I’m a volunteer at HART (1 year now!), and I love it… we keep the rescue clean & orderly and take excellent care of our cats and kittens. The atmosphere is welcoming, and our senior staff are very kind and knowledgeable. Come give us a visit!!

I had to surrender my cats and HART took them. I went to visit the kitties and they were happy. Artemis was not happy, but he just had surgery. Meow.

Feral Cats Period. Myself and my two boys 8 and 12 were led on for several weeks by this so called shelter. All the cats are feral and were given to them by local shelters because they are not adoptable. (Told in an email after explaining to 2 boys that we "aren't a good fit".. We're asking about Aster and his brother who aren't Siamese they are ragdoll which shows the education of this bunch. Lead adults on for 2-3 weeks about adoption but when I fill out my app and have kids oh no we aren't good enough or understanding of what they label feral ad. SCAM !!!!

I recently adopted a cat from this facility. I specifically informed the staff that while I was financially able to care for a cat, I could not take on an animal with special health needs. I said this to several staff volunteers. I was told there were some minor health issues when he came to the shelter, but all had been resolved. When I got my cat home, he immediately showed signs of respiratory distress. I contacted the shelter and, you guessed it, a staff person confirmed he came in with respiratory issues. While I was given the option of returning my cat to the shelter, I could not bring myself to do so; we had already started to bond. To the shelter's credit, they did pay for his first round of medication. If you decide to adopt from this shelter, question, question and question again, before you take home a pet. Also, insist on seeing ALL records especially if you are told an animal had experienced any kind of health issue. This was my mistake. I believed the staff when they said all my cat's health issues had resolved. I am still dealing with vet bills - $400 to date, with more to come if my cat is diagnosed with asthma.

A cat and kitten rescue organization, with very caring staff and volunteers- both for the cats and the people. They understand felines and human interaction with them, and carefully select owners to match their felines. There is an application and screening process which includes several visits in order to be certain they match will work.

This is a great place to find your new best friend! You can look at the kitties and play with them and learn all about them from the volunteers. They're well-taken care of and it's always hard not to adopt more than one...
