Stop and say hey to Matt he will give you the best advice and what to fish with wether fly or spin and how to navigate My husband & I's first trip and was told time of year in AUG is Thoughest ... it was amazingly beautiful and i nailed 3 wild trout can not explain how fun it was seeing my lure come toward boat and actually see silver streek and come across weeds and nail it . seeing Mt Shasta and Mt Lassen with snow floating down a river ommmmm

Matt and his shop were a great resource on my recent trip up to the Shasta area. We came in for licenses and left with a couple good stories, some great tips / local knowledge, and much better tackle than we would have had otherwise. Matt's enthusiasm and knowledge are exactly why brick and mortar shops have value today. 10/10!

Matt is an expert in when it comes to fishing but not just fishing, he's an expert at the science behind fishing bc he was formally educated in it at Humboldt University. Matt literally knows more than anyone I've ever met and I love that he's willing to share his wealth of knowledge with those of us eager enough to listen. Matt is an expert at biology as well as boat mechanics. This guy knows more than probably most people on earth as he has mastered his crafts over time. Going to Matt will cost you a fair price and always learning a few things, if not in more cases learning a lot. Matt and the services he provides are unparalleled in professionalism. The community is very fortunate to have such a gem!!! Shasta Angler is a top notch business and that's bc its owner is a top notch pro! :-)

Some local fishing tackle.. ok boat mechanics and boat sales... they don't have all you will need for fishing but mostly. Over priced on some things but I shop here to help the local community.
