Spent a lot on a “deluxe” box and received a bunch of stemless & unusable gourds. I grow and know gourds. Some looked like long sweet potatoes, some were blemished, and when I contacted customer service, they said to buy their stems (they have a bag of stems on their site) and attach them to the gourds I already bought. They said their gourds are handled 6,7 times in the harvesting process so if you need stems on your gourds, this isn’t the place to find them. The one apple gourd I received will need filler before I can use it. They didn’t offer to help after waiting, patiently after 2 weeks for a response from customer service. All for their deluxe package. 100% negative experience.

This place is wonderful!! I drove up from San Ysidro because it was the only gourd place I could find. TIP: Do NOT follow Google maps. Follow the directions on their website. Funny story about that!
They had thousands of gourds, all shapes and sizes in bins. Some were cleaned, the majority were not. I prefer the uncleaned because after you clean them it's a surprise to see the result.
The staff was so nice and helpful and prices were great. I had to go back 2 weeks later because I needed their Proxxon jig saw for cutting. I couldn't figure out how to assemble it when I got home, so I called them and they helped me over the phone.
I bought about 50 gourds and I can't wait until I finish them, so I can go back. Highly recommend if you're in the market for gourds.

Received my Gourds yesterday and I am absolutely THRILLED with the speed of delivery and the QUALITY of the gourds, they are top quality and ready to paint.
I Certainly give WELBURN FARMS 5 STARS. I would give them more if chart allowed.

My Disneyland! Great staff, relaxing store to shop for all your gourd needs.
You may run into Phoebe Welburn while roaming around the farm. Kind sweet lady. I love the drive along the country side. The thick gourds are like no others. I love visiting.

Beautiful drive from Fallbrook.
The Gourd farm was huge! Tables & tables of gourds.
We migrated to the "clean" tables. Had so much fun picking our the really small gourds. For the kids to paint as ornaments.
I want to call it the gift shop, it had everything you need to carve, clean, wood burning tips, dremel bits, paints, stains & dyes, plus samples of gourds painted in all different designs.
Really fun. Fortunately its close to Fallbrook for lunch afterwards!

We drove up 2½hours to gather some gourd for our Tribal Harvest Gathering this weekend. The youth are going to make mini rattles (I will add some photos when we are done). This event was sponsored by Torres Martinez Youth Council and Jacob Ward Instructor. Great place lots of gourd and the staff was very helpful. We will be back
