Subject: Disappointing Experience with Kidswell - Lack of ProfessionalismI rarely find myself compelled to leave reviews, but Kidswell Auto Glass left me with no choice due to a distinct lack of professionalism throughout the entire process. As someone well-versed in the automotive industry, having managed my own shops for several years, two-hours to their facility based on assurances from the owner that they could handle a specific job – the replacement of two curved laminated glass door panels for a '65 El Camino.Prior to my visit, I had communicated with the owner, providing text messages and images detailing the specific requirements of the job. It was made clear that this type of glass work is not commonly undertaken by most glass shops. Nevertheless, the owner asserted that he could manage the task, prompting me to drop off the original glass for the purpose of creating accurate mock-ups.Couple weeks later I followed up, complete lack of communication. Calls and texts to the owner's cell phone went unanswered, and when I contacted the shop, Marie, who was seemingly the only point of contact, could only take messages. My efforts to follow up persisted over the course of a couple of weeks, with no response received.In the end, two months passed without any acknowledgment from Kidswell Auto Glass regarding the status of my project. This lack of communication, coupled with the owner's failure to inform me that the job was beyond their capabilities, resulted in an unnecessary delay to my project. It's essential to note that I would have understood if the job proved challenging or unfeasible, but the complete absence of any effort to notify me of this was both unprofessional and inconsiderate.Yesterday, I retrieved my glass from Kidswell and, fortunately, found an alternative solution at another Bay Area shop that not only could handle the job but also communicated effectively throughout the process. I reluctantly award Kidswell Auto Glass two stars, primarily due to the courteousness of Marie; otherwise, this experience would have warranted a one-star rating. In business, honesty and transparency are paramount, and unfortunately, Kidswell Auto Glass fell short in delivering on these principles.

I drive a 1983 Mercedes 300sd sedan and my windshield was cracked in two spots. I couldn't find anyone who was willing to touch my car because the seals on the windshield and back window are apparently super hard to do correctly, but kidwells not only did it, he did it the same week I called and it looks perfect! He was also willing to work with my schedule to do it!! I am so incredibly grateful for them. I called over 10 other places and they wouldn't even consider replacing it. Can't say enough good things about Kidwells!

Got my back window fixed per it got busted out in the Bay area by a thief. They were going to let me leave without removing all the broken glass out the hatchback door (I drive a jeep Cherokee) and it caused the sensor for my door to trip and the open door light would not shut off. They claimed compressor broke. I would have waited longer at home until compression was fixed or replaced. I waited around as they fixed compressor and vacuumed the glass out. Open door light eventually shut off. At least my back door didn't sound like a rattle anymore that was a plus. Cost $485 to fix.

Very knowledgeable and polite employees and very understanding and quick to get work done, went in needing a replacement window and got an appointment the same day 4 hours later. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing Auto Glass taken care of.

I called and had questions about getting my window fixed. I spoke to a really nice woman who answered all my questions and was so helpful. It was nice to get a follow up call from Dan.I took my car in right away and they were able to fix my windows for a great deal and did it in under 30 minutes. I highly recommend them. A friend recommended me and they are wonderful, affordable, friendly!
