The lady who is the manager to this thrift store not only is rude but also does not seem like shes interested in helping those in need . I would not in any way ever donate here again . I hope she doesn’t treat her employees like this either . We had the worst experience ever ! And will never refer anyone to them again . According to all the other reviews down below , they obviously need to a HUGE turn around in management cause this is unacceptable. I pray that if this manager is going through something -she finds a solution ,because people don’t deserve to be treated the way she’s treating others when they’re going through a hard time.

Normally, a big fan. Today bought a taped item that listed price they were asking, & price item sold for. They failed to indicate that the item was not intact! I now have $8 of nothing!

Honestly, the shop appeared to be alright when we first entered (it was a normal store with nothing out of the ordinary and so I expected a normal experience). The store is really small, so it didn’t take too long to work our way through it and, eventually, some boots caught our eyes. To be sure that the number written on the soles of the shoes was the correct price, we decided to ask— and mind you, we said nothing more than a few words in English i.e. “is this the price of the boots?” The old lady running the counter looked at us for a solid few minutes (probably trying to retrieve the right word) and responded with “siete” then she turned away, at this point, I just wanted to roll my eyes and I began the same conversation that I always have with my mother whenever something like this happens— the sheer ignorance of many white people when it comes to people of color. But, alas, we mostly let it slide. That is until we got to the counter to pay and the lady tried again to speak in Spanish to us after we were speaking English fluently! At this point, we couldn’t hold our tongues any longer, and nor should we because of the blatant disrespect shown in the fact that she just disregarded the language that we were speaking to her in, it was just so ignorant and fought between the second embarrassment and being appalled. This lady just kept going! When we pointed this out to her, she goes, and I quote, “I’m practicing— and you’re practicing, and you too!” She said this all with the most self-righteous smile I have ever seen, again, it was horrifying. Just to be clear, neither my mother nor I was practicing our English because we don’t need to, we’re fluent.Anyways, I just needed to put that out there because what that lady did was one of the most ignorant things anyone could ever do. I speak Spanish as fluently as I speak German and Turkish, which is to say not very well.(Also, the prices aren't even that great for a thrift shop especially and there really isn't much in the store, I doubt younger people would enjoy it)

What I love about St. Vincents is that they sometimes help local people who are in desperate circumstances avoid devastating consequences from missed payments. For that reason, I have recommended donating to St. Vincent's for years and continue to do so. Unfortunately, after I made a large donation, the manager went off on me for several minutes for asking a question that most people would have asked in the situation. She carried on loudly until I wordlessly retreated and disengaged completely. I wasn't given a receipt, and I now feel I have to take the batches I'm organizing for fall donations to another location out of town or another charity in Fallbrook. Everyone else I've encountered when shopping at St. Vincents' or making donations there has been very professional and kind. I have to assume that good experiences are the norm. I'd recommend dealing with the front-line staff as I've never had problems with any of them.

All the ladies were super friendly and the prices were great. I wasn't aware of the hours and arrived 40 minutes before closing. I swept through the store and when I went upstairs I met the director who was very helpful. She added up my items as I shopped so it would help the ladies be able to check me at faster. Will be going back and get there early!

Love this little thrift store. The employees are always kind, knowledgeable and welcoming every time I go there. I've donated a lot of items to the store because its proceeds help Fallbrook residents! It's a very blessed place to help others easily by just donating items from our homes or businesses.

Just called to donate some nicely built, gently used furniture, and the lady answering the phone was VERY rude. From the get go she seemed annoyed that I was calling with a donation. Needless to say I will be donating to someone else. They missed out on some nice stuff.

Such rude employees. Every time I've been here I've always had a bad experience, today I asked for a simple receipt... which is standard with any business I thought and the lady was very rude telling me it "doesn't have anything exiting on it" and stared at me rudely untill I told her I'd still like one. Previous times have been worse. Every other thrift store I've been to in fallbrook I've had nothing but kind and willing employees help or answer questions. Never once had I had a good experience here.

A good place to find a treasure of goods from the past and currently in production at a price that can't be beat. And, the price is right and the money goes to a good cause. You'll be proud of yourself in all respects. Try it, you'll like it !
