DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TRUST Danielle with your claim!!! She’s unprofessional, rude and have no idea what she’s doing. She assured us when we came in to file a claim that everything will be taken care of including her taking documents from us that are now no where to be found! Came back in the office today to follow up but she couldn’t recall our visit, had no notes of our visit, and to make things worst she had no record of the documents we physically handed to her in person (she proceeded to lie about it too) and a claim was never filed! She wasted so much of our time now we have to start from square one going through the process AGAIN!! I have now confirmed why my husband is always on edge with these people!!!! Our veterans who fought and sacrificed for this country DO NOT DESERVED THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT!!!

The receptionist here is horrible. Not helpful at all to veterans coming in for assistance. Her attitude shows she couldn't care less.

Troubling experience. Did receive a small increase in disability. I felt like a second-class citizen when I requested additional services. Must be short-handed with a lot of stress. Greetings upon arrival were good from secretary. I need more services. I will report back about further help.

I showed up to get assistance after speaking to someone that said I could walk in. ANYTIME between 1-4pm. I show up 30 mins before they close and they can't get me in even though they are walk in hours. The receptionist didn't even bother to show compassion or take into consideration that I had to drive 45 mins to get here.

I've used the great services this office provides since 2019 (drivers license) when I needed Veteran designation applied to new license. I was fortunate to meet Natalie Silva, she not only made my first visit easy she made it informative about what this office can provide. Since then Natalie and the two women at the front of the office have always been wonderful (Nancy & Amy)! Natalie has not only filed my claims she has been a continued resource for navigating the ever changing Veterans benefits and resources. My recommendation to anyone looking for help is to contact this understaffed over worked group. Thank you Ladies for your SERVICE.

Moved to Fairfield in 2018 and used the services provided by the VSO downtown. The office filed my claims and i received favorable outcomes. I was also informed of other benefits i qualified for (reduced property tax on my home). Overall, i am thankful for the members of this office who help our veterans as much as they could day in and day out.

Waste of time. Talked to one of their supposedly accredited employees (Bill And ares) about filing for aid and attendance. Asked one question, he didn't know the answer, would need to do some research, and would call me back. That was 3 weeks ago. My advice, do the research and submit the claims yourself.

As a transitioning military veteran, I chose Solano County VSO as my representative upon moving to the immediate area. I provided all original paperwork to one of the full time employees, BILL ALCARES, so I can begin the long and meticulous process of filing for VA benefits. Fast forward three months - I call back to check up on the status of my packet only to find out that the employee which I had given my paperwork to had lost all original copies and had yet to even begin my claim. In fact, if I had not called or emailed, I would have never found out where I was in the process in terms of filing my VA claim. I lost three months of crtiical VA claim time as a result of gross negligence and laziness due to Bill Alcares and this office. To pour salt on my wound, as I picked up the remnants of my paperwork, Bill Alcares, nor the department director, Ted Puntillo offered any sincere apologies or regrets due to their fault in servicing my VA claim. As a veteran who has seen multiple combat deployments I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE ALL OTHER VETERANS SEEKING VA CLAIM ASSISTANCE TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS VSO!

Five Stars! The VSO that helped me with my case was excellent. I was initially worried when I first walked in that I would be leaving with a sense of disappointment. I'm happy to say.... THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. Overall, the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.
