“I wandered into this bookstore some 13 years ago on a hot, hot day in Felton after cleaning some horse stables. I was exhausted and sweaty, and didn’t know what kind of bookstore it was.When I entered I was greeted by a priest with such genuine warmth it surprised me. He immediately guessed I must be thirsty, and brought me a cup of ice water. His kindness was so moving I have not forgotten it to this day. Even though I live in Minneapolis now I still remember this visit from time to time. The store itself is filled with beautiful imagery and quality books and has an aura of reverence that actually feels spiritual.”

“i LOVE this place. the bookshelves nearly reach the ceiling, and they have pretty much every title imaginable -- even a collection from a random poet i found on pinterest. (: friendly staff. sections clearly marked, with a whole area for kids, and i love the other little things they sell -- calendars, tote bags, stuffed animals. the banned books section is super cool too, with little tags under certain titles explaining the reasons for banning. i was able to pick up a copy of JAMES by percival everett just a few weeks after release -- i appreciate their attention to new and popular releases, and the availability of these books! it's a little pricey, but the used books carts have good deals. i stop by every time i'm downtown!”
