“I recently had the rare opportunity to require my old 1966 Barracuda Formula S that I had regrettably sold over 22 years ago and had somehow found its way to Bob's Fine Cars and in the good hands of Peter. After the thrill of initially finding it, a phone call with Peter which confirmed the car was indeed my lost one and also confirmed Pete is a solid stand up guy, and a 10 hour drive from southern CA I had the pleasure of meeting not only Pete, who shared my enthusiasm for the car, but also his parents who stopped by. I was struck by the smaller Mom Pop business feel where you are treated more as family/neighbor/friend than just a random customer. It seemed both Pete and Bob were both as happy and excited as I was to be reunited with my old 66 S. Deal was done that day, and Pete was most helpful in arranging transport and in making sure I received all the extra parts, books, records were safely delivered. “My old, first-car Honda was having a really bad time and it was time for an upgrade. That car had a large number of issues but still they took it in for trade and got a margin of my price knocked down! Not only that but they were kind enough to buy the parts for me to fix up the very minor issues the car did have! Tom over there is a truly empathetic and kind person and I'm very glad he helped me through the process.
I opted to do the repairs myself and she's running like a dream, significantly better than my old Honda making blender noises on the highway.

I see a lot of older reviews speaking in disappointment, and I know that not everyone's experience will always be the same. However, I would like to express my gratitude for how my experience went.

I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a good car with a good price. Though, I'd say with them as I would with any other dealer, take the car on a test drive and have a PERSONAL (not a shop) mechanic inspect the vehicle. They'd likely want you to do that first as well, a lot of shops will upcharge you around here. They told me to bring it back if I had any issues so they could try themselves before taking it to another shop. I'd say that'd be your best bet, my experience proves to me that they cared about my time with a new car and not just a dollar sign.

Inspect it first, then talk about how you can work a deal out that'll benefit the both of you. They're good people, give them kindness.”
