Jose went above and beyond in making sure our stay was top notch - from texting us information about the hotel to proactively giving us late check in just in case. When we arrived Jose carried our luggage upstairs (the elevator was down) and got us seating at the tavern. The room was beautiful and slept well. If you are looking for a place to stay. You have found it!
Rooms: Beautiful!
Safety: We felt safe
Walkability: Many shops and restaurants are around

We stayed here last night and it's quirky in the best possible sense. The building is beautiful with interesting little touches and rooms everywhere. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. After some corporate and soulless rooms this was a pleasure. No t.v. but that is not a minus, in fact it was refreshing. There was some noise from outside but the modio device in-room sorted that. Blackout blinds are a preference of mine but I can't deduct a star for personal preferences as the next person in the room might hate them. Places to eat on site and more places a very short walk away. All in all staying here last night was a pleasure.

We stayed over for a business trip and had a marvelous time. We were attending a trade show happening at the Inn's ball room area. Great hosts for a perfect place to connect and share local wines and Spirits. Looking forward to coming back for more fun and a little less work! Our stay was delightful. Dinner and drinks at the Tavern was perfect. The room was amazing and the bed was welcoming and comfortable. Such an amazing place full of History.

Victoria and team are true delights to talk to at this iconic establishment! We got the corner top room with great views of Old Eureka. We lucked out and stayed during a first Friday festival. Loved the convenience of shopping local vendors so close to our hotel. Take time to explore this beautiful hotel and take advantage of the yoga studio!

Beautiful hotel and excellent maintained rooms and friendly staff. The restaurants werentnopennuet when we were there, but I'm certain the food and drinks would have been epic. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and if you run into tje little French bulldog named Nomad, make sure to scratch his back! He is precious! ?

This is a cute place. The rooms have a vintage charm, but definitely have a scent that makes it clear you are in an old place. When we were there, the elevator was broken, which was very inconvenient for my disabled husband. I wish the room had a microwave. The area of town is nothing special, kind of industrial, not much around. We would likely return, hopefully to a working elevator.

Cool old hotel with fun rooms. We were traveling with a six week old, so the rooms weren’t ideal for our situation, however, the front desk did an excellent job at doing whatever they could to make it work for us. I appreciated that effort and would go back! Thank you for making us feel valued enough to problem solve our issues so we could stay.

It was a delight to stay in a 150year old hotel - especially on the west coast! The staff was very friendly and the room surprisingly spacious (knowing the age of the building, I had feared to be showed into a much smaller room).
When I inquired about the room facing the street, the response was "...we do have a sound-machine, if you like to use it..." oh-oh! A sound machine to combat street noice? Not a good omen! However, 2nd street is at the far end of the old-downtown and hardly any cars drive there (before 9am). Never felt the need for it.
The restaurant Tavern1888 was delightful! The menu was interesting international without trying too hard or being too upscale. We are so glad we stayed in - def. worth it.

Incredible place to stay while road tripping down the coast! Great place to stop between the northern redwoods and the Humboldt redwoods. And the Inn itself is such a charming, funky and hip place to stay! I definitely want to come back to Eureka for a longer stay at the Inn at 2nd and C!!
Rooms: Every room is unique and they are so charming! You feel like you might fall asleep and wake up in the 1880s!
Nearby activities: Right in Old Town Eureka near tons of shops and restaurants
Walkability: Right in Old Town Eureka near tons of shops and restaurants
Food & drinks: Great food and bar in the hotel!

I gave the location 3 stars because old town Eureka is in need of revitalization. The hotel is magnificent , and I would stay here again. Hopefully when one of the shows is being conducted !
Rooms: Very nicely appointed. It’s a Victorian era hotel with Victorian style furniture
Noteworthy details: This is a great old Victorian era style hotel. Very pleasant has an old school bed and breakfast vibe. I would stay here again. Its location near the waterfront is nice but old town Eureka is in need of revitalization.

Nearby activities: If you want to watch transients this is the place for you. Great hotel. Terrible location now that it is over run with homeless.
Noteworthy details: In the middle of the homeless Mecca for Northern California. Almost as
Bad as Seattle or Portland. So many and they are constantly yelling and making noise at all hours of the night. Very disruptive when trying to sleep.
