the older Indian woman who is always working at this location is VERY rude and unhelpful every single time. i’ve been coming here for 20 years and frankly i cannot believe how rude she is. disappointing because now i have to go out of my way to go to a further location.

My son accidentally dropped off a FedEx package in the parcel drop and went back 10 mins later and was told they couldn't find it. I went back later and was told FedEx picked it up but then questioned them on why it wasn't scanned. I was told the scan would show up. 4 days later and still no scan and now I have to refund a customer their money after paying for 2-day shipping. USPS really didn't seem to care. :(

This post office is nothing short of amazing! I sell online and have packages that need to be dropped off multiple times a week, they are always super friendly and helpful and make everything extremely easy for me!!

Dave made my day. I lost a very important receipt with an important tracking number. Dave at the Fair Oaks Post Office worked with me for about 10 minutes until he located my transaction and reprinted it. Thank you SO MUCH Dave for helping me and others solve our postal problems.Sometimes it's very busy and sometimes it's empty. Don't take it out on the staff.

Update: September 11, 2023. I’ll leave all 5 stars BUT I changed it to “Most” instead of “All.” I’ll submit a separate review to make this not the focus of the jerk manager Bob.
Has the potential to be the office in town. Most of the staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. The interior is open after hours has ample amount of P.O. Boxes if you need. The counter service area is always clean and well stocked. The location is safe and easily accessed. And the carriers do a great job, never had anything lost. Thank you! Often a service that goes without appreciation. The manager is a total jerk. Everyone else? Good job!

Wanted to charge me $80 to ship a box that doesnt even weight 5lbs. Im trying to ship within california. $80 is ridiculous. Paid $8 for the stupid box that i cannot return. I specifically asked if theyd charge by weight and if thats all. The lady barely understood me (im speaking perfect english). She tossed my box around when I came back and then told me it was that expensive because of the dimensions. I specifically asked earlier when I bought the box if they were gonna charge me anything other than the weight. Ridiculous. Waste of my time and money and I still havent shipped my package.

Best post office in town. The staff are all friendly, helpful, and professional. The interior is open after hours has ample amount of P.O. Boxes if you need. My mail person, Michelle, is so competent. She takes great care in her delivery, even hiding packages in a good spot on our porch. She is always so cheerful, and genuinely likes her job. My entire neighborhood appreciates her. My street is Sanicle Way, please keep her on our route.

"John" at the front desk is the most incompetent employee I have EVER ENCOUNTERED. it's no wonder a majority of the bad reviews for this location are about how awful he is.

I work during the hours they are open and they will not remove a hold on my mail, I am out of vacation days and will not be able to take another day off until next year and they refuse to deliver my mail unless I come in person to remove the hold, this is crazy, they are going to return everything that comes in to sender for the rest of the year and the agent laughed at me and told me it’s my fault. That is fine, I will go paperless and never order anything online again unless it is UPS or FedEx. What they are doing should be illegal to refuse to deliver to me when I let them know I’m back and I’m home. Worst post office ever. I’ll try to use my vacation days to move next year and get as far away from this ridiculous post office as possible.

Seriously everyone at this location is incompetent. I waited in line forever and explained to them that I had an email saying they attempted delivery but there was no where secure to leave it (I live in an apartment of course there isn’t) and that they left a notice. There was no notice. I came here and provided the tracking number to a man who said he looked for it and the carrier definitely had it. So I talked to someone else and he found it immediately and handed it to me, so I said that’s funny the other man literally just told me he looked everywhere and it wasn’t here and I needed to talk to someone else because the I was holding up the line. He told me oh well. Very nice job guys.

The people in this place and the laziest people I've even seen in my life and they NEVER do what they say they are going to do or what will happen. If they say "we'll call you with further updates" nope, they never will. I needed the key and locked changed in my apartment and the 1 week he forgot to turn my paper work in after reminding me multiple times I didn't make it in time so it would take 2 days, I go check on it a week later and then tells me they Weill call me again, NOPE! Another week goes by and they tell me they can't change the lock the apartment does after charging me $50.. I asked for the number so I could speak to the supervisor and to no surprise you can't contact this post office directly at all, HUGE waste of time and will be changing post offices IMMEDIATELY
