I'm so grateful Healing Spirit Animal Wellness Center was the Emergency vet on call when my dog had blood in her stools. Stephanie, the tech, was efficient and kind, and Dr. Sarah was clear with her explanations and treatment plan. I'm new in town and, while this isn't the ideal way to establish a relationship with a new vet, it was a wonderful experience. And, just 24 hours later, my dog is eating again and acting much more like herself.

Completely worthless. Dr. Green gave no advice or medication for my dog’s repertory infection, instead she charged me $250 to tell me that she wanted to pull his tooth for an additional $519. I have never been so dissatisfied with a veterinary clinic in my life. I will never go back.

Unfortunately my cat of 18 years passed away in August. She passed in our home. The next day I was able to bring her here to get cremated so I can keep her remains. They did this without being my primary vet. They were nice on the phone to my aunt who called for me because I was going through a lot that morning. When I came to bring my cat in the women here were so kind and compassionate. I ended up moving out of the area and they were really accommodating in having the remains mailed to my aunts house because I wasn't able to pick them up. I got the remains not long ago and saw they wrote the sweetest letter and everyone in the office signed it. It was so sincere that it made me cry. I just wanted to write this review to say thank you and recommend them. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided and for taking the time to write a card out. It meant so much to me especially in this time of grieving.

Fantastic! 5 stars. They saved my Kitty from death at least once, and they gave good medical care to my other Kitty to help her have the best quality of of life she could have, they also cured my dog, they are thorough and are top veterinarians with a great staff.

I have been a client with Healing Spirit Animal Wellness Center for many years Both Doctors and their staff have helped us through a few serious illnesses with our various dogs, they have helped us let our dogs go when it was their time and in one instance went way beyond standard to help us in a tragic emergency. I am so grateful for the excellent care, the knowledgeable staff and their dedication to continued education in Veterinary medicine. I have always been treated with kindness, courtesy in my exchanges with the folks at this hospital. Healing Spirit is an asset to our community.

New to town. Called because my dog is having an allergic reaction. They are not taking new clients. 3 stars bc they weren't able to see us but not 1 because I understand why. Just reviewing so others know to save their time and not call.

ATTENTION NEW CLIENTS OR THOSE INQUIRING: Don’t waste your time calling here. THE DO NOT SEE ANYONE WHO IS NOT A CURRENT CLIENT. Front desk informed me that they do not except new clients they also have a waitlist to become a new client so seeing them in any type of quickness is out of the question. It blows my mind that as a vet you can’t hire more people and you’d rather not see customers because you don’t wanna pay for more employees really blows my mind. As a vet aren’t you the one who supposed to be helping us care for our animals? And if not you then who else?

Horrible customer service. My dog was attacked on a Sunday night. I spoke to two people about bringing my dog in but they told me to go to river walk in fortuna because they were to busy. They told me that was the next one call after hours vet. They don't care about animals, only money. I drove 80 miles and found out they were wrong. River walk is closed and the on all vet is in mckileyville which is 6 miles from my house. Do not go to these people for any kid of emergency help. If you don't give them a lot of money then they won't help you. They don't even have accurate information in a crisis. Please avoid this place at all costs. They are horrible people that don't care about animals. Once I took there advice and drove all the way down to fortuna they shut there phones off. Do not put your animal in the hands of these people.

They've been doing everything in their power to help my dog gain mobility back after his tragic IVDD paralysis. The laser and accupuncture laser (I will shortly explain what I mean by accupuncture laser!) treatments they're doing are working like magic. It was a good call for them to suggest a CBD supplement for him too. We also wanted a referral to UC Davis so we could ask the neurologists there some questions and they got that for us too. We wanted to talk to dog trainers about helping him learn to use his wheelchair and they found us a bunch of options. They made special accommodations for him too when he was moving around too much for the accupuncture needles and did an 'accupuncture laser' on him instead, which was basically like lasering him at accupuncture points. Over the course of the next 2 days after they did that, he showed nearly miraculous signs of improvement even though he was over 6 weeks out from surgery. It was amazing how well it worked. The happiness I feel is out of this world. I recommend this place to everyone. Very very very great place.

The doctor (Sarah) and her staff are fantastic. I just moved to the area for school and noticed my dog had developed this weird bump/growth on her foot. I of course was concerned and after hours sent them an email & planned to call in the morning to schedule an appointment. I received an email back before they opened letting me know they had availability that morning! I'm so glad they did because I'd have worried about my dog the entire weekend. She does have another issue (BM issues I won't go into) but Dr. Sarah was so patient with me and checked out my dog Poppy for that too. She sent us home with some probiotics to help. I HIGHLY recommend this Veterinarian and her staff. They helped ease my worry and I patiently (or impatiently) await my dog Poppy's test results on her growth.

We have a difficult dog at the vet, I'll start with that. He's terrified and acts out aggressively. We were working with a trainer and doing our best, but Dr.Dessen treated us like we were a problem and always made me feel judged, like I was a bad dog owner. I was trying my best and she wouldn't work with us. It got to the point that she wouldn't even return our calls. We would give messages to the vet tech and they would say " we will talk with the doctor and have her call you". She wouldn't return our calls and so we finally switched vets, and we could not be happier with the new one. Our dog is more calm and they work with us. I don't think Dr.Dessen gave any effort to be personable with us, or build a relationship with our dog. There was one time Dr.Dessen was out and we were seen by Dr.Green, she was much sweeter and personable, if you go here I would recommend requesting to work with her.
