No one bothers to clean out old stock. Almost every bag of feed from this store was infested, and not just a few weevils but overrun as if they’d been spreading for a long time.

This place is awesome and the staff is amazing. It changed my life when they moved to downtown Fallbrook. Highly recommend for all related needs dog food, hay, feed, supplies (rakes, muck buckets, carts, etc), new born chics, goats, etc

When you live in a farming community it's important to have a place for all your animals needs... Hawthorne provides this with quality feed and products at a fair price. Even more so having someone who is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick on their feet to greet you and assist with whatever you may need is equally important. Jackie is all of these things and more. She's built an assertive team who is equally helpful and knowledgeable. Jackie, Luke, Brian, Deann, and Nico make a trip to Hawthorne feel like a walk in the park. If they don't have something you need Jackie is quick to tell you when she can have it in. When in doubt ask for Jackie and she will help you sort things out with the helpful assist of one of her team members.

I am now a customer for life. In the past I would call around for pricing and chase a few cents on my organic chicken feed which has really gone up since Covid. But through a series of coincidences yesterday, I needed advice not once, while I was in the store and was blown away by the helpfulness on questions about my cats but again later in the day when I was really stumped with a chicken question. Of course the conversation was pre-empted by see a vet, but the hand of experience offers a lot of wisdom and you just can't put a price on that. I appreciate that they are willing to help the average person by sharing their experience with their own animals. A million thanks to you and I will now be buying my catfood and any future critter's food from you because you are amazing and really stepped up for me. Cheers to Hawthorne!!!
