“When I tell you that Shannon and the crew are talented that would just be a drop in the bucket of how wonderful my experience was at The Feathered Nest! I was totally lost with how to execute my vision and how to make it come to life within my budget. Shannon looked at my inspiration and she guided me right through and made suggestions that made my space just beyond anything I could have dreamed. Her creativity and intuition are so special and I can rely on her to solve any design problems. Now let's talk about the store. It is so inspiring and beautiful. All of the pieces are special and such good quality. They made it easy to order and receive all of my pieces and they were able to order things for me that I could never have found on my own. They have the best events and the sale is EPIC. I can't wait to work on my next space with them because the joy I feel being surrounded by the beauty Shannon creates is priceless!!!!”

“I had an amazing experience. This was my first tattoo so I was very nervous about the whole process. Austin was my artist and I can't stress this enough... he was awesome. The environment in there is so relaxed and they feel super tight nit which was nice to feel a part of. I plan on going back in the future to add more to the half sleeve I got. Can't recommend them enough!”

“Fire & Rain Gallery is an adorable little art, furniture, jewelry, and home goods boutique located at 705 Sutter Street. Most of the items in the store are created by local artists, but a few come from national artists. The pieces are very eclectic. I've seen everything in this gallery from clocks, to Lazy Susans, to a steel stripper statue suspended from the ceiling by a swing on chains. No matter what your price range is, there is something for you here. The jewelry pieces are stunning, and most of it is affordable. If anyone is looking for a last minute Mother's Day gift for a woman with great taste, Fire & Rain Gallery just might have what you're looking for. It would be impossible to decide what my favorite item in the store is, but I absolutely adore their selection of artsy clocks. They also have handbags, wallets, and all kinds of other accessories. When fact-checking for my review, I found out some interesting information about the gallery. It originally opened at 609 Sutter Street, where Citizen & Vine is now located, in 1994. By 2011, the gallery had moved to El Dorado Hills, but in 2017, they came back to Folsom, just down the street from where they had been before. An old, deleted review on an old, deleted Yelp page describes "the upstairs as magical." I can't imagine Fire & Rain with an upstairs, or being just up the street from Planet Earth Rising, but it looks like that's where it used to be. The new location is sort of long and narrow (and is only one story, as far as I know). The gifts and jewelry are in the front room, which is the largest. The room behind that has mini rooms sectioned off on each side, which is where most of the smaller art pieces are usually kept. In the back of the gallery, natural light shines through a window with stained glass panels around its edges. An orange tree sits just on the other side of the window, like natural art. The back room is usually my favorite, since this is where the larger furniture pieces are kept. There are also several pieces in this room by an artist who paints NorCal forests in this magical, surreal manner. If I had $700 to spend on a painting, I would buy one of those. Overall, the art is well-chosen, the ambiance is outstanding, and the employees are friendly. This is one of my favorite shops on Sutter Street.”

“I was having trouble getting a quote for the fraMing of my three-piece painting until I went into Artistic edge and spoke with Kathy. She patiently helped me select the frame and David did a masterful job of building the frame. I highly recommend Artistic Edge.”

“First time coming here.Parking is a bit confusing, with no designated parking lot. Unless you park in the activity area which was closed. So we had to park on the street, next to apartments. The museum is almost hidden in a sense. It's modern and not that visible besides the sign out by the sidewalk. The inside is really nice and clean. Really cool stuff, and the gentleman working the front desk was very friendly and welcomed our family. We came on a Wednesday so not that many people besides us, maybe if most 3 other families. The admission is $5 for adults. Children under 5 are free. They also have outdoor seating before you hit the walking trail. The trail is not that long, btw, nice sites as you walk. The museum is stroller friendly. As far as the trail, it can get bumpy if you take a stroller on the trail. Very small museum but a relaxing experience.”

“I have had the pleasure and honor to have taken classes from Kirk Miller when he was located in Tustin, CA. His pricing was fair and he was flexible with one's schedule. He is personable and encouraging, making it easy to be his student. He is never negative or critical. He suggests tips from what he sees artistically and will walk you though whatever you might be needing as you develop your painting. He is skilled at helping you develop YOUR painting that is attractive and captivating but is still "you". I am certain his current students feel as fortunate to have him in Folsom as we were here in Tustin.”

“Dim lights, comfy seating, and great coffee. The staff is really nice too. This is my favorite place to study and get work done without being distracted with lots of movement like a lot of other coffee places. I love when someone is playing music in the back.”

“Small gallery with local and national artists. Pieces are for sale. Most items are modern but some have a classic feel. Easy parking and free to wander the gallery.”

“I absolutely love this place. It is so much fun to visit and look at all the clocks. I brought in two clocks today for repair work and they were fixed right on the spot. Since it was Valentine's Day, I bought myself a beautiful wall clock. I highly recommend this place. The service is great and you can't beat the prices. The Clock Shop is definitely one of Sacramento's treasures.”
