We lucked out that we happened to be in Fairfax when the farmer's market was open. The piece of nectarine I sampled from the vendor was so sweet and juicy, yum. I think much of the fruit is sourced from California's Central Valley. There was a stand of tall trees where families parked and a pair of musicians played gentle acoustic music.

Product selection was good but no local farmers. Most are from the central valley Fresno area or way north like Sebastopol. Music was weird and awful.

Live music, fresh local produce, food trucks like Zambala and Roti Roti, and green grass beneath your toes under the redwoods. This farmers market is a small gathering of locals and their families. If you don't like seeing strollers and small children running around barefoot, this is not the market for you. Plenty of street parking within one or two blocks of the market. Being a blanket to have dinner, or find a nice log or bench to get comfortable on. There are a few tables and chairs, but you're better off coming prepared. Many vendors take card, but for those who only take cash, there's a Bank of America just one block away.

This is a delightful Farmer's Market. After making our way around to each vendor, Mother and I took a seat on a park bench and were entertained by the adorable children running around chasing one another. We came away with some delicious strawberries and various other items. We will definitely return
