Truly top quality food. Obviously human grade beef produced in the U.S. leaves a lot to be desired, so I usually buy rabbit. Super-expensive and wish it was available in more locations, but I've tried lots of food and every indicator is this is the best. My friend's dog was scratching and licking paws, had skin issues, etc., and a week of eating Halshan's and it was a different dog. Even the dog's mood and energy visibly changed. I have 2 big pitbulls and I LITERALLY spend as much on halshan's as my mortgage payment, but totally worth it. (For one of the dogs I include Spot and Tango just to try to save a few dollars!) Spot and Tango doesn't agree with the other dog tho.

We have been feeding our two shelties the Whole Ground Beef with bone now for over a year. I add some extra meat, air-dried superfood, sweet potatoes and various nutritional toppers, to each pound to try and maximize the volume and satisfy their appetite. It is too expensive by itself.

I have only ever used the single protein with bone blends for over a year. The quality is questionable to me. Most of the time the package leaks after thawing & they seem to be vacuum sealed differently, some tigh & some loosely. There are differences in meat color between the same type of food . The bone grind size is way too large for my pets. I am finlly moving on to other brands.

I am a dog trainer, as well I offer dog daycare services and boarding. I reccomend Halshan to all my clients, as well, my own dogs only eat Halshan. They are all the epitome of health and vitality with beautiful shiny coats.Dogs that have had allergies, chronic skin/yeast problems, GI issues. Dogs that have been on perscription diets, have all thrived being fed Halshan. All dogs are decendents of wolves, the main diet of wolves is meat, which means your dog should be eating raw meat, raw organs, and raw bones.Your dog will thank you for feeding them Halshan.

My 16 year old cat has been eating Halshans since I adopted her when she was around 2. I was introduced to this food by a client who fed his 90 pound dog this diet. As long as I include organ meat, she gets the adequate amount of taurine. I have experience with many types of commercial raw food as I am a pet sitter. In my opinion, Halshans, by far, exceeds them all. It thaws into the consistency of hamburger and does not have the icky smell and consistency like many of the other brands I've seen. Until recently (mild hyperthyroidism), my cat has never been sick or had the need to go to the vet for any illness. I highly recommend Halshans for dogs and cats.

I'm a registered veterinary technician with almost 30 years in the profession. Our industry is trained to steer clients away from raw due to concerns of bacterial contamination and towards dry kibble brand name products for nutritional balance. I have a client who has insisted on feeding this product to a German Shepherd she rescued about 6 months ago. I only have one thing to say about this product. AMAZING! This dog is in beautiful condition, nice lean muscle mass, the coat shimmers, almost no shedding, no skin irritation on the paws , ears etc and the dog is calm. I'm afraid I would have to agree with a previous post that I have seen a HUGE increase in skin problems, allergies, ear infections, anxiety, shedding as well as metabolic diseases in pets fed popular dry kibble brands. In fact a recent study is beginning to suggest that grain free diets are being linked to a heart condition called dialated cardiomyopathy in dogs due to lack of taurine in these diets. All I can say is if your pet is suffering due to a commercial kibble diet with the symptoms I just described you need to try this product. Handle it appropriately and watch your pet thrive !

Excellent food. The best you can feed your dog with a wide variety. Perfect for raw feeders of small dogs because it's hard to get all the right proportions for them in butcher meat. Great customer service too.
