The store has been around as long as I can remember since the early 1970s, probably longer. They have a pretty good selection. As a kid, I came here for candy bars, but the last time I went in, I got Luxardo cherry liqueur. I was pleased they had it!

I love their staff. They are super friendly & so knowledgeable.
The store has everything you could ever need in a liquor store. Wandering around, it almost feels like a museum. There are interesting items everywhere.

I get into John's once in awhile to buy a few overpriced cigars or something for my humidors, or just a cool lighter. It's overpriced but whatever.
So yesterday I was in there with a friend and he was eyeballing the selection of lighters so I told him to pick one out and I'd buy it for him. I figured it was what, like $90 tops? Okay.
But your *guy* treats him like he's some kind of a tweaker thief, moving to keep himself between my friend and the lighters, blocking him with the door, turning the cabinet away, not letting him see any of the actual lighters. Bro actually told him your lighters are "too good" for cigarettes. Completely unsure why this is how you think a business is run.
And yeah maybe it would have only been a $60 sale, but who just turns up their nose at a sale which is already a done deal? Is John's just rolling in piles of so much cash they can let guaranteed sales walk out the door?
Imagine thinking your *Eureka* business is Just That Fancy.

The staff is extremely friendly, but it doesn't make up for the $7 price tag for two 1-liter bottles of soda. That said, the guy at the register was incredibly nice, taking some of the sting out of the highway robbery associated with the price of the soda.

This is amongst the finest businesses I have ever frequented. The tobacco and liquor selection is top notch. Many other condiments and accessories readily on hand. A family run establishment with an awesome, quirky, knowledgeable staff. As good as it gets! Amongst my all time top ten favorite businesses I have ever frequented.
