back supporter mattresses from DeeDee at Mattress Direct. We initially went to her business to look for a King size mattress and box spring. We found one we liked, and after thinking about it for a couple of weeks, decided that we would like to get an adjustable bed frame and mattress. Emailed and talked with DeeDee and did some research on the adjustable frames ourselves. We ended up with the frames from Costco, and then found the wonderful foam mattresses (twin XL's) from DeeDee. Savings were significant from what we had seen at a couple of the stores, and DeeDee was kind, and competent, and endlessly patient to deal with.

Mattress Direct and Dee Dee's service is an absolute gem in Santa Cruz. I initially had a hard time believing the flawless Yelp record this business has accrued, but Dee Dee's customer service and unbeatable prices have me thoroughly convinced that you cannot find a better mattress for a better price in all of Santa Cruz county. I ended up purchasing the best mattress I've ever owned (in addition to a box spring and frame and free delivery) for about 60% the price of what I would have paid at a regular mattress sales outlet. As the business' name suggests, Dee Dee sells the mattresses directly from the manufacturers and passes along the savings to her customers. Don't give it a second thought. This is without a doubt the best place to buy your next mattress.
