There were several artists featured and they were all quite good. The gallery which is an early 20th century building was amazing (primarily old wooden columns, floors, stairs of such detail).
They have a small gift shop in the basement and the displayed art was nicely featured.
Ticket price for seniors: $2. each, and $5. for adults under 65.
We recommend a visit!

Museum was in a 100 year old Carnegie Library building beautifully kept. Wonderful exhibits of local area artists several of whom are nationally and internationally acclaimed. The exhibit of masks done by local elementary children was amazing. So nice the staff at the museum does these things with the children and the community. The gift shop was one of the best we have seen in the many museums we visited across the country. It was filled with unique items many sources from local artist and many also sources from artists in Nepal. Much of the sales from those went back to those artists. The gentleman who bought the gift shop products did a fantastic job. Everything was reasonably priced and made choosing something for a gift a difficult choice. Admission to the museum was $5 and $2 for seniors. Well worth the hour we spent here. Great stop in Eureka.

Each time I go into the beautiful Carnegie library that is now the Morris Graves Museum, I am impressed with the quality of the exhibits and their quality presentations. I have seen some amazing, wonderful art and shows at the Morris Graves museum, and look forward to going back soon. The artwork is always diverse, high-quality and worth the time and energy.

The building itself is a work of art. Aside from any installation or concert, it is worth a visit.

I had a day free in Eureka and had wanted to visit this museum, but it was closed. Now there was the Redwood Coast Music Festival a couple days later, famous for its Cajun and Zydeco music, during the following weekend and the museum was one of the venues where artists played. I had the chance to see the exhibits, except for one room turned into concert hall. There was a very nice painting exhibit of black and white paintings by Kay Harden of the redwood forests around, and otherwise a rotunda with photos on the second floor. Nothing else. I was glad to have the chance to see the exhibits. Kay Harden is a gifted artist and her art is worth seeing. Very small place otherwise.

I love it here. It's exactly what you want when you roam around in an art museum. I learned about the Romano Gabriel sculpture garden here, and I'm still deeply fascinated. The people were very kind. I plan to stop here everytime I am passing through.
