West Marin Pet Hospital
767 Center Blvd, FairfaxExcellent care. My dog had an injury and I took her to West Marin Pet Hospital. They took care of my dog promptly and thoughtfully. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Fairfax Veterinary Clinic
2084 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, FairfaxBrought my new scared rescue pup in for treatment and the staff are all very sweet and patient with her and me! Bright new office with lots of space to even sit in a little semi private alcove if you need a little extra distance. Parking can be a little tricky, but I found I can park in the United grocery parking lot and it’s a short easy walk inside to the vet. No worries!

Barefoot Cafe
1900 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, FairfaxJust had brunch at Barefoot Café and wow—so good! Pancakes that actually melt in your mouth and ravioli that tastes like it came straight from an Italian grandma’s kitchen. Chill vibes, friendly staff, and everything feels fresh. Definitely my new go-to spot in Fairfax!

Stillwater
23 Broadway, FairfaxOne of the best bar/restaurants in town; dimly lit, great local vibe; Eli especially makes spectacular cocktails. We had just happened by after supper at twilight on a Sunday; mezcal, whiskey, duck tacos, oh and the churros! all great.

Splitrock Tap & Wheel
2020 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, FairfaxBest bike shop in town...any town! Where else can you enjoy a delicious meal and a damn good while you wait for your bike to be repaired? Not to mention, reasonable prices, great service, quality products. Oh, and easy parking for any vehicle. I parked my massive RV because that is what I was driving when I discovered the flat tire on my ebike.

The Hummingbird
57 Broadway, FairfaxI recently moved to San Anselmo, and am so happy I “found” The Hummingbird in nearby Fairfax. It’s in a good location at 57 Broadway Blvd. with plenty of free parking across the street. I really like the New Orleans vibe at The Hummingbird. The menu includes several creole items alongside standard breakfast and lunch choices. The servers are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food is fresh and delicious. I love their catfish po’ boy sandwich. The fried green tomato BLT is very good too. My third visit will happen next week — I’m thinking waffle & fried chicken this time . . . or maybe the fried shrimp po’ boy sandwich.

Village Sake
19 Bolinas Rd, FairfaxI was debating what to eat but wanted to check this place out. I got some hamachi Nigiri, Hamachi Tataki, and a hamachi roll (yes there was a theme). I was about to pay the check when I heard the waitress say a fish I had never tried in decades of eating sushi: barracuda. I've swam through a school of barracuda off isla mujeres, but never ate one. So I ordered the nigiri and it was very good and more distinct than I would come to expect from ocean fish, but a smoky taste to it. Try it! This restaurant doesn't try to cover the gamut of fish. They choose which fish are being served, the paper menu that I spilled soy sauce on I suspect is changed with what is available. The fish that was available was the top notch of sashime, someone in the kitchen is paying attention! fresh, flavorful, exquisitely prepared, quick, top notch ingredients even the beer was top of the line. Someone has their soul in this restaurant.

The Coffee Roastery
4 Bolinas Rd, FairfaxWent on a Sunday morning and even though it was busy I got through the line quickly and my drink was ready in just a few minutes. I got a black and white mocha and thought it was very sweet but in a good way. It can feel a bit cramped inside but there is plenary of outdoor seating.
