Jim is an amazing guy and he does absolutely stellar work. He is a total pro and you can rest assured that your piece will be handled with the utmost care, fit for display in a museum. He has a great eye and great taste for the perfect frame. I love hearing all of the wonderful stories from his life, and seeing the interesting pieces that happen to be in the shop whenever I visit. It's a long drive from where I live, but it is always worth it! His apprentice Quinn clearly has the passion and talent for the work, and I am excited to see what the future holds for him. I am so glad that Zoltron recommended this shop to me many years ago, I have taken every piece here since. I look forward to a lifetime of enjoyment appreciating the art that adorns my walls, so carefully preserved by Jim and his shop.

Framing for a large poster was not ready on time before the December holidays..okay not a horrible thing but was disappointing. Then though, the final product was out of alignment/not centered. Returned for it to be fixed (considering we paid hundreds of dollars for a simple frame job...) and was told he'd call when it's done. It's been over a month and no call. Really difficult to work with such constrained business hours too, unfortunately.

It pains me to write this as this in my town and my frame shop, but horrible service is horrible service. We delivered, as we have done in the past with no issue, 4 new paintings we acquired in travel to Jim for framing. Two of which we received on time and were happy with our experience. The third was misplaced but we were to receive in "near future". The forth was there but not completed. Long story short, we did receive the third but after 6 months of waiting. The fourth was never completed, had a large pencil mark on it and had to be asked for 9 months after originally dropping off. No excuse for this kind of disappointment.

Jim is an artist and a great guy. We don’t bother trying to think up how best to frame our items, just leave it to Jim. He’s been framing our stuff for years and we’ve never been disappointed. A Marin treasure.

Jim is a great framer. Has creative ideas and the work is impeccable. Has now framed a beautiful original work of art and a really cool job on framing an original poster. The style was great and his experience and great stories are an unexpected addition.
