“Jose went above and beyond in making sure our stay was top notch - from texting us information about the hotel to proactively giving us late check in just in case. When we arrived Jose carried our luggage upstairs (the elevator was down) and got us seating at the tavern. The room was beautiful and slept well. If you are looking for a place to stay. You have found it!

“We would like to thank the employees and the owners of this hotel. It was one of nicest hotels I have stayed in. Im a flight attendant for a major airline for 25 years and this place was incredible. It was remodled and very clean. The staff treats you like a friend. Are transmission went out on our véhicle and had to stay a extra night. Rented a car for the rest of our road trip and will be staying with them on the way back to pick up our véhicle. Trust me it's the nicest place in Eureka. Thank you so much Best Western Humboldt Bay Inn

“The new prix fixe concept is very for good for this lovely small restaurant, if a bit steep for Eureka. The entrees and salads in our group were delicious, as was the short list of wines by the glass. The Amuse and desserts were nice and creative, though we might have preferred to skip these and have a smaller bill. Service is a bit annoying, varying between fawning (“My darling”), snippy (“coffee is in the lobby”) and irritatingly fast and tidy, picking up every item one by one every few minutes while we tried for a relaxed evening.”

“Overall a very nice option for a stay in Eureka. Likely the most modern/new hotel in the area. Has a VERY colorful lobby with a cool water feature; the rooms have a more relaxed color tone. Breakfast has a number of options although it'd be nice if the hot components varied a bit. It's close to a waterfront trail if you want to go for a walk or run outside (tip: head south). WiFi is included and is FAST! Unfortunately there's nowhere to really sit outdoors. I also had an issue where I requested late check-out but had hotel staff trying to open my door at the normal checkout time. The room was quiet and comfortable.”

“We were really impressed with this motel!

The location was ideal it’s centrally located and close to all the activities we wanted to do. Being on the main road made getting around super easy. It is right next to a mall that has some transient activity, but the motel itself didn’t have any issues.

Our room was pet-friendly and on the first floor. You could tell it had hosted pets before, but it was still in good condition. If you prefer firm beds, you'll be comfortable here. The AC worked great, which was a relief. The motel is older, so keep that in mind.

The customer service was outstanding! I can't even begin to describe how amazing the customer service was. In a time when it feels like many places have staff who seem uninterested in helping, it was so refreshing to be somewhere where the employees were genuinely happy to see and assist their guests. The staff was always helpful and patient, answering all of our questions with enthusiasm.

Breakfast was excellent, too! We are all gluten-free, and so we were very excited that there was a decent number of options, which is rare. It would’ve been nice if they had gluten-free waffles, but that’s just a suggestion. ?

The pool and indoor spa were also really enjoyable, and the koi pond in the back was beautiful!”

“This is best the best deal ever, you will not find a motel more affordable than this. I recommend it to all. The most affordable, at your convenience. Beautiful staff. Very kind and respectful. Clean and comfortable, it's a castle. Please feel free to call them it's a real I guaranteed. You won't regret. I have been here 3 months. It's a blessing. GOD BLESS THEM.

“Just finished staying here with my family, the hotel was perfect and fit all five of us. The rooms were super neat and clean, incredibly comfortable beds and pillows and bathrooms were super spacious. Connie, Nathan, and Priscilla were amazing hotel staff and were so accommodating and helpful when we had questions or concerns. Overall everyone was super kind and very nice to talk to. Our two nights here were perfect and everyone was so sweet! Thank you red lion inn!!”

“The room was a surprise! For the price we paid it seemed so upscale! Clean and modern. Full amenities which one does not often encounter with a budget motel. This is in Eureka California, and we also stayed in one in nearby Arcata a couple of years ago, which was also delightful.
Super 8 all the way!”
