Update: adding a star because the store has really improved since it became a corporate store. The building has been nicely updated and the inventory beefed up. It’s awesome!
They generally have anything I need as a handyman. I’ve been pretty happy with the service until today. They sold my client a toilet seat with the bolts package missing. When I went back to ask for a package with the bolts, they would not help me and made me purchase a separate package of bolts. I understand it’s been past 30 days. I understand that the computer won’t let you do it blah blah blah. But in reality, a manager can override something like that. Ace went from five stars to three stars today. Ace put them selves first this time. Not the customer.
Also, i find the request to round up my change for charity every time I shop very bothersome. All that is as a tax write off for ace hardware. Sure a charity gets a little bit of money. But ultimately it’s about Ace Hardware saving money on their taxes.

Great place always seems to have what I need but. If you buy a fan or AC know it you can't return it unless it is malfunctioning

It’s not like it once was, when it was Joe’s. Now it’s hard to find someone and they’ll barely help if you can find them. Today I asked if they could send someone to plumbing. They replied, ‘there’s someone back there’…and there wasn’t.
When it was Joe’s there was help everywhere.
Go to Home Depot or Lowes.

My son went to the lumberyard because he needed a small piece of 2x4 and he found a piece of scrap lumber that he thought would work. It was a cut off piece of scrap lumber so they didn’t even charge him for it. He did end up buying some hardware that was needed for the project! Their customer service is outstanding!

Came in for a drywall repair kit, walked the store once and couldn’t figure out where it was, got distracted in one aisle, and luckily Mark came up and asked if I needed help, he walked me over to the drywall repair aisle and helped me find the best solution for the best price, which I really appreciated. Joan at check out was super sweet too. signed me up for the reward program and explained it very well. great experience.

The WORST hardware store I've ever been in ... it's a joke of a store as the ppl. That works there as well ... they don't know anything about much of anything if you ask them ..
They seem more like Special Ed. Adults / ppl. That works there .

This used to be a great hardware store now it’s a glorified BBQ store that is way over priced. They have an ok selection on the basic home needs but nothing like it used to be. Save some money and go to the depot

Shop there a lot. Just bought a house in Fallbrook w/lots of renovations to be done. JR in the lumber yard is always very helpful, friendly & professional.
