Very overpriced, unpleasant smell inside, dirty plates and vases. Not for me.

My sister and I visited Grace Thrift today and we both found treasures! They were affordable and the shop is beautifully arranged. Most wonderful were the two women working there. They may have been the manager (great red hair) and the other a volunteer. They were so helpful and fun to interact with. GREAT thrift store. Highly recommend!

So sorry to post a negative review, but I stopped in because the two prior reviews were quite lovely. I'm not sure what happened to the prices in between their reviews and mine but I was shocked. This is not even remotely what I could call a "thrift" store! Most of their wares are VERY tired worn-out clothing (not vintage) at prices higher than H&M or Marshall's. Even by Marin thrift store standards, this was weird. If you could afford what they are charging, you could buy clothes new. But who would pay these prices to look out of date and dowdy? I had high hopes, but don't go out of your way. Sorry.

Good people here. I popped in to look for a Christmas plate to put some cookies on to give away--found exactly what I was looking for, a $1.50 snowman plate that would look cute and I wouldn't need back. Also ran into a stylish mom from school. That's a good sign for a thrift shop! And I walked into a conversation between the woman who runs the shop and another customer. She said homeless people sometimes stop in and she helps them out by passing on clothing donations. The previous evening--on the cusp of the coldest night of the year so far--an elderly homeless man stopped by to ask if she had any extra blankets or a tarpin her donations. She didn't. She was so visibly upset, it was clear just how dedicated she is to helping people out. She said she was "devastated" and vowed to always keep three blankets on hand not to sell, but to help people in need. Imperfect blankets and coats, with a stain or small tear, don't get put out for sale, so they make a good emergency charitable stash. I brought in a blanket the next day, and she leapt up to hug me. It was amazing to me that someone who dedicates herself so fully to helping prople can also feel so appreciative for the smallest gesture someone else makes.

Went here today while visiting family in town. I found the shop well organized and a pretty good selection. Prices seemed pretty odd - some felt fine ($7 for a funky 80s blouse), but others seemed way overpriced ($30 for some pretty well used heels from the 90s..., $150 for a glass set of bowls that didn't seem that special). I think their prices tend to be a bit high for what they are offering generally, but definitely worth a visit.

I love this place. I found a 90s/y2k vintage Sonia Rykiel velour poor boy sweater for $5. I also found a beautiful 60s/70s Mel Mortman tank top for a similar price. They have Anthropologie and Free People items and such and they price those items higher but you can find some dirt cheap vintage designer pieces here if you know what to look for. I also found the first bucket hat to ever fit me just right. Of course I bought it.
