Recently thier produce has been horrible. I have seen bad expired produce still on the shelf, today there was bad packages of stir fly veggies clearly slimmy and turning colors still on shelf. Last time I was there I bought berries got home and the whole package except top few berries were all bad and moldy.

I've always thought of this as a premiere go to Safeway ... unfortunately today that bubble burst!
Meat dept smelled bad
Some foods on the shelf were expired at full price!
The store was not clean...and
The bathroom was unusable, so dirty and smelly!
I won't be back here for awhile!!

This Safeway is immaculate! Lisa in the floral department is the sweetest. Very nice people working here, overall.

I went in for my lunch break got the $9.00 chicken special it was well worth it came with a lot of wings.

Locked the doors at 12:50 am on me and a worker. I asked the worker if they were already closed and she said "I guess so cuz even I'm locked out." I then said NOPE, as she knocked on the door, I need to talk to someone about that. They let me in and were VERY rude about it. Even the cashier was silent the whole transaction even though I asked how she was doing. I like this Safeway because you have things others don't and stay open until 1am (although it SHOULD be later or 24 hours again), but this was not a good experience at all. PLEASE make sure you have them lock the doors later and teach them some respect for customers. This is not the first time workers were quite rude and I've been hesitant long enough to write this review. Thanks

Unknowledgeable clerk who doesn't know the difference between top sirloin steak and tenderloin steak. Needed a sticker. Bag boy took back tenderloin and brought back a sirloin instead. I told her that they were not the same. She would not listen when I tried to explain and shouting ensured. Any cook knows the difference between sirloin and tenderloin, i.e. filet mignon.

Safeway and Vons are owned by the same firm. The Safeway in GV- Cordelia is a joke, the deli section is good. The check out is another story. Fridays are bad. Staff standing around. None of the staff asks, "who's next." No number machine, would be to easy that way.

Had such a pleasant shopping experience here. Anthony was very helpful and courteous. He offered fantastic recommendations and made sure we were taken care of. We LOVE the fresh French bread!
