Darin is wonderful to work with. He makes everyone feel welcome in his store and loves to share his passion with people. He had my engagement/wedding bands soldered together and sized by adding a horseshoe spacer into it. This option saved me so much money. It was reasonably priced to do it through his repair guy while other jewelers had quoted me 3x the amount. I can't wait to go back and start collecting pieces from his store, he has a huge range of vintage and unique jewelry!

This jeweler is magnificent. I have many pieces from him. He is incredible to deal with. Honest fun and extraordinarily helpful. He has a wonderful reputation in the community and his is the only place that I would go these days to buy pieces or have my jewelry worked on/repaired.

incredible shop. incredible service. the best jewelry place in eureka. I have purchased many pieces from the shop both to myself and as presents for people at my work. He's done repair work for me and spotted problems with some of my pieces by viewing him and saving me from losing stones in my rings. This is an incredible place to get fine jewelry in Eureka. The owner is so honest and trustworthy. I took a vacation.not long ago, he lent me some jewelry to match my outfit for a very black tie event. didn't even ask. The owner is a wonderful businessman and wonderful jeweler. highly recommended.

This jeweler is not GIA certified nor does he do repair work in the shop. He did not return an 18 kt gold bracelet shell for me. He is either saccharinly sweet or monstrously mean. I spent over $5000 at this store. In order to retrieve my jewelry, I had to call the non-emergency line of the Eureka Police Department who told me that this is not the first time they have been called about JDJ. Buyer beware!

This establishment is the place to get the finest jewelry in Humboldt county by far and as its by appointment only you literally have the place to yourself so you may shop without the added stress of habing other customers there to take away the owner's attention.

We went to James Darin Joaillier to purchase a new chain for one of my necklaces and also resize one of my rings. When we arrived the owner was just opening & putting out plants alineing the doorway to his business. He welcomed us with a very friendly hello and apologized for one of his jewelry cases being covered, explaining the water leakage on the ceiling. These businesses rent, so this is not the fault of this business. After spending time with him my husband and I were very happy with our experience and have since gone back to him. Walking in i was impressed by the showmanship of the white carpets and white piano. My first question was if my jewelry would leave the premises and I was told everything was done in house. When I was ready to bring the inherited jewelry in, he again said that it was done in house. We went over the details of the sizing and how I wanted the wedding set joined because there was to also be the grooms band joined to the bridal set. A couple of weeks later I called and they were not ready yet. Anothter week or so later he called to check the order in whIch the rings were to be put together stating they were in the jewelers hand. We discussed that it should be the engagement ring, the wedding band, the grooms band Another day that I stopped in I was told that they should be in by FedEx by Friday and I should have spoken up then but I didn't want to make him upset because I didn't want to jeopardize getting my irreplaceable rings back when they should have been kept in house as promised On Friday I stopped by only to find the store closed early with no sign in the window so I called to leave messages When my husband called the following Monday to check, he was greeted with a very unprofessional attitude saying that he didn't like being called on the carpet and hung up on my husband. I then called him back and was told that they were ready and he would be open the next day I have my rings, not sized properly, joined in the incorrect orders and totally misaligned The store is now a total shambles with buckets of water from leaks all over and stained carpets

My fiancé and I picked out a ring that was one size too small. I took my ring into the shop, it was sized quickly. They also polished and cleaned it up, it came back ever more beautiful than it was before.
