I've been remiss in not writing about Madera Furniture. Several years ago, Dean (the owner) built us several recycled redwood Adirondack chairs, and repaired/rebuilt an antique bed for us. The chairs anchor our porch and still look beautiful--I sit in one of them almost every day, for six or seven months out of the year--and the bed hosts our guests gracefully. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality, and Dean was a pleasure to deal with. He's a true local artisan.
